New Favorite Hangout!. I have been to Whitfields several times before for dinner and always had great food and excellent service but not really the place where the girls and I would hang out after work till now. Got an email about the Happy Hour Event going on all night on Wednesdays and the new lineup for music they have this month so the girls and I decided to check it out and so glad we did. The vibe last night was so much more fun than I remember, way better than we anticipated. Headed back this weekend to hear some of the new music they have lined up. I don't remember them having an appetizer menu before but I guess its new. All I know is that I loved the korean bbq wraps - they are excellent. Bar was packed last night, we met so many fun new people. Great place to enjoy dinner anytime and now its my new favorite hangout with the girls!
Once is enough.
I drive by Whitfield's Restaurant almost every day and when Living Social offered a $30 dollars worth of food for $15 I purchased one thinking this would be a good deal. Believe me the $15 as well as the other $80 we shelled out for 2 drinks, 2 salads and 2 entrees was way too much for barely mediocre food. If I am going to spend that much I hope I come away with the feeling I had a great meal and would love to come back again.
When it came to dessert we had had enough and hoped they would at least have great coffee or coffee drinks. When I asked if they had cappuccino they said no they only had french press coffee. I'm sorry but we had just spent $95 for our meal and they only have french press coffee!!!
Service was good. Not a bad looking place but nothing fantastic. Very nice art on the walls though. All for sale!!
only for those with disposable income (money to throw away). Whitfield's is a mediocre new American establishment for divorc
Do Not Go Here: Inedible and Overpriced. I am eating a cheese sandwich tonight at my house because the food at Whitfield's was so horrible. Not sure which was worse, the atmosphere or the food. Actually it was definitely the food. We were all ready for girls night on the town and ended up at an old folks' home. Seriously, an orange sauce on $30 fish? The wait staff didn't even want to be there. Do yourself a favor and just go to Taco Bell you'll eat better food and have a better time.
Two thumbs up!. Love, love, love Whitfield's! Consistent quality and service, warm atmosphere, and never boring-- Whitfield's is sure to impress! Try the fried green tomatoes...they're hard to beat!
AWESOME!.
It was my girlfriends and mines one year and a half anniversary. I wanted to try somewhere that wasn't a chain and was still sorta "upper-class" type restaurant. Being only 21 years old, this place hit the ticket. We were greeted be a VERY gracious hostess who seated us immediately despite us being rather early for our reservation. Our waitress (Amy or...Lauren?) was excellent and really knew her stuff about the menu! While we waited for our food, we listened to the pianist play some GREAT songs ranging from Billy Joel to Frank Sinatra. It made the time fly fast!
The food was AWESOME too. I had the Italian Gnocci and my girlfriend had the ceaser salad with shrimp.
If you're looking for a relaxing evening with friends (in an upscale place) or a romantic evening, here is the place!
Excellent. My husband and I try to go to a different restaurant each Friday and Whitfield's was chosen last week. I had the pasta special (3 cheese alfredo w/chicken) and it was super yummy and well priced. I also had the best pear martini I have ever tasted. The hubby had the filet and I can honestly say, it was the best filet I have ever had. The portions were appropriate. Our server Jamie was extremely attentive and helpful with the menu. We will definitely be going back very soon.
Best in Town. This is the best place to go for excellent service and excellent food. The chef is out of this world. The servers know what they are talking about and consistenly make sure you are happy. the owner makes rounds to also ensure his guests are pleased. Me and my husband come here regularly and it is one of our favorite places.
Loved it!. This was my first time to Whitfield's and loved it!. My pan-seared trout was fabulous. We sat in the back, where to me, the atmosphere was bit more casual and at ease. Enjoyed the piano player. Wilson, our server, was like an old friend by the end of our meal. Will definitely make a return trip! Lore
Best in Nashville. My husband and I recently visited Whitfield's Restaurant & Bar in Nashville. It was absolutely FABULOUS. We were promptly greeted by the hostess. She showed us to a great location to enjoy my meal. Next, our server came quickly to talk and fill our water glasses. We had some questions, and he gladly answered them. He in formed me of their specials of the night. We started out the evening with the Lobster Cheesecake. I ended up eating the Filet Mignon and my husband got the Baseball Sirloin. We finished the night off with the Cinnamon-Sugar Fried Cheesecake. After dinner, the owner came and talked to us. He was fabulous. I reccomend this restaurant more than any other restaurant in Nashville. I have lived here for 10 years and this place is BY FAR the best. Because of the excellent service, prompt seating, delicious food, and a great atmosphere, Whitfield's Restaurant is amazing.
