Tasty. Stop by this bustling little bakery for some fresh baked treats. They also serve up some tasty sandwiches - like the Croque Monsieur - over lunch.

The twice baked almond croissant (Our classic croissant soaked in simple syrup and filled with delicious almond cream. It is topped with sliced almonds and additional almond cream) is heavenly. Worth driving over the West Seattle bridge at rush-hour for. Yes, I am indeed serious.

I am on a perpetual search for the best almond croissant around and Bakery Nouveau doesn't disappoint! Why? Let me just tell you:

1. The crisp crunch of the outer layer, which contrasts amazingly with

2. The dense creaminess of the inside of the croissant

3. The lovely buttery and flaky layers of pure croissant goodness that somehow are not overpowered by the almond accents, but simply enhanced to their fullest

4. The amazing subtle burnt-sugar crisp caramelization on the bottom of the pastry

And the list of reasons goes on and on and on. Amazing stuff, y'all. If you have a hankering, get over there now! And believe me, it's worth the wait in any line that's formed out the door.

Amazing Bread – I was surprised to here about this amazing bakery just down the street from my neighborhood! But after being surprised I had to see for myself what all the talk was about, and sure enough it was worth all the talk. The bread is truly amazing. Full of flavor and great texture all the quality's of a true "French Bread" The pizza is good too, the only thing I was not too impressed with was their pastries. Too rich in my mind, but that's just me, many people are obviously enjoying them!

Amazing cakes! – We chose Bakery Nouveau for our wedding cakes...mainly due to our love of France and all things French (and because we already love the pastries and bread here!) William was amazing! He took the time to meet with us and understand exactly what we were looking for. He helped us come up with two amazing cakes that our wedding guests absolutely loved! We even had some left over...that our relatives gobbled up the next day at brunch. We couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience. We'll be loyal customers for life!

Pastries taste just as they do in Paris! Crunchy and yummy bread! – As a very demanding Parisian relocated here, I get picky when it comes to bread and pastries. Bakery Nouveau has among the best I've come accross in the US. I am not giving 5 stars because the selection is a little too limited, especially compared to le Panier...

Bread is firm and crunchy and remains that way after 24h, amazing!

Pastries are too small, but not greasy buttery and adequately crunchy.

Prices are not cheap, but remain reasonable..

A sure shot!

Oh, Yum! – If it weren't for all the calories, I would eat something from this place every day. I love their twice-baked almond croissants. They are crispy on the outside with mounds of almond paste on this inside and sooo flaky. I also LOVE their raisin Brioche. It's coated in honey. Ah! I can taste it now! Their bread is great for taking home, too. I've also had a croissant sandwich there that was piled high with peppered turkey, amazing dijon-honey mustard and cheese. I've also had a chocolate mousse with raspberry glaze and a dark/milk chocolate cake of some sort (their chocolate is some of the best I've very eaten), as well as a piece of Boston Cream Pie. Everything in the case is in single-servings, but last time I was in someone picked up a sheet cake they had ordered in advance. Good to know you can order cakes for birthdays and such. Oh, and they take credit cards now...(-:

French cafe culture comes to West Seattle at this Parisian-style bakery, offering flaky croissants, artisan breads and innovative house-made truffles. – In Short
Chocolate-colored walls, creamy marble countertops and a display case filled with artisan bread, buttery pastry, delicate Parisian macaroons and baguette sandwiches draw a line out the door of this local patisserie. Owner William Leaman, former head pastry chef of Essential Baking Co., always has something hot out of the oven to keep a loyal crowd following their noses. He also creates a speciality line of chocolates infused with exotic flavors like passion fruit and candied ginger.

EXCELLENT! – I just went to Bakery Nouveau today. I just had to let everyone know how wonderful it is! This small yet busy shop is such a delight.. Perfectly made chocolates. Each one with a distinct robust flavor and appropriate texture. I've had the pistachio shoe, lemon, and passion fruit all delicious. No weird mouth feel that you get with some chocolates. Breads look fabulous, haven?t tried them though. I splurged and went for the passion fruit chocolate tart... let me tell you, it was perfectly made, a flaky and tender pastry dough held a rich ganache and a light fluffy dome of passion fruit mousse. It was to die for. I really recommend stopping by to treat your self. They serve mochas with real chocolate, and have an array of pastries. The chocolate banana cake was just delicious.

You can really tell how much work and love goes into these delectables. Great job!

They also do wedding cakes!

OH! and check out the Coupe du Monde sitting atop the counter!!! its huge!!!

Incredible Pastries, Paris meets Seattle! – I finally made it to Bakery Nouveay and thank goodness I didn't wait too long.

The baguettes were hot out of the oven and exactly like those you'd find in Paris. The Olive Bread is twisted like a pretzel and was devoured within 2 hours of being in my kitchen.

I splurged on a pastry extravaganza with a foodie friend and the experienced was delightful. Everything we tasted from the cinnamon bun-like pecan brioche to the pear tart, the raspberry twist , and the raisin brioche was buttery and never overly sweet. The sweet yet salty tastes of every pastry was exactly the combination you find in Paris at any of the best pastry shops.

Hurray, Seattle has another amazing French bakery alongside Cafe Besalu.

Next time, the Ham and Cheese sandwiches, a macaroon, and the Carrot Cake will be on my plate.

The baguettes are second only to Paris...so good that they sell too fast and you have to wait for a fresh batch. – Finally! A decent croissant in Seattle. Scratch that...the BEST croissant in Seattle; crispy and flaky on the outside, yet the inside is soft and buttery. Just the way it should be. The pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) are perfect, not too sweet, and wonderfully flaky as well.

Since they are always selling out of baguettes it's wise to call ahead if you're in a hurry. The wait time for a freshly baked loaf can be up to 30 minutes. The good thing is that they are always right out of the oven warm. The challenge is to get home without tearing off a piece.

and then there are the pastries...I'll let someone else rave about them!
