Reviews for Pauly's

I was on my lunchbreak hour and decided to try out this Pauly's place so, after waiting an entire 10 minutes for a parking space, I was able to park my truck and go inside. (Pauly's shares parking with numerous other businesses in the area.) After entering and placing my order, I sat down and waited an entire 25 minutes before my order was ready. I would have thought things could have been at a quicker pace with them knowing at lunchtime most of us only have one hour to spare and can hardly afford to use half of that time waiting for something as easy to make as a sandwich and fries.

Both the sandwich and the fries were cold and you could tell that the french fries are not made-to-order. They must make a lot before lunchtime and simply try to keep them warm until someone orders.

You young lady who took our order seemed more interested in talking to her fellow workers than listening to us because even after our wait, my daugher's sandwich wasn't made the way she ordered it.

When leaving, I left one dollar on the table that they didnt deserve and was treated to overhearing one of the workers say, "cheapskate!" obviously loud enough so that we might hear it as we exited the place. In cases such as that, I would normally say something but I was with my daughter and didnt wish to make a scene. I decided to never bring my business there again.

It is Pauly's loss too because we have close to 50 workers in my office who could have become regulars at this establishment but Ive made sure to inform all of my employees and coworkers of the less than perfect service and food we received from Paulys.

Thumbs down. Way down.

My favorite place to eat – Pauly's is truly my favorite place to eat, and not just because I can walk there. The food is always fresh and served with a smile. You can't get any fresher than grinding your own burger meat every day and roasting all the other meats on the premises (they never use lunch meat). It's good food for a good price (the portions are HUGE) served in a home style, friendly atmosphere. Go over and try it for'll see.

Good Prices, Fair Food – I like the price point of the menu items. The food is ok for the money. It is a great take-out restaurant if you live close by. The po-boys are good

Great Food and Friendly Service – My family and I had the pleasure of going to Pauly's while we were in the New Orleans/Metairie area.

First, I'll speak to their service; We arrived 10 minutes before closing, but they stayed open just for us. They're definitely a locally owned shop, but that adds to the charm. Our waitress was attentive and engaging. Great service.

Now, the food. First, I highly recommend the fried pickles. They're fantastic. Of course, they're a touch greasy, but this isn't health food we're talking about. Everyone enjoyed the entrees, from the shrimp po-boy, to the fried shrimp, spicy sausage po boy, and finally the "Cajun Cuban". I don't recall the specific name of the last sandwich, but "Cajun Cuban" is an appropriate description; It had several types of roasted meat, cheese, and just the right amount of "Cajun kick". Excellent!

My only gripe is that Pauly's is in Metairie, and I live several states away.

Good Customer Service – I went to this restaurant a few times and the food was good. I was disappointed with one meal, but I was very impressed by the manager's response. I have since returned and had many good meals. I would recommend it.

Editorial Review – Enjoy free Wi-Fi on the patio while munching on stuffed crab, roast beef, steak and onion rings.
