Reviews for Jasper's Place

My child absolutely loves going to Jasper's Place. I am very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the treatment my child receives. For my child to ask to go to Jasper's Place even on the weekends speaks volumes to me as a mother about how much he enjoys his time there. We have been using Jasper's Place for our after school program and summer camp for about 4 months now. I would highly recommend them!!

Could not live without it! – I find it so strange that some people have negative things to say about Jaspers Place. I have been going there for years and have never have a problem! I have three children that are 8 months, 3 years old, and 6 years old, and they absolutely love it there! All of my kids love and are happy with the staff. The moment we walk in they run to the staff and give them BIG hugs! The entire time they are there they have fun and come home with loads of stories to tell. They especially like activities like the Chicken Dance, the Tooty Ta, and the Bean Bag Bop, they walk around the house singing them all the time. Everyday at Jasper's is like a new adventure to them. My eldest enjoys all the different crafts and especially LOVES movie day in the summer camp where they walk over to the movie theater . Overall I find it to be a clean, safe, fun, and friendly place.

Kind of Boring; especially for older children – I wanted my kids to like this place. I took my kids here for a couple of hours because I thought they'd enjoy it. They were totally bored. There isn't a lot to do for older children (meaning older than three) and they don't really have very many toys in general. They did do periodic activities, but they weren't that exciting. The rock climbing wall left a lot to be desired. For one, it didn't seem very safe, kids weren't strapped to anything in case they fell, etc, though it wasn't too big.

I'm just disappointed that this place was so boring for my kids. Before taking them there, I can honestly say that I've never heard "this is boring" out of their mouths.

Some of the staff were very nice, while others were just okay. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, but it wasn't great either and the prices were higher than other drop-in facilities.

On a side note, I'm mortified that the previous reviewer had to experience hearing inappropriate comments about her child who has special needs. This place is supposed to be a special needs-friendly place.

Overall, the promises made in the brochure were not delivered by the facility.

Bad experience, will not return – Fortunately for us, we were only there for a party and did not pay for this service. You would think a place for children would have staff that was more enjoyable and personable. There were toys everywhere, but the children were only allowed to play with certain things. As you would expect with 3 and 4 yr olds, they explore and touch everything. My child picked up a toy and I was told that it was not for play, yet this toy was in a crate full of other toys in the "play" room. The staff seemed as if they were there to more or less keep the children from touching things rather than encouraging play. The games that the staff did attempt to play with the children were lame and boring--some children did not even participate for that matter. Another thing that I did not like about this place is that it seemed as if they lacked the sensitivity needed to deal with crying children. Also, there were inappropriate comments/assumptions made regarding my child's crying/separation anxiety without knowing the fact that he has special needs. I would think someone who has chosen to go into this field would have a higher level of tolerance. These sorts of places are popping up all over the place, as they are big money makers, but in my opinion you should check them out just as you would any other caregiver. Even more so in this case since you basically waive your rights by letting your child participate. Do yourself a favor and visit "Pump It Up." Lots more fun for the children, friendly and fun staff for the same amount of money. This place is only for those who like dropping their children off with strangers.
