Best food in town – Food is amazing. Every time I come here, I feel like I never want to leave. Very chic atmosphere with a relaxing mood.

The service is great and the staff really does a terrific job at taking care of you.

The appetizers are delicious.

Theres plenty of places to park: theres a parking lot across the street and a parkin garage up the street within walking distance.

Most of the time I find myself looking at my watch waiting for the food to come, but here I was so entertained with the fun atmosphere that I was pleasantly surprised when my food arrived

This place needs help. My party struggled to get the attention of our mexican sushi chefs who really didn't care about us. They were too busy talking to eachother and ignoring us. Why should we pay any money to be treated like that? This place needs management who cares.

Fresh sushi, nice view – The place is equipped with a balcony--overlooking the Farmers Market and the Grove--a conveyor belt, a bar and casual tables inside. We were sitting inside, right next to the large glass wall at a high table on comfy stools. The sushi came beautifully arranged to our table and it was very fresh. The service brought us extra ginger (after our request) and refilled our glasses every now and then. The strawberry ice cream we ordered for dessert was creamy and tender served with crispy chocolate sticks alongside. The sushi place has a happy hour from 6pm to 7pm and the service was very attentive and friendly.

Great sushi! – Well I was visiting Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago from Boston MA .. my father and I were at the grove and decided to try the all-you-can-eat sushi .. It was very good! I live right near one of the best sushi resturants Oishii sushi .. the chef was trained in Japan.. even though It wasn't as good as oishii (but it's quite hard to beat oishii) It was very good for an all-you-can-eat sushi bar. They have a very nice and clean place. They do not have a time limit so you can take your time.. they do not have many rules.. except anything you take you must finish or pay the full price.. (which isn't hard.. since the portions are small enough). I felt that this was a great place sushi.. I really do feel that most of the resturant in Los Angeles only focus on decor and mostly serve fusion.. I truly believe that a place should focus on one certain cuisine and do it right. We had visited a suggested "great" Thai food.. needless to say Thai doesn't usually have egg rolls and crab rangoon. Los Angeles people are too picky and snobby and are used to the hype.. instead of enjoying the actual food.. compared to "the Geisha house" this place is very good!

Stay Clear – I will be brief.

Stale sushi, bad service, and a rude waitress.

With so many great sushi options in this city, don't bother with this place.

Strange little rotating belt – Kado serves up standard sushi fare in a weird way. It's interesting in it's uniqueness (at least nowadays) but I'd rather have food I know wasn't going around in circles for several minutes. I'm a spicy tuna roll fan, so I don't stretch the talents of chefs, and I'll say the were good. The staff was slow to come by for refills on drink. I'll skip this place if given the option again in the future.

Terrible sushi!!! Terrible service!!! – I've got to nay-say the Kado. I've never written a review and it's sad that the first one I do write has to be because of a negative experience. And with not much further ado... I give you..... my review:

I visited Kado restaurant with my "sushi enabler" girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon, not terribly busy, only a few people at the belt. We had never been here before and really didn't know what was going on exactly and were completely ignored by the wait staff, a couple came in after us and sat next to us and were subsequently greeted before us, drink orders taken before us, and just generally seen to prior to us, whatever, oversights happen from time to time, they're human, but, they just didn't stop there. Had to flag down wait staff if we wanted anything or attempt to make "c'mere" eye contact, we were rarely approached without having to do so. As far as the sushi is concerned, I don't know if they use different cuts of fish during the all-you-can-eat time frame or if they always serve substandard fish, but, this was the absolute worst sushi I have ever had, hands down, so much so, I may even have to recommend Todai over this place (and I would N-E-V-E-R recommend Todai to A-N-Y-O-N-E). Fish was rubbery, too cold and I don't know about you, but, I tend to not enjoy sushi meals when I have to "just get it down so we can order more." Try Midori sushi in the valley for their all-you-can-eat, it's much, much better and there is a significantly larger selection of available items for only a few dollars more. Sorry Kado, I was interested in checking out the teppan grill at some point until I experienced your crappy service and sushi.

Oh, there was one good thing I can say about it, the ambience was nice, the building was clean looking, modern, and generally fun to be in, however, only go to check it out if you just plan on sitting at a table and not ordering food, unless it's the edamame, pretty tough to F*$% up edamame I guess.

An Average Sushi Place – If you are craving for sushi, Kado is not to place to be, but if you are looking a place that has a nice ambiance Kado is the place. I was there last week, I ordered Japanese Sea Scalops with Risotto. Scallops are not cook properly, they were either undercook or overcook. I like the padio, it is cozy and welcoming. I made a mistake and sat inside. It was cold and nearly empty. Sushi is over priced and getting worse and worse. Seems like they cannot find a good chef. Number of rolls in each plate is inconsistent for the same item. If you are sitting at the bar and waiting to move to the Teppan, prepare to pay your bar tab, I do not know why but they do not allow you to transfer it. Service is so so, nothing exceptional. After this review I tried Kado again! This is it no more, I have given several changes but it did not improve itself. :(

Not only food is tasteless, they treat their employees badly. Good bye!!!!

Best sushi and service! – I was very impressed with this place. The roof-top setting was gorgeous--a great view of the Los Angeles sky! The waitors were all genuinely nice and honest with their recommendations. I ordered the simple vegetable roll sushi--OUT OF SIGHT! Amazing! They put some special tofu into it that's cooked in a sauce (I forgot what it was called) and it was by far the best sushi I've ever had for it's modest price! The vegetables and rice were fresh. I also had edamame--not too salty, not too bland, just right. The place is great as a whole--it has better sushi than a lot of other restaurants with a higher reputation (for example, the Geisha House! Awful sushi!)
