Hope you can pass their insurance test!. When I called to make a first-time appointment, their first question was "Insurance, please?". I told them the name of my family's individual policy and they put me on hold for about a minute. The receptionist came back on and said "We're not familiar with that policy." I explained that it was an indemnity policy that covers any doctor at 80% and she put me back on hold for another 30 seconds. She came back on and hurriedly told me "We don't accept that. I recommend that you call other doctor's offices to see who accepts it." Needless to say, I felt completely snubbed. As the wife of a doctor, I realize that insurance is important to ask about up front, but to just reject me because I'm not Blue Cross or something like that was insulting. My husband accepts all kinds of insurance, even cash payers. I guess that's what happens when I try to go to Austin for health care. Too bad.

Most comfortable experience. I found Dr. Mumfrey when he came to visit me at St. Davids emergency room in 2006. I was alone and scared, but when Dr. Mumfrey walked in, I felt instantly calm and comforted as if an old friend had come for a visit. I was able to see him a couple of times at his practice until I lost medical insurance due to a career change. Two years later when I was looking for a doctor, I remembered Dr. Mumfrey, only I couldn't remember his name. I called my pharmacy and had them look up my prescription history until they found the doctor I was looking for! For some reason, I decided to schedule an appointment with his wife Dr. Grimes, and she is just as lovely and caring as Dr. Mumfrey. My exam today was extremely comfortable and pain free! I don't know if I can choose between the two of them, and I hope they will allow me to continue seeing them both. I have already recommended them both to friends.

Great choice for a doctor!. I found Women's Health Team on citysearch after numerous frustrations with another doctor in the area. Changing to Dr. Mumfrey was the best choice my husband and I could have made! We're so happy with him. He is easy to talk to, listens intently, and really seems to care. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is perfect! I highly reccommend Dr. Mumfrey and his wife, Dr. Grimes.

AWESOME DOCS. DR MUMFREY AND DR. GRIMES ARE TRUELY THE BEST DOCTORS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS! THEY MADE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE WHEN ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT MY PREGNANCY AND I NEVER FELT LIKE JUST ANOTHER PATIENT. DR. MUMFREY TOOK NO CHANCES W/MY PREGNANCY AND I CAN'T THANK HIM ENOUGH FOR SAFELY BRINGING MY SON INTO THIS WORLD. THE WHOLE STAFF IS JUST AWESOME AND I HOPE THEY ALL STAY PUT BECAUSE I WOULDN'T TRUST ANY OTHER DR. OR STAFF TO HELP CARE FOR ME AND MY FUTURE BABIES TO COME! IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A DR. YOU CAN TRUST FOR YOURSELF AND FOR YOUR BABY DR.MUMFREY AND DR.GRIMES ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!!

The BEST OBGYN I have found...IN MY LIFE. Right from the start, he listened and paid attention to me. He has a great since of humor and is always kind. Compassion, Good listener, and treats women with respect, are the just a few of the GREAT qualities that this doctor has. He is my doctor for life......or when hell freezes over. Trust me, he is that good. His wife and him make a great team. If for any reason, you do not like your OB, SWITCH NOW! You will glad that you did.

Finally, a dr you can talk to!. His office is easy to find, accessible entry-level parking lot, friendly and very comfortable. I got an appointment to see him within a day or so and I didn't have to wait long in his office AT ALL and he listened to ME and what I had to say about my problems. I really felt like I was talking to a friend, that he really cared about what was going on with me. I have been telling everybody I know about him when they say they need an OB/GYN. There are alot of choices in Austin when looking for a dr. but I am so glad I decided to become his patient.

Best ob/gyn. Dr. Mumfrey is truely a wonderful doctor. He cares about all his patients. He always greets you with a smile. The office is nice and clean. You can always find parking. His staff is caring and helpful. I recommend Dr.Mumfrey to my family and friends.

BEST OBGYN!. Best Doctor!

Takes the time to introduce his self to each new patient, and continues a friendly relationship with each patient.

Doctor as well as a friend you can trust with anything.

Only doctor I know that remembers your face and even your name at each visit!

I would recommend him (and have been recommending) to all my friends and family.

Incredible Doctor. An incredibly compassionate physician. Can't say enough positives. He takes the time to truly listen to his patients.
