Great food! – this is really a big step up for casual burbank dining. the food is very good, from burgers to salads. and they are packed to prove it! service is friendly and accomodating. good for families, friends, etc. outdoor tables available. only downside is the parking in the burbank village.
Awesome food!!! – Great food, great service, great ambience, parking may be a hassel, as it always is in downtown Burbank....sweet potato fries are a MUST!!
Do Not Enter - Bad Service, Bad Food – I have gone to Granville a couple of times because of a friend that worked in the area and without fail every time something went wrong- the service or the food. The first time we went the food took 45 minutes to be served and the waiter was extremely slow & lazy and the host was unwelcoming. Some of the staff had that hang over look where they just rolled out of bed after having a long night. I love how this restaurant prides itself on quick lunch service when it takes them a good 45 mins to get you anything - ridiculous!
The next time we went for breakfast one of our orders was never placed with the kitchen, therefore when everyone's food arrived one of our guests at the table was without food. The waiter was not apologetic and refused to comp the meal that was finally delivered to the table 30 minutes later after everyone else was already finished. That same breakfast, someone had ordered pancakes which were uncooked! How can you under cook pancakes?!!! Don't you learn how to cook pancakes correctly in your first cooking class? I will never go back to Granville again. I am surprised that they were able to buy their way into the Americana in Glendale.
Bad Service – Went for breakfast. Now, if you are on a healthy diet, just dont go here because not only you cant find anything on the menu thats healthy, but they will not make ANY effort to accomodate. Specifically, since i saw that their egg dishes were super unhealthy, full of oil and sugar, i ask them politely, if i can just have 2 hard-boiled eggs. They refused to boil eggs for me since "it was too hard to do that." I tried to go with the flow and try to see the salad menu. The salads were even worse. Then i asked for just some fresh fruit since that was on the menu and labeled described as "A freshly picked blend of Strawberries, Blueberries and Blackberries." I asked if the fruits are what the description says, just fruits. The waitress said that the fruits are actually in syrup, which was not in the description. Also to note, the waitresses were very slow and unwelcoming. We asked for our check for the water that was brought to us, paid and left.
Great happy hour Great food – I just discovered Granville about 6 months ago for Happy Hour and I've been back atleast 8 or 9 times for HH or dinner. The happy hour food and drinks taste very good for the money. The staff is trememdoulsly friendly and accomodating. They've gone out of ther way several times to put a game on that I've requested. They remember you even when you're not looking to be remembered and will stop you to say hi.
I didn't even like pork chops before I came here. I've had issues with them becuase of texture and they are typically dry. I went with a friend and tried it and now I'm hooked. Theirs is one of the most tender and tasteful pork chops I've ever had.
Cool place, be careful, sweet potato fries are addicting. – This is a cool place with a nice atmosphere and good food. The sweet potato fries are AMAZING. My Fiance and I love this place and are very happy that a new one is opening in Glendale at the Americana in May.
Great place to eat in Burbank, soon to be Glendale.
Love the happy hour and the ambiance. My husband and I "escape" here whenever possible for a glass of good wine. – The patio here is so inviting (I feel like I'm on vacation when I sit out there) and the food and atmosphere are very nice. The main ding room can become noisy. Love the salads and the roast beef sandwich is great. Avoid the sweet potato fries as they can be greasy.
One of the better restaurants (non-chain) in downtown Burbank.
Careless kitchen – Raw bacon in my club sandwich and hair in my lunch guest's macaroni. I will not be going back after having been a customer for about a year now.
o.k food, nothing to shout about, fresh, good ingredients, healthy – I've only been to this place once, their food is plain/simple, nothing that will please the tastebuds. IF you want really plain food, that is fresh and healthy...the go here.
SPF's rock! – Granville is AWESOME. I have come here about 6 or 7 times, and it is pretty much my first choice at any time of day. Meals are great, prices are affordable, and the staff is especially friendly. I have honestly never had a bad bite here. The weekday happy hour is really great - cheap food, and good drinks. I don't think the drinks are on special, but when you're eating a $3 gourmet burger, it evens out. The patio area is really nice. Even though I have only been here with friends, I can see this place being a good romantic date as well. I will continue to go to Granville.
Great Bacon Blue burger... – Myself and a co-worker stopped by Granville for lunch. He had been there many times and told me it was a must for me to try. He was right.
They have quick-service lunch, which I wasn't sure about how I'd like that. I don't like to stand in lines for movies, concert tickets so why lunch? Now I know why they use this process for ordering. It is so much quicker than the usual dining experience. By the time it was our turn to order and when we got the food, it was at least 10 minutes quicker than the normal restaurant process of getting seated, waiting for a waiter and getting your food. Kudos for this innovative idea in a nice restaurant.
I ordered the Bacon Blue burger per my co-worker's suggestion. He was right about how good it was. The burger was a high quality of meat, the blue cheese was amazing, and it also had tasty grilled onions, mushrooms and crisp freshly cooked bacon. The sauce was some kind of port reduction (that's what the menu said and I have no diea what it is, but what I do know is that it was amazing.) I got the house chips with it which were also really good. (No pringle likeness at all.)
My co-worker got the chicken marsala which he has raved about at work. The portion was huge! two chicken breasts on top of pasta and lots of sauce. He didn't let me try any of it, but I could tell he enjoyed it because he focused on it and didn't say a word until he was done.
For drinks I got this water with cucumbers and lemons in it which was very refreshing. Had a clean crisp taste. He had an Arnold Palmer which was made with somekind of berry lemonade and he seemed to enjoy it.
I really enjoyed this place and definately will be back. Thanks to you, Granville for bringing in a place that isn't a big corporate chain like many other places in Burbank.
