Awesome People and Guest House – This was my first trip to NOLA. I did not have a good grasp of the area. I dound the St. Charles Guest House on Hotels website. What a find!!!!!!! We were a block from all the major parades and an awesome Pub. Mr. Hilton and everyone who worked there at the Guest House were knowledgable and so dang friendly. We will definitley be coming back again. Thank you so much for the awesome hospitality.

they're back! – i was in NOLA a month ago and couldn't stay here as usual becuase they weren't back yet,but they are now and now is the time to do New Orleans! Get our city back jumping. consider new years. St. Charles guest house is the best buy around, and really really great folks. come on down. it's the real deal. hey, the streetcars are running downtown again.....and until the st. charles lines get fixed the bus is free, it's only a two-step away from the quarter, and guess what, the new orleans crime rate is non-existent! i wandered all over by myself at all hours, come on, folks, it's time to go! stay at the st. charles.

A forerunner to the New Orleans' bed-and-breakfast movement. – The Scene
Staying here is a grassroots B&B experience--the property is comfortable and restful but void of most modern amenities. There is a secluded pool and patio area, for example, but no TVs or telephones in the guest rooms. This isn't to say that you will feel deprived. More than 1,000 books stock shelves throughout the house, and the inn's own Web site is chock full of recommendations for walks, tours, restaurants and other activities in New Orleans.

The Details
The innkeepers are as devoted to hospitality now as they were when they opened their doors decades ago. While most of the English-style bedrooms have private baths, the facilities for a few are actually located across a common hallway. Guests willing to walk a few extra steps pay less for this awkward arrangement. Tea and coffee are on offer at all hours.
