TERRIBLE PRE-DINNER SERVICE. I had originally made a reservation for 4 people for 10 Nov for 10PM. Unfortunately, I was forced to cancel the reservation and called, that same day, around 7PM, spoke to Abraham, and cancelled the reservation.

Earlier this past week, I made another reservation for this past Saturday, 17 November for 8 individuals at 10PM. Again, I spoke to Abraham. He CONFIRMED THE RESERVATION. When I arrived to the restaurant last evening, with my guests who came from NJ, CT, and Long Island, I was first told that my reservation had been cancelled. Abraham, said that many attempts were made to reach me on the phone and that a voicemail message was left for me. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. If I would have, do you think I would have had my guests come from so far for nothing? At my insistence, the owner was summoned.

Frankly, the owner was kind but had no sophistication in marketing or how to resolve the situation. He insisted that someone had called me to cancel the reservation. He also said that the previous weekend, I had made a reservation which was not kept. He said that the table had been kept for me on 10 Nov. – awaiting for my arrival. As I wrote in the beginning, I called to cancel that reservation. I know what it is like to have an empty table awaiting for patrons. Therefore, I would never not cancel a reservation I was not going to use. Anyhow, his response to me was absurd. Was I now being punished for last night (Nov. 17th) with no table because I did not keep my reservation on Nov 10th?

What was clear to me is that this establishment had probably booked a very large group at the last moment and decided to honor that reservation and bump my smaller group of 8 people. How shameful and unprofessional.

The owner made little effort to accommodate us. He said he was going to call his other reservations to make sure they were coming. He then said they were all coming and sent us on our way. We asked for restaurant recommendations in the area and he mentioned a few but said they were all probably too busy to take us.

If it would have been me, I would have squeezed in another table, offered my group appetizers and cocktails, invited us (or me) back in the future – as his guest. Etc.. There are so many ways to have resolved this scenario in a much better way.

Therefore be aware if you are booking a large group coming from afar.

Excellent Lebanese & Mediterranian Food in Bayridge – Nicely decorated, very clean and cozy atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and efficient and the owner was taking personal interest in all the guests.

Well, the best thing....food was excellent, portion size was large and presentation was great. We went there for our anniversary dinner and driving all the way from Nassau County was really worth it. I am happy to discover my new favorite place in Brooklyn.

Le Sajj is highly recommended to those who like good food in a lovely atmosphere. And yeah, tell them that Commissioner Abid recomended this excellent restaurant to you.

Dont waste your money – Well...the place looked very nice and elegant, but the restaurant was empty for a reason.

They say don't judge a book by its cover, well we read this book.

The place was nicely decorated with fancy woodwork, dim lighting and lovely table layouts. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful.

It all started going down hill with the food. Firs they brought out the (special) bread. It is almost like an Indian rotti or a very thin flat bread which tasted like cardboard. It was very hard and leathery.

Half the menu was unavailable for whatever reason, so I ordered the special...Half a chicken stuffed with rice, mashed potatoes and a side salad.

First came my tiny portion of instant mashed potatoes which were microwaved. Then came my tiny side salad which had a pungent bitter dressing on it (how can you screw up a side salad???). Then came my microwaved half chicken stuffed with rice.

YESsss...they microwaved the chicken too. It was so dry and hot that it burned my mouth. And you know how when you over microwave chicken or anything it becomes hard and uncheckable?

What a disappointment. This place was a little on the pricey side. For the amount they charge; this food would be unacceptable even to McDonalds standards.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. There are plenty of great places to dine in the near vicinity of this phony attempt for a restaurant.

My boyfriend and I went there for Valentine's Day for dinner. This has been our second time there. The place is beautifully decorated. I believe the Owner served us as well as greeted us. He really knows what he is doing. Excellent service. the food was delicious. We also brought home leftovers for the next two days. There was so much food and we chose an excellent bottle of wine. we had plenty of champagne that came with the pre-fixe special. The entertainment was even better than last time we came. Beautiful bellydancer and the guy who sang had a great voice. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Meditterean cuisine and entertainment. I can't wait to go there again. thanks for making our evening beautiful.

Outstanding food, service, entertainment. Friendly, happy atmosphere. – My mother's ancestry is Lebanese. So this was a special experience for her. All the food she remembered from her childhood, and then some, were available here. We ordered the pre-fixe, and I took enough leftovers home for 2 days of lunch and dinner! There were soooo many dishes included, that I couldn't name one that stood out particularly - because it was all marvelous. We went to dinner late enough to enjoy the belly dancer and singer. I've seen belly dancers before, at family parties where they hire a dancer to entertain. The dancer here was above all the rest. Her dancing was tasteful, energetic, and she was of course, beautiful. If you do plan to order the pre-fixe dinner, though, I do recommend you not eat for 6 hours before, because it's a lot! Just when I thought they'd served all the meal, then my main course arrived. On a weeknight you can usually find the owner, whom I believe is also the head chef, outside the restaurant greeting guests, or speaking to passersby who are his patrons and are so happy to see him. I'm happy to see someone who has fed me so well, too. I thought it was a real value for the meal. Again, it's not just quantity. It's also quality. I look forward to returning with more of my Lebanese-heritage family members, as well as non-Lebanese. This is enjoyable for everyone.
