Grand Asia Not Too "Grand" – Went for Dinner Buffet and ordered Crab Legs. They where sitting in the water and very soggy. Asked for fresh which they brought out after 15 Minutes.....and still overcooked and soggy. Sushi is stale. Traditional dishes were of low quality. Deserts were pre-packaged abd very cheap. Ice cream was low qaulity Ice Milk. About 30% overpriced for quality of experience and food.
Grand Asia Buffet was closed today due to Health Violations – Grand Asia Buffet was just closed down today due to health code and health inspection violations. Do NOT go there if it does re-open - it's not worth getting sick. This place has a history of poor health code scores if you look at the news. WRAL did a piece on them in 2007 and 2008 for being repeat offenders.
BEST SUSHI FOR LESS – Grand asia buffet is best place to eat the health food sushi. We like to go there eat, because there has friendly service and also good food. All way fresh and clean. Mon-thur the was not that crowd. Friday-Sunday is big crowd to many people, not enoght sit . We have to waiting about half hour to be seated in weekends. BE SMART CALL AHEAD MAKE THE RESERVATION!
Super Delicious! – I dunno what some people are talking about, it not being good! Maybe it was just an off day. Every time I go to Grand Asia Buffet I always leave satisfied. Sushi is delicious, and the coconut shrimp DELICIOUS! I recommend this place to everyone! I don't usually like Buffet's too. Service is also really good too!
Overpriced and bad – My husband and I went there last nite to have dinner, it was around 8:00 PM. Most of the food on the Buffet did not look very appealing. It looked as though it had been there for quite some time. The food was very soggy and cold. The crab ragoon was soggy and tasted as though it was warmed in a microwave several times as did many of the foods. Most items were cold, not even warm. Most everything we chose, was not very tasty. Most of it tasted as though it had been made days ago, refrigerated and reheated.
Even the deserts were stale. I would not be going back there.
This is my all time favorite place to eat! – My wife and I have been eating here for at least (3) years, during both management teams. The food is excellent, and the sushi included on the buffet is by far the best of any buffet in the area. Trust me on this, we have tried them all. You can find my wife there every Wednesday night, and the occasional Sunday, we just love it. I agree with Tom, rival restaurants in the area must be writing the negative comments, to me Grand Asia is top notch. A note to the rival restuarants in the Raleigh area, keep trying you may get there someday. Keep it up Grand Asia, your restaurant rocks.

I'm sorry but my experience was 2-star – 2 stars because I agree that the waitresses did not have much of a service. And most particularly I find their special discount thing hilarious when they said we could only get one stamp on ONE CARD per person EVEN when we dined in a large group. And the other time the waitress said only ONE stamp per CHECK....(now i have like a stack of 10 cards each with one stamp that friends gave me because they said they'd never use it) well i never really cared about discounts much, but i truly don't see this as a good tool of marketing, plus they don't seem to appreciate suggestions. Frankly speaking I don't enjoy their food nor their customer service. Maybe they had some good sushi, but I can have them somewhere else. Oh and the tuna in the tuna rolls was REALLY pink, i wondered if there was artificial colors... the dynamite roll with sauce on top was kinda good though, but oh well. 2 stars.
Very Good sushi selection – I would have given this place a four star, but their servers need some courses in customer service...until then, no one should give them more than a 3. The chinese items are basic, had a few dim sum stuff which was pretty good, and of course the sushi selection is really good. Servers were really bad, and we had to ask for the basics even though this was a buffet and all they had to do was make sure our glasses were refilled and when we wanted the check.
