I have been a Patient at Wake Ortho of Cary NC for several years. The Doctors, Casey Jenkins and Okechukwu Nwoko have given me the BEST service and the STAFF is very friendly and efficent. I have had in office visit injections and have had surgery with no problems, no delays. Any visit, the wait time is 5-10 minutes. I recommend Wake Ortho of Cary, NC, the Doctors and the Staff 110%. If you use there services you will be completely satisfied too.

Don't be in any sort of hurry. I was told I had a new patient appointment at 2pm and to be there 30 minutes early for paperwork. I got there right at 1:30pm, filled out my paperwork in 5 minutes and handed it back in. A new patient who came in after me and was done with paperwork 10 minutes after me (and had problems with their paperwork/got to hear them yelling all about it to someone on their cell in the waiting room) was immediately called back as well as 4 other people arriving after me (I was called back at 2:15pm). Xrays on site are immediately available, yet I still waited over an hour back in the room for someone to come see me and after about 10 minutes of time with the PA, I was out of there at 3:30pm. All the while, I could hear entire privileged conversations going on around me through the thin walls.

Credentials only go so far.... – Went for a follow up appointment. The staff couldn't find a copy of my MRI. Blamed me because I didn't remember which place i had THAT particular scan done. I've had quite a few lately. Dr. blamed me for taking CD of scan with me and didn't listen when i said scan had been accessed directly by them over computer network on first visit. Also told me he has so many patients he can't keep up with each one or making sure their records are complete. Records had no printed copy of scan and no notes on where they accessed scan on original visit. No one said they were sorry for inconvenience or for not having my records straight, or for wasting my time. Told me if i could find a copy of my scan to let them know and we could make another appointment. I'm now looking elsewhere for a Dr. who gives a da*n about his customers.

horrible staff......use extreme caution – The staff does NOT care about the patient. The reviews show it. They give inaccurate information, do not care to truly assist. They simply are unconcerned with you as a patient. if you have a problem and you confront them about the error, the response is simply "oh well oopps". You WILL suffer. The staff will destroy the office. The Dr. Was fine.

Office staff will lose them business! – Dr. Chappel was a fine doctor. I really only spoke with him for about 5 minutes total all 3 times I was there, but...

The office staff is rude and completely uninterested in patient care. I severely broke my hand, arm, and wrist in a different state right before moving to Cary. During the transition of moving and changing jobs, our insurance also changed. To make a long story short, I had to leave my stinky cast on for an additional MONTH until they were sure my insurance would cover the cost of removing it and the additional x-rays necessary. I was also given the option of paying $1400 to get the cast removed and another set of x-rays done. (They would reimburse me the money once the insurance company paid them. Right....) The crazy thing is that I had a letter from the insurance company that this was a LIABILITY claim and that all expenses related to the injury would be covered.

The worst part is that because my arm was in a cast so long, it is 7 months later and there's still hardly any strength in my arm/wrist. I have now switched to being left-handed!

The bottom line is that there are lots of other providers in this area. Go somewhere else!

EXCELLENT Care! – I have been going to Wake Orthpaedics for over 3 years, and hve found all of the employees and Dr.'s to be effective, accomadating, and VERY pleasant. Dr. Chappel is an excellent surgeon; he and his associates provide wonderful and excellent care!

Super caring professionals! Very happy with the care. – Super caring professionals! I had major shoulder surgery with Dr Chappell as the surgeon. The whole team is very knowledgeable, efficient and supportive. Jeff, the physical therapist is great. I am three months post surgery and I am progressing well ahead of schedule. I couldn’t be happier with the care and how well I have done. I highly recommend Dr Chappell and the staff at Wake Orthopedics

Not Good – Very poor customer service. Complete lack of concern for patient welfare. It seems that whenever you call or drop by you are interrupting their far more important conversations about nail polish and their dating woes.

The so-called "Medical Assistant" was completely rude and disinterested in learning and understanding why she was asked to contact me.

DON'T GO THERE!!!

Disappointed – I went to Wake Orthopedics for a shoulder injury several months ago. Doctor was great, gave me a shot of cortisone and told me to follow up w/ an on-site physical therapy appointment if it started to act up again.

Called today to schedule a PT appointment and not only were they rude, they said I would have to see the Doctor AGAIN before I could make a PT appointment. I don't have the time to see this Doctor again just so he can tell me I need PT. :)

I called Raleigh Othopedics, they were very polite and I scheduled a PT appointment no problem. Won't be going back to Wake Orthopedic again.
