Blue Lotus is a special place. It holds whatever you bring to it. It has held all that I have brought thus far and it is always there welcoming you back after a stint away. I have had many great experiences here: Drumming and dancing at potlucks. Front desk impromtu funky dance parties. I have seen a roomful of students reach handstand despite the vast diversity and experience levels! Perhaps some of the most cherished moments have been those during workshops and teacher trainings when you get to spend several hours together...to really slow down. There are those moments together in the quiet. Thanks to all who make Blue Lotus and thanks the Raleigh yoga community of which we are a part.
Check out Blue Lotus, you'll LOVE it – This is a yoga studio as well as a community of kind, open-hearted individuals who love to practice and share the gift of yoga.
I've been a regular at Blue Lotus for over a year now, and recently purchased an annual membership. Every time I walk in for class, I can count on a smile, and sometimes a dog tail wag from Padma to welcome me! All of the instructors are professional and knowledgable - and each brings their unique spirit and sharing of the gift of yoga to class.
Whether you are a first time yoga practitioner or someone who has practiced yoga for a long time, I promise you will enjoy the light and energy at the Blue!
Many thanks for taking the time to post. We are so grateful to have so many people like you in the community- who are a HUGE part of making blue lotus the welcoming community that it is...
Wish I lived next door! – I have attended classes at the blue for about a year. I live about 20 miles from there so each visit is not only a joyful experience, it's also an adventure. I typically don't venture out too far from home for yoga, but a trip to the blue is always a blessing and well worth the commute. The studio is beautiful and well-maintained. The variety of classes offered make the blue the perfect studio for just about everyone. The instructors are both friendly and professional and Jill is truly an inspriation!
Talk about inspiring! That IS no small trek for a yoga class, and it certainly makes us feel great to know the experience is worth your valuable time and energy to venture away from your usual path to join us. Thanks for sharing!
The best...and i've been to them all... – In search of a yoga home in the triangle, I found blue lotus, where every instructor I have had has made me feel welcome. I immediately gravitated to their inclusive teaching style and accepting spirit.
Every now and then I look around and shop for other yoga spaces, but always end up back at the blue. The owner, Jill is such an inspiration of light and peace.
Such kind words...we are blessed to have so many great yoga studios in the Triangle area to shop from and we love that you've found your yoga home at the blue. Even more, we are glad that our intention to be inclusive and welcoming is felt by those who walk through our door. Thank you!
great teachers, enviting atmosphere – A beautiful space with many inspiring teachers and teaching styles. A must for those visiting or living in Raleigh who wish to begin or grow their yoga practice. Something sweet for all levels.
It IS all related. All connected. And we're glad the blue is a sweet spot for YOU.
Love the Blue! – This is a warm, welcoming space. The smiling faces of the "peeps" who greet you as you enter, the variety of classes offered, and most especially the talented teachers make this studio special. Novice yoga students as well as those experienced yogis looking for a little spice can find what they need at the Blue. If you come at the right time, you may even get to meet Padma, the sweetest little yoga dog ever!
Not everyone can agree on the best yoga studio or the best teacher, but everyone DOES seem to agree that Padma is the sweetest yoga dog ever. :)
Thanks for taking the time to post a review, and we're so glad you're part of the blue community!
I heart the Blue.... – A buffet of classes and teaching styles, professional and knowledgable teachers, a clean and welcoming space. A nice community studio, with something for everyone....
And we heart all of the amazing yogis like you that support the studio, participate in the community, and contribute to the welcoming atmosphere for everyone! Thanks for sharing!
Very friendly!! – Beautiful amazing studio! I stumbled upon Blue Lotus on my way to visit family! The teacher was knowledgeable and the students were pleasant and welcoming as well! All in all it was a great experience, I felt like I was home!!
Thanks for coming by! We're always happy to see new faces and welcome new students -- visitors and locals alike. Please be sure to come see us again on your next trip through Raleigh!
not impressed – This is a beautiful studio, I've attended two classes with two different instructors. The first instructor was competent and personable, yet she did not seem to connect with students. The second instructor was much more concerned with her own practice than working with students. She did not leave her mat during the entire class, nor did she make eye contact at all Very disappointed. I would not attend classes here again.
We appreciate any and all feedback about our studio, Eoline, and thank you for taking the time to write your review. I'm sorry your experience at blue lotus did not meet your expectations. We really take pride in our yoga community and it's always our intention and hope that everyone leaves feeling good about their practice. That said, we also understand that finding a teacher or teachers that fit with one's own particular style and preferences is a journey. We have more than a dozen teachers and a range of different classes at blue lotus, and would love it if you would perhaps give one of the others a try. You can also read more about each of the instructors on our web site at www.bluelotusnc.com at The Studio tab. We hope to see you back at the studio again. Peace ~ Jill
Great Studio, Instructors & Experience – Attended the Monday night, Flow & Stretch class. Awesome. The studio was very nice, calm and quiet... Just how it should be! The class was great, instructor was well qualified and just like a good instructor, focused on student adjustments instead of her own practice. Great studio & experience. By the looks of the Monday night class I attended, it is a much-loved studio by many. I traveled from out of town and the studio had mats to borrow, which was nice for those who travel. You can schedule/pay online, too, very convenient.
Thanks for taking the time to write a review after visiting our studio! It's true-- people flock to Michele's Monday night class to start the week off right. We hope you'll visit us again next time you're in town!
