the BEST place for desserts!. I LOVE this place. I'm surprised that there are any negative reviews, because I've never had anything I don't like. The decor is adorable, so is the presentation. The hot chocolate is super thick, but they'll thin it out with hot milk if you ask. Their cupcakes are the best and the tarts are to die for. Their individual chocolate pieces are pure perfection (try the Orinoco or Peanut Butter Meltaway), and just one or two is plenty for the night.

My only complaint is how busy it gets (although the staff still seemed pretty friendly both times I came in when there was a line out the door). Come during the daytime or you'll be forced to get everything to go. Last time I went in they said they'll be opening a few new locations, so hopefully it'll lower the traffic.

Overall, definitely a 5-star place!

Not all that!. Thought I would stop in because I heard all the buzz. Got a cappucino and a strawberry stuffed cupcake. The cupcake tasted like it was a day old, quite dry but the whipped cream on top helped. The cupcake had a strawberry cut in half on top but they left the leaf on the strawberry which was all wilted and made the strawberry inedible. As I was waiting for my cupcake, I looked in the window where some baked goods were being made and saw one of the cooks putting batter in a bowl using her fingers which were NOT GLOVED. Luckily, she didn't lick them or pick her nose in front of me or else I would have walked out. Won't go back. Totally overrated. Staff was helpful but didn't seem too happy-no smiles (maybe they should eat some chocolate but then again maybe that doesn't taste good either!!)

not bad. Their petit hot chocolate is a small espresso cup full of thick chocolate. Very decadent and tasty, but thick. The yellow cupcake with chocolate frosting is ok (I'm a cupcake snob). The chocolate frosting was tasty, but the cake part had a muffin-like texture, rather than a fluffy cake texture. It also tasted more like angel food cake rather than yellow cake. Overall, my first time experience was not bad.

Cramped chocolate store, but tasty treats inside. I went to this business last night around 9:30pm. Service is quick, but the space is really small for both customers ordering food and those sitting at the small tables. It was really crowded at that time of night; it seemed like it was a stop after dinner and before the bar. The prices are more than your average candy bar at Wawa, but the chocolate desserts are a nice treat. Lots of 20-somethings drinking fancy coffee and hot chocolate drinks and munching on yummy chocolates and desserts. Here's what we purchased: apple cider, coffee, hot tea, mocha chocolate cake (feeds at least 3-4 people), 2 belgium waffle triangle with a caramel middle, dipped in chocolate, and covered in chocolate chips, "junk in the trunk" -- a coconut/chocolate chip cookie square, and a raspberry bar; total = $30. A bit much for desserts, but it was pretty good. Also, be ready to pounce on a table especially if it's busy night.

Delicious desserts and hot chocalate! Heavenly.. I recently moved to Philly and discovered Nekked Chocolate Cafe. My absolute favorite is the Junk in the Trunk bar, a layered bar with coconut, pecans, chocolate and some other stuff. Every bite is magnificent and sweet, but not overly so. Truly amazing. Another thing to try is a piece of the Apple Streussel, warmed up. I also like the sipping chocalates. I've had the Aztec and the bittersweet and both were thick and delicious. The staff is really friendly and totally gorgeous. I totally reccomend it.

Best dessert cafe ever!!!!. Ohh my god! This place is heaven! You have to try the chocolate fondue. It is amazing. Since moving to Philly, I always looked for a nice cafe place to hang out and I think N*ked chocolate (it wont let me say the exact word) made the jackpot!!! You have to go if you haven't been there!!!

Chocolate Heaven. Well as for chocolate they have a great selection to water the mouth... the atmosphere is inviting and rich as it should be on Walnut. The prices fit in too---but I was very diappointed with their hot chocolate--Euro-style. It was not thick at all-the dark chocolate flavor was good--but it came out of a machine and the petite size is served in an espresso glass cup, which for those on a diet might be a good idea... but for those that really like their chocolate drink to warm them, I suggest Rim Cafe on the Italian Market. It's not pretentious and the chocalate is thick, and the owner is really French.

Dream destination for chocoholics. The Less-than-clothed (the real name is not permitted in the reviews!) Chocolate Cafe has just about everything a chocoholic could ask for including hand crafted chocolates made on the premises, a variety of baked goods including pyramid-shaped brownies called nudos in different flavors, baked goods including very good cupcakes (even in vanilla), pots de creme, ganaches (try the orionoco), and other treats, most of them very good. The cafe also has a number of coffees and teas, and, of course hot chocolate in many different sizes and varieties. If that is not enough, there are also sipping chocolates, and if the weather is warm, a frozen chocolate drink (not to be confused with the so-so milkshakes they also have) that is like having cold liquid cocoa sent through your system. Just remember to pace yourself, as there is no way that all of the offerings can be enjoyed in one visit.

Best. Hot chocolate. EVER.. I haven't had a single thing from this place that hasn't amazed me. I can't get enough of the hot chocolate here, and I don't even *like* hot chocolate! There are so many things I want to try, but I can barely wrench myself away from the usual things I get; I never get sick of them. Although the prices for some of the more complicated desserts are kind of high (although not really when you consider what it would cost to order it in a restaurant), don't judge the cost until you try the product. It's worth every penny. If you're worried about your pocketbook, try the cupcakes -- totally delicious, but pretty cheap as desserts go. Also good for the cost-conscious are the european-style (i.e. no milk) hot chocolate drinks. They are so rich that a teeny cup (seriously, they're adorable) is totally satisfying. If you get into the american style (i.e. with milk), you are playing with fire... the balance of milk and chocolate is SO PERFECT that you want to get a huge cup and refill it over and over again. ;)

My only complaint: They don't really have a system for alerting the staff to whether or not you need help. It is not obvious where to stand to order (sometimes you do it by the chocolate case, sometimes by the register, it's not consistent), whether you are supposed to pay first and wait, or wait and pay first, etc. If it isn't very crowded, then this isn't a big deal -- the staff are extremely nice -- but I haven't dared go in there on a Friday night when it is packed with people.

This place is great to go and sit with friends or a book. Their cups and dishes are adorable and the ambiance is really neat. I can't bring myself to go anywhere else for coffee or dessert!
