The stylists here know their stuff. Got cowlicks, greasy spots, or otherwise unmanageable hair? They've got it in the bag, and they'll even give you styling tips. Come back often and you'll have a perfect and timely style.
No matter where you part your hair, Kammie's on your side! – I won't forget how disheartened I was the last time I was faced with the burden, YET AGAIN, of having to look for a new hairstylist. I was sooo tired of trying out different places, only to be disappointed. All too often, I’d walk out feeling that no one understood the language of my crazy hair. Yes, my hair IS a bit crazy, and that’s why I really need someone who knows how to tame it. But then I heard about Tiger Tiger from my sister (who told me that her friend got a DARLING haircut there, and she doesn't even live in Portland but gets her hair done whenever she's up here) so I decided I had to give it a shot. It always takes me some time to get a good feel for how things are going, but I’m happy to say that for almost a year now, I’ve been getting my hair done by Kammie, and she is brilliant! When I sit in that chair, I know I’m in good hands because she is professional, talented, and meticulous. I have no reason to doubt her instincts because she delivers every time. She is an exceptional listener and is always focused on finding solutions that are realistic for me. Having the technical skills is not always enough, and I feel that with Kammie, you get the whole package --- she’s an expert who also happens to be extremely personable and receptive. I am not even much of a people person, but it’s always great to see her. All of the staff at this cozy little salon are very supportive of each other, and I believe this also has a positive impact on the clients’ overall experience. Whether you’re having a bad hair crisis, or you’re just looking for someone to help you maintain your already wonderful hair, I highly recommend Kammie.
Always a good experience at Tiger Tiger – I have been to Tiger Tiger a number of times now, and have only gotten haircuts until recently when I decided to dabble with color. My experiences at Tiger Tiger have always been good, but a couple stylists, namely Kammie and Ashley, have made my experiences great.
I recently got highlights done by Kammie, who was very informative and reassuring, as this was my first time experimenting with color. She went through a few photos in magazines to give me examples of the sort of look she was going to try to achieve, which I found extremely helpful as I benefit from visual representations immensely.
I had spoken with her on the phone prior to setting our appointment, and she gave me a ton of information on her process and what she would recommend. I had mentioned that I am not into "up-keep," so she informed me that applying color to the layers underneath the topmost layer was an option, and would still allow for color to come through. I don't know anything about coloring, so this was a very useful bit of information. At the salon, she maintained this position, which demonstrated a wonderful capability to shape her skill to the desire of her clients. She maintained a laid back atmosphere but coupled this with a sense of professionalism, so I felt as though she knew what she was doing with the coloring process.
It's been about 24 hours since I got my coloring done, and I am really, really happy with the outcome. I definitely recommend coming to Kammie for coloring, but also for haircuts because my experience with her in the past has always been really great.
Kammie has technique – I just had a haricut with Kammie, and am very pleased with my overall experience with her and Tiger Tiger. The vibe in the space is very chill with style...Its decorated beautifully with calming colors. Kammie really seemed interested in finding the best cut for me and took a good lok at my hair and how it behaved and what she thought would be best. During the cut, I noticed she worked with her scissors in a refined way that made me feel confident in what she envisioned for my head.
Liz delivers!! – ...ok so now I am a firm believer in citysearch! After reading the reviews I decided I would come check this place out. I made my appointment with Liz and went from blonde to the picture I showed her of Ashley simpson red...she really knows her color because it was absolutely spot on! Maybe even better. She is sweet and a good listener. I may have also made a friend! I'm sticking with Tiger Tiger....it's in my neighborhood, but if it wasn't I would make the drive.
Best color ever!
Marisa is the BEST! – Marisa listened to my needs & helped me find the style that is right for me & my crazy busy life. I left looking like a million bucks! She did my hair for a party too & I got tons of compliments. Go see Marisa. You won't be sorry.
Always a Great Service! – I have to say that Alisa Schoedinger has been providing me with great cuts and color for years. I always know that I will turn out looking great from her services, but when I get bored with my hair, she is quick to suggest some new cut or color scheme that I always end up loving. I'm also happy to report that the times that I've gone to other stylists at Tiger Tiger when Alisa wasn't available, I've had great luck with them too.
Do yourself a favor and leave the guesswork out of hairstyling. Check out Tiger Tiger.
Leah is awesome, but where did she go? – I was going to Leah all the time but than she left Tiger Tiger. It took me awhile to find her but I just did. Hooray!!! She is now at Enhance on E. Burnside. I'm so happy I found her! No offense to Tiger Tiger, great salon, but I have been seeing Leah for about three years and didn't want to lose her.
Liz is fantastic – I went to Liz today to see if she could take my black hair (which I had been coloring for seven years) to a nice red. Though I hadn't made an appointment for the proper amount of time Liz went out of her way to make sure we could get it done. She even rearranged her next appointment so she could finish me up.
She was very honest with me about the fact that the black might not lift and that it might take several processes to achieve the color I wanted. I liked that she was truthful so that my expectations didn't get high.
However, the color came out absolutely gorgeous. I can't stop looking at it in the mirror. You'd never know that I had black hair this morning. She also gave me a great new cut without losing too much of the length.
All in all, it was a great experience. As someone also in the beauty industry I'm always impressed by techs who go out of their way to get the job done. Plus she's a sweetheart.
A Great Curly Haircut – I went for my first haircut at Tiger Tiger with stylist Kammie. My appointment was at 12, and I showed up on time and waited no more than five minutes before she was ready for me.
Kammie greeted me, and we talked hairstyles. She asked relevant questions about my hair, and really listened to what I was saying about what I wanted (and didn't want). She was with me from wash to dry--which I really like. I hate being passed around when I'm paying top dollar for a cut.
At each step of the cut, she explained what she was doing and why--really nice. She styled and blew it out for me and it looked great.
I have nightmare hair--curly, fine, tendency to be gigantic, cowlicks galore--and I am resigned to new stylists giving me the dread "triangle" head when I go short. This did not happen. She *amazing* gave me exactly what I asked for, and was pleasant, efficient, and professional.
I tend to go a long time between haircuts, and I felt like she gave me a style that will wear well. I will definitely go back for cut and color.
I liked the small, quiet salon, and parking was a breeze.
Great neighborhood salon – I decided to go here after all of the wonderful reviews I had read. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a cup of tea and a scalp massage. I then, got a great haircut to boot. My stylist was very precise and paid attention to detail. This place was great and also super adorable. Thanks for the great cut and massage Tiger Tiger
