Small, with exotic beers, and extreme service – Things didn't start off so well. The place was much smaller than expected. I'd sent a MySpace note asking 'em to hold a table, but when I got there... it was huh? MySpace? We drank until a table was available, and our group continued to expand. As it did the waitress grew increasingly hostile, complaining that people who joined us were buying from the bar, and not her. Fair enough. So when new members came, I called to the waitress to let her know. She seemed upset.
"I was just trying to help you out," I explained.
"I don't need any help!" she snapped back at a scary volume.
After that things got better. We were able to move to a large table in the back. The bar was accommodating in moving the furniture. And we had a ton of exotic beers to chose from. I ordered something black and Russian. And when our waitress left, duties were taken over by Lori, the bartendress. She was a goddess! Friendlier than a puppy, she even tried to learn some Japanese. We talked about old times in New York and she knew more about bars than I did! Yowsah! It turned out to be a great night.-- Drink Club is a Roving group of NYC Drinkers
Best Beer Choices – When I came in with a few friends, I was surprised at the fact that they had a wide variety of imported bottled beers and Drafts. I'm so used to drinking Buds, and Miller Lite that when I have seen the choices I was floored. I wanted to stay all night and try out the others that I did not get to sample from the lovely bartender Brie. Not only are the beers great but the food was also. (Cant go wrong with fried calamari!). I did enoy the baseball game that was on the plasma TV that evening (Come on what guy wouldnt?). With all these existing at one bar who does not want to come in and check it out themselves!!! Try out the Blue Point Blueberry Draft. It's awsome!!
Great customer service, friendly staff & Kickin happy hour – Me and the guys stumbled upon Cb Six looking for a place to chill, watch the game and have some beers. We got all three and than some. We sat at a table, and was greeted by our waitress Brie. We asked her to make some suggestions because the list of beers was endless. We stayed long after the game was over and we tryed alot of the beers Brie was picked.
I liked that the music was not blaring. We could have a conversation as well as enjoy the surroundings.
The bar is a very nice change of pace. Go check this place out!! It rocks!!!
Best Selection of Belgium Beers – I was introduced to the bar from a friend from work. We went there for some after work drinks. The selection of beers is endless!!! Our bartender "Roof" was so helpful in guiding us thru all the beers. He gave us a little taste of the beers he had on tap before I picked a Victory Golden Monkey on tap and my friend picked a bottle of Schnieder Aventinus. They were excellent choices.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and comfy. The juke box was a big bonus. What a selection. You could pick from Alternative to Old school. I liked the plazma tv's playing sports. The day that we went, they had the french style doors wide open and we had a nice breeze going with a great view of whats going on outside.
I will go back again and bring other friends. This bar is a wonderful change from what's the mass in NYC. Either it's a swanky ultra lounge or Irish pub. This bar was neither but a happy medium and not one bit pretenious! We felt like friends of CB Six when we left.
