I just bought a new charger and the experience I had a Rainbow Chrysler Dodge was the bext experience I have ver had. They did not pressure me and went out of there way to find the car that I wanted, they even sent a porter to Mississippi to pick up the car and have it cleaned and ready to pick up the next day. Rainbow Chrysler is the best deaership on the North Shore.
While i cant speak to Richard M's comments below (although I will say it seems a bit over the top and far-fetched... with all caps and the threat of class action being a special touch), I did purchase a new Dodge Ram 1500 in 2009 from Rainbow CDJ. As far as buying an automobile, it was an extremely positive experience. Lee and team went out of their way to find the model that fit my exact specifications. In fact, Rainbow transferred/swapped in trucks THREE times before I made my final decision. In terms of service, nothing but professionalism. My service requests have been handled promptly, in many cases while I waited. Specifically, a recent issue I had involved a leaking roof. I was worried about leaving the truck overnight, as I had to catch a flight out of town the next day. Not only did Lee provide a loaner truck so that there was no inconvenience, but ended up diagnosing the recall and completing the repair later that day. Given the above, I would absolutely buy my next car/truck from Rainbow and have recommended their dealership on several occasions.
I have bought several cars from Rainbow CDJ and so has my husband. We have always been 100% satisfied with our buying experience.This satisfaction continues with their customer service and maintainence department. I drive from the Southshore to get my oil changed because I am so pleased with them. I normally don't write reviews but I read the bad review posted previously and felt it very unfair to this dealership.I highly recommend it.
Has to be the BEST dealership I've ever dealt with. I have bought several cars from this dealership and intend to buy any subsequent vehicles from this dealership. The service department here is the only one I use for all of my general maintenance, like oil changes and tune ups. This is definitely somewhere I would recommend to my family and friends.
I PURCHASED A 2012 DODGE RAM 1500 TRUCK FROM RAINBOW. IT HAS BEEN MY WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I WAS PROMISED A FACTORY CRUISE FROM CHRYSLER AND RAINBOW. CHRYSLER, AFTER THE SALE LEFT RAINBOW WITH WHAT THEY PROMISED AND RAINBOW TO HONOR THE "WE OWE" SLIP, RAINBOW GOT ANOTHER STEERING WHEEL AND INSTALLED IT ON MY TRUCK, WELL THE CRUISE WORKED BUT AT DIFFERENT TIMES THE HORN WOULD GO OFF, WOULD NOT GO OFF OR BLOW THE FUSES FOR THE HORN. I TOOK VIDEO WITH MY PHONE BUT RAINBOWS CRAPPY SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. UNDERSTAND THAT AFTER 12 TIMES TAKING THE TRUCK BACK BECAUSE OF A DEALER CAUSED PROBLEM CHRYSLER WAS NOT PAYING FOR FOR THE REPAIRS ANY LONGER SO LEE EIKLE THE SO CALLED OWNER SAID "HE HAS SPENT ENOUGH MONEY ON MY TRUCK AND NOT TO BRING IT BACK NOT EVEN FOR A OIL CHANGE". HE SAID THIS AFTER I SUGGESTED HE PUT THE ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL BACK ON. YOU SEE HE DID NOT WANT TO FIND THE PROBLEM NOW BECAUSE IF IT WAS THE STEERING WHEEL, WHERE THE CRUISE IS LOCATED, AND IT DID NOT HAVE THE CRUISE ON IT THEN HE WOULD HAVE TO BUY THE TRUCK BACK.I ALSO HAVE A LETTER FROM THE BBB OR NEW ORLEANS STATING THEY WERE CLOSING OUT MY COMPLAINT AND THE THE DEALER HAS NOT TRIED IN GOOD FAITH TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. BY THE WAY THE SALES PERSON WAS MARION GORDON, DONT TRUST HIM EITHER, I DID, I THOUGHT I KNEW HIM AS A FRIEND BUT NOT ANY MORE.
I ALSO TRIED TO CALL LLOYD GUILLOT JR. WHOS FATHER SENIOR STARTED THE RAINBOW DEALERSHIPS, HE NEVER DID RETURN MY CALLS SO HE DOESNT CARE EITHER.
SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED AND I HAVE PAPERWORK TO PROVE THE INFORMATION I AM TELLING YOU.
STAY AWAY FROM RAINBOW CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP, AND RAINBOW DEALERSHIPS, YOU WILL DO BETTER AND PROBABLY GET A BETTER DEAL, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SERVICE IN SLIDELL, HAMMOND OR ON THE SOUTH SHORE. I KNOW OF SERVERAL PEOPLE THAT I HAVE TALKED TO WITH WHAT HAPPEND TO ME THAT HAVE WENT ELSEWHERE AND ARE GLAD THEY DID.

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER DEAL WITH...BE WARNED – In all my years of doing business with various auto dealerships this by far the WORSE service I have ever received!
We purchased a used vehicle for my son who is in college from them some months back...no problems.
I brought my own car to them due to transmission problems and actually had no problems with the car.
Approximately 3 -4 weeks after the transmission issue, I brought my vehicle in for repair because the car was overheating. Upon picking it up my car with my husband, who was in a different vehicle, my husband motioned for me to roll down my window. He told me to take at look at the rear side of the car. The car had been smashed in on the driver's side rear panel. We immediately asked the service manager to step outside and see the car. He indicated that his auto body man was not there that day (Saturday) and he asked us to return the following Monday, which we did.
The long and short of this is they refused to repair the damage that occured while the vehicle was in their care. They stated the following reasons:
1. They aren't set up to separte vehicles from the public and therefore can't protect vehicles in their care or in their parking lot. They also stated it is no different than if I had parked my vehicle in a Wal-Mart parking lot, although they parked my vehicle in their parking lot.
2. They have a sign hanging up stating that they aren't responsible for damage to cars left in their care.
3. My car is an older model (2003)...had it been like new they would have considered repairing the damage.
4. They were nice to my husband when he was fussing with them about the damage.
5. That's why I have insurance. (Why should I pay the deductible?) That's what they have insurance for.
I called the dealership back today and asked for the General Manager and the Sales Manager who identified himself as the Genreal Manager then actually tried to sell me a car for at least 10 mins!
I will NEVER DO BUSINESS with this company again and I do not recommend anyone doing business with them. After all, according to them, they are not responsible for vehicles left in their care.
Horrible Service – Do not bring your vehicle into Rainbow Chrysler. They are horrible. Did more damage to my vehicle than it went in with.
