SAVE YOUR CASH – I have never felt like I needed to use city search to voice my opinion until I experienced this place. After 2 attempts to enjoy this place (since it is around the corner from my house)- I couldnt take it anymore.
Typical scene place that will have a new name in 6 months. I personally experienced the owner "Michael" run down his employees in front of me on both occasions. The guy is a complete creep. After I witnessed him insulting his bartender, I asked if this was a common occurance-the barkeep proceeded to tell me how he quite possibly is the biggest a*hole ever. It shows in the quality of service and food. Both of my dinners there were overpriced and tasteless not to mention it took forever to get it. I guess the worst part about this place was witnessing the OWNER chain smoke and drink on the patio while I waited on my order. I feel sorry for the employees and plead with you to not support this place so we can get a real lounge in the neighborhood!
unexpectedly good – I came here with a friend expecting something snobby and hip - and walked out full and happy. loved my french-style burger with blue cheese, the crunchy fries, and the pretty atmosphere. didn't get to see the girls from the hills like i wished, but whatever. i drank something called the dirty boulevard that i loved - it had some nutmeg, i believe.
i like the relaxed nature of this place. worth it!
Boulevard Rocks! – This place is amazing. Service staff was friendly and helpful. Food was awesome. Drinks were tasty. I had a party of 5 there and we were so comfortable. We ate, drank, and chatted for hours. We were never rushed or forgotten about. The outside covered area dining room is so relaxed. I did not enjoy the smoking, but just request that the plastic windows be lifted to air it out. There is something for everyone on the menu. Try the HOT DOGS. Enjoy!
Inexperienced... – If you are a party of 5 or more, this place is not for you. As a matter of fact, if you are expecting to go to an actual lounge where the servers know what they're talking about, the bartendar knows how to mix drinks, and for food that is good, this place is DEFINITELY not for you.
My friends and I had a reservation for 10+ people at this teeny tiny little gathering hole in West Hollywood and STILL had to wait for about 20 minutes AFTER the actual reservation time in order to be seated (the manager even scolded us for waiting in a different part of the lounge while they got the tables ready). When we were finally crammed into our little corner, our clueless server TRIED to take our drink orders. The reason why I say "TRIED" is because we were told shortly after she took our orders that the bartender didn't know how to make a Tokyo Tea (Long Island, but with Midori instead of Triple Sec and 7up instead of Coke) and a Three Wisemen (Johnny Walker, Jim Beam, and Jack Daniels)! The food at the place is not worth what it costs. The buffalo wings on the menu came out DRENCHED in whatever sauce they used (we had to use napkins to dab the sauce off the wings), the overpriced hot dog was super salty (but one can expect that at a lounge), and the french fries were cold and soggy (our server blamed that on the fact that the party didn't start to eat them fast enough). In hindsight... this place might've been a better experience had the party been smaller, but why take reservations for a party that your "lounge" can't facilitate?
Chill with Drinks on The Boulevard – The West Hollywood bar scene seems to die if you travel east of Crescent Heights. So, Boulevard Lounge is a nice new attraction for us folks that don't want to hoof it all the way up to Sunset or west of La Cienega. The space is made all the more prime, in fact, by its sleek design. The open-air, wrap around porch is the posterchild for summertime happy hours and breezy evenings with friends. The skylights could use some cleaning, but tree trunks that have been allowed to grow up through the floor and on through the ceiling are whimsical and brilliant. If you go for drinks, which in my opinion is the big draw here, they have a great selection and daily specials. Meanwhile, their food menu is relaxed and reasonably priced, featuring twin burger stacks, grilled hot dogs and more upscale selections, like lemon salmon and steak. All that said, Boulevard Lounge is a place to chill with pals. If you're in a hurry or like your service on the attentive side--this ain't for you. The waiters and waitresses do look a little lost, the food takes an inordinate amount of time to prepare and no one seems to care in the slightest.
lazy – This place is run like you are in someones living room. If you don't mind eating with the servers then it is your place. If you go plan on staying for at least 2 hours only for the reason that your food takes that long to come out. Servers are not trained. Owner is a flake. seems like he had money to burn and wanted to hang out somewhere else beside his own living room.
Charming bungalow eatery and patio lounge offers a market-minded pub grub menu in the short-lived Mix space. – In Short
This baby-blue bungalow hosts a very laid-back eatery and lounge for weekday happy hours and casual dining. Ascending a few steps visitors are welcomed to an outdoor terrace with wood-plank floors, exposed tree trunks and open window sills with plastic-curtains. Inside, the glossy bar area is outfitted with plasma displays and an upbeat soundtrack of house music. The dinner menu is divided between categories of "nosh" and "hearty," varying between lime prawns and Caesar salads to gourmet sliders and fish and chips made with mahi mahi.
Great late night! – This place is an un-discovered gem. They are open late and the food is delicious! The waitresses are totally hot, too, and they have a full bar. Yippee! Two of my favorites: the salmon and the ribs. The salmon is perfectly cooked and so tasty and the ribs are smokey, southern style grub. Plus because most of the space is outside, you can smoke. This place is great!
