Awesome eggs and chocolate chip pancakes! – Road MUNI past here on a Sunday morning (10:30) and the place was packed, and again on the way back (2:30) still packed, so figured it must be good. Went on Monday morning around 9:30 and was seated right away. Had a hard time deciding between all the great options (including veggie), went for the Mediterranean scramble, and was very pleased. Eggs were perfect, ingredients were fresh, coffee was flavorful and not burned. Ordered the chocolate chip pancakes to go for later, and had a fabulous snack that afternoon. Despite the fact that by 10 the place was full and there were only 2 servers, ours was extremely attentive and friendly, it made for an enjoyable breakfast experience.

Cute, corner eatery serves up breakfast classics and burgers in Noe Valley. – In Short
The small, warm one-room restaurant has a friendly, neighborhood diner vibe. Slightly more upscale than the typical greasy spoon, the space boasts high ceilings and windows that give the tiny space an airy feel. Basics like burgers, bagels, waffles and buttermilk pancakes can be enjoyed at the small counter that seats six, at one of the tables inside or at an outdoor two-top facing Church Street. Little desserts like cheesecakes and pies are displayed in a small fridge in the corner.

Nice addition to outer noe neighborhood – Have eaten here several times since they opened (including opening day). Food is usually very good, though not always. Prices went up about a month after they opened, which was disappointing. I like their lox scramble and their veggie scramble. However, two times when I've ordered the lox scramble its arrived without the promised avocado (which they brought after I pointed it out to the waitstaff. Service is adequate and spotty. Really like their veggie salad and poppyseed dressing. Good iced tea.

Wish list: put the butter in its own dish, have waitstaff verify correctness of order, more attentive wait staff (tired of seeing my order cooling for several minutes before being served)

Excellent diner – Ate here for lunch, the turkey burger was excellent and came with a very generous side salad. My husband enjoyed his waffles with fresh strawberries immensely. My husband eats here regularly and likes it a lot, although he doesn't recommend their cappuccinos to afficionados. I stopped in another time for some toasted english muffins. Think of this place as a diner. Reliable good, simple American food but don't expect the same service that you'd get at a four star restaurant.

Terrible service, bad food, ignoring customers – My boyfriend and i ate at Toast on Church Street the first weekend they opened. We thought the service was a bit slow b/c they were ultra busy. But, the service continued to be bad.. ignoring customers, the food took FOREVER and, there were shells in our eggs... and, needless to say, the couple sitting next to us had shells in their eggs too. Well, i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, so, we tried them again about 2 months after their opening. BAD CHOICE. Again, the service was terrible, my order was wrong, our food had been sitting at the counter to be delivered, but, we only received it when we asked where our food was. We again waited FOREVER for our food, and, again, it was bad, bad service, bad, bad, bad... I've never been at a restaurant in the city that completely ignores their customers, serves food in no particular order, and is quite consistent in their BAD hospitality and food. Toast looks great from the outside, and, the menu looks even better, but, it's all just a glamourous facade. A complete disappointment... over and over.
