Morgan & Co. Jewellers specializes in Estate and Antique Jewelry and we offer an appraisal service. Our store also buys antique, vintage, pre-owned jewelry and watches.

An appraisal value is given to provide the cost of replacement if the valuable item is lost or stolen. Selling value on Estate Jewelry is based on market value and desirability.

Retail stores are not obligated to buy back jewelry. And if so, the current market prices will always set the values; which may go up or down for various reasons, i.e. metal prices may change or currency exchange rates may affect prices. The condition of your jewelry and watches can be a key factor for its current value. A seller may ask for an amount but offers given for purchase may possibly be ‘more’ or ‘less’. Private buyers may have the ability to offer more money than a retailer. The key situation is to find a buyer that is willing to pay what you feel your item is worth. Most stores with a buy back policy will usually take a watch on a “trade in only” and upgrade basis or offer a buy back rate which is only 25% to 45% of its original retail value within a restricted time period. Only very rare items and pieces with high desirability will fetch higher prices (sometimes values may appreciate over a longer period of time i.e., 5 years and more). Retailers will purchase and offer prices based on fair market value and what it may cost to restore estate jewelry and watches to a resalable condition.

When a customer chooses to sell their valuables, our staff suggests taking the “best possible offer”, even if that offer is from “another” source. We try our best to accommodate our customers but we understand if our offer may fall short of the desired amount. We offer fair prices but it’s most important that both seller and buyer are in agreement.

The suggestion would be to do your research, look online and check prices. What you may find are selling prices that someone is ‘hoping’ to get, but ultimately buyers will offer their best price. If you know the market (range of prices) then you’ll know what would be fair to you. It’s definitely a bonus if you can get more than what you may have expected!

Nice store. Nice merchandise. Marcus Rosner: not so nice owner. I bought, for just over $11,000, a Patek Philippe watch from him, and it didn't work. I took it back to the store four times--maybe more, but I have only four receipts--and Rosner put it on a winder. Rosner even conned me into buying a winder. God only knows why I bought it. Then he said he'd buy back the watch--for $9,000, even though it has appreciated in value. I don't care about the appreciation in value; I simply want my money back. Marcus Rosner is a greedy man, and I don't think I'll get it back, but I'm going to keep trying.

Superb high quality jewelry and watches – I have made numerous purchases over the past several years. The store carries high quality jewelry and caters to high end watch connoisseurs, specializing in Patek Philippe (new, pre-owned, and vintage). Marcus, the owner, has a vast knowledge of both watches and jewelry and understands his customers wants and needs. The entire staff has always been friendly and personable. The prices I have paid are fair and reasonable for the high quality items. I have gotten complements on virtually every purchase for my wife and know I have gotten excellent value on every purchase I have made..

Shocking – What in the world just happened?

I called the store to ask about shortening my watch bracelet, as it was too big for me. The representative who answered the phone was rude and unbelievably arrogant.

Granted, I didn't know what to call the watch bracelet at first, and I told him I was looking to shorten my watch strap, to which he rudely cut me off and told me he couldn't shorten a strap because straps were leather. He then proceeded to listen to me explain what I was talking about, interrupted and told me that it was called a bracelet, told me they were closed, and hung up.

...this store gets one star only because I can not give it zero.
