horrible fitting room – the clothing are fine there, because they have many cheap stuff, I shop there some times. one thing that IMPRESSES me is the fitting rooms!! first of all I don't like the curtains they use instead of doors which seems not secure.
the first time I went to the store on Broadway, I was trying 3 pieces, however after a few minutes, someone knocked my room and asked if I finished, I politely answered no even though I was surprised that nobody ever did that in any other stores... then, during about 20-minute in the fitting room, I was disturbed at least 5 times by knocking or asking by the staff--- I was very mad that I told myself not to go again! that has never happened in my shopping life!
because of its cheap prices, I went a few times later till last Friday. I went to Uniqlo after work, I was trying pants in the fitting room, right after I put back my clothes I noticed that the curtain was open already!!! Can you believe it?! GOD--why did the people do this? does their Japanese boss tell them to rush customers by doing so?? H&M and other stores are busy all the time but none of them has done anything like this!!
well for some reason I didn't yell at anyone that time---BUT I swear if this happens again, I would definitely yell out and do something crazy---don't know what I'll do but I won't leave the store silently----swear
zoo on wknds – Fair prices and cool clothes. But don't go on the weekends it's a complete zoo.
looks good for a while – Uniqlo, I have 3 pairs of jeans and one fleece type top. The denim is nice looking but will stretch out of shape as you wear it. Too bad because nice stuff to look at and feel.
The fleece top looks raggy after wearing it a week and washing it does not help it. Prices are on the low side so maybe that is where the value is because the fashion sense is pretty good. Sort of like H&M type clothing with a Japanese twist.
love it! – Japanese denim rocks, and there’s lots of it at Uniqlo – at really reasonable prices. The first time I went to this store, I was with a friend who works in fashion, and he was like you have to try this denim. I did and he was right – it feels and looks fabulous. After that there was no going back for me. Sizing is something to keep in mind when shopping at Uniqlo since this line is made for Japanese waistlines. I had to go a size, or maybe two bigger than normal, which I tried to ignore, and in the end the fit made that easier to do.
They also have lots of other really cool casual and semi dressy clothing – including manga shirts, sexy summer dresses, kakis and polo shirts, along with super thin and warm lab tech underwear, which kept me warm all winter long. Recently I checked out their wearable sun screen line, and it’s very cool and comfortable, and keeps the UV rays down.
The staff is also really friendly and willing to go the extra mile, the dressing rooms are a little sparse but at these prices its easy to ignore.
Fill you closet! – 4 Stars Overall, but 5 Stars for Value. This is the place you go to get some well fitting wardrobe supplements. Stuff your closet with simple, stylish, inexpensive and great looking filler. Not unpleasant service people, but this place is busy. You will feel rushed, and make many impulse purchases. But its OK because everything is pretty decent and sharp.
Great quality, horrible fit – The denim is superb, the other fabrics are great. The construction is phenomenal. But nothing ever seems to fit quite right. Especially jeans or tailored pieces.
Horrible – My email order went out with all 3 sizes incorrect. Sent back with all the proper paperwork, but no response. No response to either voicemails or emails. Ended up having to dispute the charges with the credit card company after more than a month of waiting. Big pain. High drama, low quality. Extremely poor customer service.
Affordable Apparel – This is like United Colors of Benetton but cheaper and like Gap but better quality.
They don't usually carry items that are super in right now but you could count on them for classic pieces such as cardigans, T-shirts, sweater, underwear and best of all, in almost any color you could think of.
Whenever I need a simple sweater or t-shirt, I would come here to stock on them in different colors. The price here is recession-proof and worth every penny you spent!
BEST JEANS 4 UNDER $100 – I discovered this store through a good friend who loves their jeans. So I strolled in here one day and walked out with three pairs of my own. I really like the quality, they seem to wear very well for a pair under $100.
Don't really buy anything else here as most of the stuff is a cross between GAP and H&M. Kinda plain and a bit common.
Gap for skinny people – These 2 floor giant store which is actually quite cool and fun to shop in if its not the weekend. Tons of Europeans shopping for everything that slim and tight fitting. Prices are unbelievable, but you have to try a lot of things to find a good fit. Today i was there I got 4 hoodie zip up sweats as prices where 19.99-29.99 and they were pretty nice... can't say no to that. There are tons of styles for men and women, and I'd say if you are on Broadway shopping for cloths its a must stop. By comparison, Banana Republic and even American Eagle up the block are starting to look tired...
