Best Pint of Guinness in th e City – My favorite local dive, where a proper pint of Guinness is poured like clockwork and local musicians play their hearts out. In the French Quarter, but miles away in spirit from the junk polluting bourbon street. Shame on you if you order a Bud Light.

BEST BAR IN NEW ORLEANS!!!! – On our first visit to New Orleans, we accidently stumbled upon this bar. Since it shares my name, I had to check it out! It was a great escape from the typical New Orleans madness. Great beer & great music. It makes me wish I was Irish! The bartender was super friendly & pretty nice to look at too! ;) I noticed all the dollar bills on the ceiling & let my husband & the other patrons talk me into putting my own up. After that night, The Kerry became "our bar". Since that visit, we have been there 3 more times. Last year we were lucky enough to be visiting during the Kerry's anniversary party. It was so much fun! We vowed to go to New Orleans at least once a year & with each visit, we will stop in & say hello to The Kerry! It has a small town bar atmosphere, yet it makes everyone feel welcome! If you are extremely lucky during your visit at The Kerry, you will get to see the local band "Rites of Passage"! This band is so great & so fun & by the end of the night, you feel that you are old friends!

Have a Gaelic old time in an Irish pub awash with good beer, great music and neighborhood-bar charm. – In Short
One of a handful of Celt-influenced outposts in the French Quarter, this is a small, friendly bar that features decent-to-very-good musical talent. Not all of the music is Irish, either; local folk and fringe acts such as Jim Smith or Aural Elixir are likely to perform. Although tourists do wander in, this spot sports a neighborhood feel; it's a decent place to hang out and drink, shoot pool or do whatever.

Amble in – We recently stopped in Kerry to have a Guinness and then make our way further up Decatur Street. The band, Rites of Passage had just started playing a set so we decided to linger a while; this band was that good. More than two-and-a-half hours later, R O P was still on the small bandstand, still playing with terrific energy and talent. Needless to say, we pounded back more than that initial stout. If Rites of Passage is typical of the entertainment booked at Kerry, a stop here is mandatory for any visitor to the French Quarter--local or tourist alike.

Keery's is a Blast! – Kerry was great! The drink prices were excellent and the crowd was a mix of locals and tourists. There was a guy singing Irish songs on stage. It was a lot of fun. I will definately go back when I visit NO again.

Best Place for Guinness! – A great little place to enjoy a draft and game of pool. The shamrock on top of the draft was an unexpected treat this far south. When you need a break from the Bourbon St crowds, head a few blocks south to this little gem. Friendly folks!
