AMAZING Show! – I saw this production when it ran at the Atlantic and it is fantastic! Very edgy, very daring, and THE MUSIC IS RIGHT ON - totally unlike any other show. The music stands on it's own - and I don't usually like musicals. Very indie, very alternative - Duncan Sheik's music plays very well to the story. A little racy at moments - but the stroy is solid. Buy your tickets for the Broadway run - I'll be first in line!
America's first great dramatist stakes his claim on the Great White Way. – Renamed in honor of the late playwright in 1959, this theater originally opened in 1925 and was named after the classical actor Forrest. For many years, the O'Neill could not stage a hit, but once Neil Simon purchased it in the late '60s and starting mounting his own plays, it could do no wrong. Now run by the Jujamcyn Organization, the O'Neill is home to both dramas and musicals. Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" and Tony winner "M. Butterfly" opened in this house. Whatever the fare, try and sit center orchestra, rows A through J. The balcony can provide good value, especially the first row.
