I am not going there ever again – We had very unpleasant waiters . They were trying to be polite , but very superficially.

Uncomfortable seats.

bad food.

My son got food poisoning from the salmon he had ordered.

I don't have to spend money and be miserable so I will never go to any piknic restaurants in town ever.

Stay away – OMG, the worst dinning experience of my life. Magager was so RUDE!! If I could I would give them negative stars.

My friend and I went there for dinner last evening during a Laker game. We were told that a few of the table near the window were reserved but could sit anywhere else we chose. First of all, my friend ordered a salad and asked for no onions. When the food arrived her salad was loaded with onions. The waitress said that another patron order the same salad and there was a mixup in serving them. The minute the server bring the correct order and me take a bit the manager walks over to our table and asks us to move tables because it was reserved for another customer. We refuse as we were not informed of this by the hostess. We just got our food. About 2 minutes later he returns and insists on moving us. At this point my friend is livid. I was so morified by his conduct. The Manager never apologized nor did he offer to compensate us for the inconvenience. Needless to say we just got up from the table and walked out.

I will never go there again. Please stay away, they do not know how to treat paying customers.

First But Last Time – Arrived about 7:15 on a Saturday.

The outside ambience is nice, however the layout tends to amplify the noice level from inside to the outside (windows open when we dined).

Fifteen minutes after our order was taken, whom I beleive to be the manager (very young), advised us that they had jus ran out of one of our orders. Manager was pleasant but did not offer anything other than "sorry" for the inconvenience. Once we selected another menu item, it took an additional 20 minutes for our food to arrive for a total of almost 55 minutes. The orange chicken was way to sweet to enjoy. The orange chicken at Panda's Express is better prepared, for the flavor. It took myself talking with our waiter to see if we could get any compensation for the lack of food and the extra length of time for our food to arrive. He agreed on a day old cupcake that we couldn't even finish.

I tend to agree with previous reviewer, young and inexperienced staff (maybe from the college near by) that don't really seem concerned with customer satisafaction. A shame, nice location/ambience

Great service and steaks!! – Last night we went there with a few people from work. Started at the bar it was a great vibe, great wine selection and just plain fun!!!

When we sat down the table had been waiting for us despite the dinner rush and we promptly greeted by one of the funniest people i have ever encountered in ANY business.

Beyond the banter back and forth from my wiseguy dinner partners and the waiter John who was always one step faster then all three of my male dining companions, he was so expressive in the specials and the rest of the menu four of us just let him order whatever he thought was best, from appetizers (the stuffed mushrooms were to die for) and wine to dinner to dessert every selection was as described and perfectly prepared. The filet was as good as promised. The barmondi??? fish was very fresh tasting and went great with this spectacular sauvignon blanc he insisted on us trying.

I see some reviews here have been quite negative but i found the place to be perfect, maybe we got lucky with the bartender and server but bully for us!!!

I'd say and bring some friend and judge for yourself!!

Great job Piknic.

HORRIBLE SERVICE REFLECTING BAD MANAGEMENT – Was so excited to have found a local restaurant that had a good selection food. Although the food is good and can be altered to be healthier, the service is HORRIBLE. Too many times to count, we've been helped by wait staff with attitude. The last time, while walking to the restaurant, a waiter with a mohawk said audibly under his breath as we passed, "Excuse You." Sadly, he turned out to be our waiter. (Nothing against mohawks- I lived in Berkeley for years.) A simple dish which we ordered many times before took over 40 minutes to make it to our table. And when it did arrive, it was wrong. The manager does not seem to care to err on the side of graciousness either, so I am not returning.

I really like this place. It reminds me of "Toast" in West Hollywood. Great atmosphere! Very Solid Menu!

Great Lunch - Solid Portions - Fantastic Quesadillas – It seems as though the consensus is that people either really like or dislike Piknic. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I line up with the side that really likes it. I loved the atmosphere - trendy, but cozy and relaxing, and just as importantly, the food was fantastic - fresh, tasty, and filling. The quesadillas were fantastic! Plenty of thick chunks of chicken, not too much cheese, nestled within a perfectly grilled and crisp tortilla. The blackened salmon salad was very tasty-a full plate of crisp baby spinach and a thick portion of perfectly cooked salmon on top. The sweet potato fries were light and crispy - not at all greasy. The service was very attentive, as well. We were served beverages within a few minutes of being seated, and our waiter stopped by to check in on us 3 times. Our food was served very quickly - I didn't feel like we had to wait at all. The prices are definitely not cheap, but I wouldn't say that they are overpriced, due to the presentation, quality, and portion sizes. We actually had leftovers and were full. I don't know that I would go out of my way to go there for dinner, although I would be interested in trying it - but it is fantastic for lunch and, I'm guessing, breakfast or brunch.

PASS, no need to return – Overall decent place, its especially great if you live locally

atmosphere - afterwork casual, not a date place, food was actually horrible. Calamari was way to breaded and the mini burgers were stale, Margarita's aweful. I wouldnt go back

Two thumbs up all around! – Piknic as a whole is wonderful. The prices and staff are perfect too. I discovered Piknic about two months ago and I'm hooked. My friends and I have cocktails their one-two times per week.

No complaints what so ever – You know, I noticed something very interesting. First of all, this is a great restaurant who does it's best and only gets better with time. Second, for all of those people who write one review because you have something against someone there, you should stop because it's immature and stupid. Piknic has responded to the needs of the people of Playa Vista and tries it's best to make sure that everyone's happy, and this comes from someone who knows them well and only wish's them luck and success. Every place screws up once in a while, but,, it doesnt mean they dont care. Believe me, it's hard work.Overall, I wish them the best and they could definetly count on me forever.
