Shabu Fondue (Reported Closed)

The Food was awful and the Service was worse. This place was recommended to me by a co-worker as a cheap alternative so some of the other fondue restaurants in town so I was excited to try it. My wife and I went in the late afternoon for an early dinner. We had eaten at other Fondue restaurants and were looking forward to the experience. We were seated and then waited about 15 minutes before I finally had to ask to see a waiter. We ordered an appetizer and it was cold and not very tasty, then when we asked for more pretzel pieces for the cheese fondue we were told that they normally did not provide any extra. We offered to pay for the extra but the waiter then said not to worry about it. The steak was very small and the broth had very little flavor so the food was all very bland. In between the cheese and the main course our waiter had an emergency and had to leave so we were being served by the manager. As I said it was late afternoon and we were the only people in the restaurant so I was surprised that there was not another server available. Finally we got to the desert which was also very bland and frankly not worth the money. We mentioned our concerns to the manager and she said that there was nothing she could do about it and that we could contact the owner if we wanted to. We did take the owners card and called them and left a message and received no response. I would never eat here and would never recommend it to anyone. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Spend the extra $30 or so and Go to a real Fondue place there is a really good one in Ahwatukee called the Melting P0t
