Best ever. I have had the opportunity to be trained by Ray at Reps gym this past summer. He is the best trainer I have ever had, and I have had several in other gyms. Ray was always on time and we always had a great friendship. I lost my fat weight and gained some muscle in the short time we were able to train. I wish that Reps had continued, and not closed due to the economy. Ray was the best of the best

Worst gym ever. Ray is an awful trainer. He sets up appointments to talk to potential clients during training sessions, talks on the phone, talks to his daughter, etc, when you're paying by the hour. He doesn't watch your form and so I left one session in awful pain. He says that with training you get free use of the gym, too bad it's never open. When I signed my contract he said he had regular hours. When I showed up during said hours it was closed. He later said he really uses an appointment system, so I'd have to tell him when I was going to be there. Crappy, but ok, I did. The gym was still closed when I showed up at the specified time. When I asked for a refund he threatened to take me to court if I told anyone about my experience. I'm still working on getting a refund. Don't waste your money, go someplace else.

Wonderful facilities and training. I love this place. The gym itself is clean, modern and has all the latest equipment. What I find the most appealing is that it is a nice intimate space without any weird gym scene. Ray is a great trainer. He's personable, very knowledgeable as he's been in the industry for years, and keeps me on course. Its great to find a place that offers pretty much what the larger clubs offer in a real human environment.

Best gym ever!. Reps works! I've been going to Reps since August. Amazing that just 3 hours a week has produced such real results. The best part about going to this gym is having Ray (gym owner) as my personal trainer. He's so positive and encouraging and he has a great sense of humor. He stands beside you with each lunge and crunch. Have you ever tried lunging or crunching while laughing?

Great Place and an Effective Work Out. Fairly new to the area, Reps Fitness is poised to be one of the best places in Portland to get a work out. Located in ultra cool NW Portland at 21st and Everett, the space combines the warmth of Spanish Mission with the seriousness of Light Industrial. The owner and head trainer, Ray, serves up workouts specifically designed to meet your goals. He even throws in diets, meal plans and recipes. Most importantly, Ray works you with a sense of compassion and purpose.

If you are shopping for a gym experience in Portland without having to join some sort of mega-facility, check out Reps Fitness. I'm glad I did.
