“overpriced food, poor service”
Where is the manager?. I thought this restaurant was horrible!!!!! My server was an African American girl and she was wonderful attentive and very apologetic for the kitchen taking forever to get our food ready. We made a few modifications which were assurred to be ok and the kitchen decided to ignore the requests! Don't go on a Sunday is all I have to say. There was no manager on the premise to speak with about our experience either. The food was good when we finally got what we ordered and again the service was great. However I believe the management and the kitchen need some work. I would not reccomend this restaurant or the "sister" restaurant Aqua Blue. Both apparently owned by the same man who doesn't seem to manage his buisnesses well!!!!
overpriced food, poor service. My boyfriend and I were visiting San Diego last weekend, and we weren't very hungry, but we wanted to have dinner at a local restaurant anyway. We decided to try Bella Luna. We each ordered an appetizer and a salad, and unfortunately, our waiter decided that we weren't worth his time. He walked away with a promise to bring us bread, and we didn't see him again until he presented the bill. We had to ask for bread and for our water glasses to be refilled (after lengthy waits). Our food tasted fine but took much longer to arrive than warranted, and we ultimately felt the meal to be overpriced. I went away really upset by the experience.
Al fresco dining under the stars inthe heart of the Gaslamp gives meaning to this eatery's namesake..
In Short
Appropriately decorated with lunar-themed Italian artwork, diners don't need to wait for nightfall to enjoy a beautiful meal. Besides the charming, trattoria style dining space, guests are drawn to the patio for views of the Gaslamp District. Regional Italian flavors pair nicely with a wide selection of wines to choose from. Enhance your experience with house favorite anti-pasti, beef or salmon carpaccio. A dish to return for, sweet yet savory raviolis are filled with fresh pears in a mascarpone cream sauce, topped with walnuts.
