Don't go for a facial – I love spa week. It's one of the best parts of living in NYC. So, I was so disappointed when this service was just weird and painful. I wanted to like this place! It's clean, modern friendly and just looks lovely however it ends there. It was just a very strange, and painful facial. 1) I've never had a facial where I didn't disrobe and it was very awkward having my fleece sweater on while being steamed rather than wearing a nice robe. 2) The extractions were waaaay to aggressive! I literally have bruises and red spots all over my face. When I exited the woman dealing with the $ just looked at me with horror and then made a comment about how horrible I looked. 3) I know NY is small...but really? why was I sharing a room with another guest? there could have a least been a curtain.

A perfect day spa – I received a gift certificate to Delluva and what a treat. My first impression of the changing room was small, but it served its purpose. The massage therapist was phenomenal, professional and respectful. The relaxation room decor and atmosphere was refreshing. They serve you wine and fruit, which was delicious. Delluva is a definite spa for spa-goers who want to be treated right; they don?t rush and take their time so your needs are met.

Almost perfect. – Bliss Midtown is the place I go for deep tish massages in the city (My best 3 massages so far are.. Mii amo SPA in Sedona, Ritz Carlton Spa Half Moon Bay in SF and Bliss Midtown in NYC.) but it's a little far from my place so I tried one in Tribeca. I loved the location and inside atmosphere but the massage by M. was O.K. (Not great...) If I pay about same amount of money, I think I have to go back to Bliss....Or should I try another therapist? I don't know...

Other spa's....TAKE NOTES!!! – With the spa market over-saturated and every idiotic management team clammoring for something unique to offer to guests, they tend to forget about good old fashioned respect, experienced therapists and a knowledgable, warm, friendly staff. Delluva delivers on all fronts. The space is pretty, the people are cool & down to earth, the neighborhoods happening and most importantly, at least for me, when I went in there, I felt respect, not just for me beacuse "I'm the customer and the customers always right", but for everyone, the customers, the desk staff, management, therapists...everybody. I spa a lot..and this was a refreshing break from the usual stuck-up-ness, cluelessness and overall chaos and lack of order that so many NYC spas have today. Whoever manages this place deserves a bit of gratitude, I was really impressed and will definitely be back...and Im bringing friends, lots of them. My only issue was I requested a male therapist when I booked and got a female when I got there. Don't get me wrong...she was good, but wasnt what I asked for. However, thats an honest mistake that happens from time to time, so Im not going to hold it against you guys this time. I highly reccomend this place to everyone, men, women, couples, groups. They do it right at Delluva..and most importantly again...they respect you and themselves while they're doing it. Hats off to you guys, keep it up!!!

This place just keeps getting better! – I stopped in for a massage after a few months out of town and this place just keeps improving. Not only was my massage fanatastic, they added a hair salon as well. I needed a haircut and they took me right after my massage and it was perfect. I'm usually pretty finicky with my hair and they did everything possible to make sure that I left satisfied with the cut. I couldn't recommend this place any more! Great massage, free snacks (and Wine tasting too!!), and now, great hair cuts!

Not good for big parties – I recently went there with 14 girlfriends for a bridal party, I arrived a little late for a massage. They would not try to move the schedule around with one of the other girls who had a massage later than I did for me to have a treatment... so I asked if I could get another treatment, perhaps a manicure or pedicure they also could not accomodate me for that either.. at the end of the day after 13 out of 14 girls received treatments and paying over $2,000. they decided that they had to charge me $60 for a treatment I did not receive. When I called a week later to see if I there was anything they could do, the answer was NO!!!! This place obviously, needs to learn a little more customer service... I would never go back or recommend this place to any of my friends..... They decided that $60 is more important than to have any of us back for any future Spa days.

In reality, this client was 1.5 hours late for her service and we offered her two other service options, which she declined. She called back a week later and demanded the service she was not able to receive on the day of the party. Unfortunately, as per the contract the group signed, we are unable to offer compensation on lost treatments. We must pay our therapists whether they perform the services or not. We have received assurance from the Party Planner and other attendees that the party was amazing and well-serviced.

BEST. HIGHLIGHTS. EVER. – this place is freaking amazing. i saw sophie (sophia?) for highlights (50% off through lifebooker!!!!) and am more satisfied than i could ever imagine. i'll admit it: i orginally came here because of the good deal. but now i will absolutely be a loyal customer for as long as i live in nyc. sophie was really cool (read: trendy, but not so much so that she'll give you a crazy cut 'for fun'), listened to what i wanted, and did an amazing job. she's incredibly personable and enromously talented--i went in there with a clear idea of what i wanted (blonder, warmer highlights that complements my skin), and she gave me exactly that, adding in a few touches that made me look so much better than what i orginially requested. sometimes you can't really put what you want 'into words'............well, she must be a mind-reader and i am totally grateful. there was absolutely no sales pressure (which i hate) and the free blowout i got afterwards made me feel chic and fabulous:) i could go on and on.........but suffice to say that if you pick her for your hair you will not be disappointed!! i already can't wait to go back. thanks delluva!!!

Very Relaxing Experience – One of my favorite spas in the city. I've been here twice. I've had deep tissue and hot stone massages, as well as reflexology and a "barrel soak" body treatment. The atmosphere and decor are wonderful. The treatments weren't the best i have ever had, but they are still up there. They pay attention to detail, which is very nice. During my barrel soak they provided me with chilled sparkling water, grapes, and iced towels to cool myself off if I got too hot. The relaxation area is big and they provide free snacks and wine. They don't rush you out which to me is very important. In fact I ordered in lunch on my first visit and dinner on my second. The locker room is nice, but very small. Check out their website for good discounts.

My new fav! – This place is great for girls day out or couples spa getaway. The free wine makes all the difference. The louge is big enough, although it could be a big crowded we weekend (and esp when people linger). I have to agree that massage is better than facial services, but both are still better than some of the other ones I've been (Oasis, Haven, Metamophisis, Reddoor). The shower area is pretty big, although the changing area can be cramped if you've 3+ people in it. It's easy to make appointment. The only downside will be its downtown location, quite a way for me to come from uptown. Highly recommended.
