Empty but Good. I'm very late at this review and they place has closed down but I figured I'd write the review anyways. I went here in April 2010 and I had my 23rd birthday here. I made reservations which were clearly unnecessary since the place was completely empty. I had a group of seven friends total with me and we all enjoyed it. We got appetizers, entrees and desserts and none of us had a problem with anything there. Not to mention I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan and they played her music the whole time which definitely gives it a higher scoring from me! I wish they place stayed in business. It was pricy and I hate to see so many bad reviews about it when I enjoyed it. But if they were still in business... I'd go back!

Terrible, terrible service. I decided to try this restaurant on a Sunday night to see what all the fuss is about. Obviously, about the girls in bikinis. That's where it ends. My boyfriend and I had to wait for five minutes to get seated when the restaurant was almost empty (it was towards the end of the night). The manager told us he is waiting for the hostess to seat us. The hostess was nowhere to be found. Why couldn't the manager seat us? I thought that's part of his job.

Since it's Broadway, the 20% gratuity is included so our server could not care less about providing us with at least a minimum of service. Unfriendly and unwelcoming, she looked like she has been partying/drinking/screwing around all night. No bread, no glass of water, no busboys at our table. Across from us was sitting a family with children - they definitely were in the wrong place!

I was completely dissatisfied with my Hawaiian Tropic experience. The food is good and the decor is great but the service is extremely bad - will not come back.

Good food, good sights. I went here for dinner a couple weeks ago, not expecting much from the food. Not only were the women very pretty but my meal was excellent. The service was top notch and we had a great time. I'd recommend it for NYers as well as tourists.

Most tourist trappy place in the city. Avoid.. Checked this place out with two friends a few months ago. Three guys, burger and one beer each, bill over $100. Food burned, service awful, i.e.- staff more concerned with b.s.'ing with each other than asking if we wanted anything else other than the bill, atmosphere felt too clubby. Really not worth stopping here. Save your hundred bucks and go get a full dinner with decent service and food.

I Should Have Asked for his Phone Number!?!?!?!?!. So I was on my way to Hawaiian Tropics with my girlfriends last Friday, when this complete hottie came up to me.... He told me, he saw me and had to meet me... but I was too intoxicated to take his number down. Instead, I told him to meet me at hawaiian tropics and then there was a mob of people there...

That was sooo stupid! Well hottie if you happen to read this, send me a message!

Ohh yeah btw I love Hawaiian Tropics, I will be back there again this Friday.

Editorial Review. Bikini-clad waitresses serve up David Burke's menu of international fare at Hawaiian Tropic Zone.

Hawaiian Tropic Zone!. I've been here twice, once for lunch and once with friends after work. The food is very good, especially considering the touristy midtown location. Of course, it's not all about the food here. Beautiful girls are all about and the female friends we were with did not feel uncomfortable at all and had a really good time just eating, drinking and socializing. Defintiely would go back.

Bad Service. So, I went to the Tropic with a friend who had been before, and had LOVED it. Well, I don't know what she loved and she left wondering if we went back to the right place. We were meeting up with a group who was getting bottle service, which should mean that we don't pay cover. WRONG!! The bouncers were rude, as was the management. We ended up having to pay cover, but oh well, it happens. The place looked nice, as did the staff...but most clubs in New York look nice and have a great looking staff. The staff here was stuck up, tardy and overall very rude. Save the money you'd spend here and head to the Village somewhere.

Poor service, bad crowd. Thought I would check it out over the weekend, and despite high hopes was fairly disappointed. My biggest issues were the service and the lack of pretty girls (besides the staff, obviously). Expect to pay a bunch, have some drinks, and leave somewhat underwhelmed. Food is apparently tasty though, but I'm not one to eat at night clubs.
