I love this salon. I always leave wanting to go out on the town, with my awesome look!
Amy is amazing!! I have been going to her for years. Some hair stylists specialize in specific categories (e.g. cut, color, highlights, etc.). I have literally gotten every color of the rainbow in my hair and had many different styles of haircuts. From a conservative yet sexy brunette, to a purple-streaked rock star, to dorothy red highlights, to a little bit of emo black, and currently to all-over barbie doll blonde...Amy has impressed me every time with her talent and artistic ability. Her extraordinary skills alone will keep you coming back, but if that's not enough, she has one of the best personalities and a positive attitude! You can definitely tell she loves her job and is happy to be there. Everyone wants to get their hair done by somebody who is just as excited to see the outcome as you are. Very positive atmosphere, great music, laughter, fun...hours at the salon seem to go by like seconds. Love Valerie too! Great management, excellent customer service, stellar results...who could ask for more?
BEWARE HAIR WAS DESTROYEDI – I was recommended to have my hair colored by Amy. What a mistake. I sat down with her and showed her pictures of blonde hair with lowlights. I have been blonde all my life. She explained to me she was going to highlight and put lowlights in to balance my hair. Balance is the operative word here. I walked in at approximately 2:30PM and didn't exit the salon until 8:30PM. Unheard of! When the towel was removed from my hair after my shampoo and color job, my hair was dark brown, almost black looking with some blonde highlights, which took on a grayish appearance next to the dark brown color. I do not know what Amy was thinking by making my hair so dark. The dark brown did not look right against my skin. I looked ten years older. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the color and all Amy could say to me is that the owner, Valerie will fix the color. Amy told me she had an engagement that she had to attend and couldn’t stay and fix it. How unprofessional is that? Valerie proceeded to put more highlights in my hair (bleach), which totally dried my hair out even more. Valerie said she will fix it as best as she could, but in my opinion nothing was going to fix this bad hair job. My hair appeared to be a little lighter but still no cigar. I was then rushed out of the salon with a wet head due to the fact that it was now past the time of their closing time. I will never go to this salon again and I think that they should learn a little more about color techniques. Valerie tried to fix the problem, but I really believe that Amy should have been the one to do so, but I guess she felt leaving was the best thing to do. Honestly, I gave this a one star review, because there is no rating for 0. One star is actually too good for this joint. I also had my hair cut with Amy and she was so flustered with my hair color that she never even checked to see if my hair was even. She started to blow my hair out and still damp in the middle of blowing my hair out , proceeded to flat iron a piece of my hair. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and hopefully never will again. I am so disgusted with my hair that I had to make an appointment with another salon (hopefully more competent than this one) to fix the problem. As far as I am concerned they could take the keys and lock the doors to this salon!
Worst Place – My daughter went there for magenta streaks, came home, and there was blond and orange. The pink quickly faded within 2 nights, looked horrible. I called, spoke with the owner, and brought my daughter back to get it done correctly. The owner had the same lady do my daughter's hair (Laura or Lauren) instead of having some else fix her hair. After she fixed it, i was MAD. Her magenta hair was now a purplish color, and the bottom was all faded out, I will admit, this took care of the orange and blond. They did it yet again, after the owner tells me there was nothing wrong with her hair, and never was, and actually told me her hair was not messed up in the first place, which I replied they why did you fix it? Thankfully I took pictures of her orange hair. They did it again, and it still is not the pink color it was, draby looking and faded at the bottom, and not vibrant at all. The owner yelled at me for saying I would not refer anyone there, why would I? My kid had to get her hair done 3 times, and it still is not right. DO NOT GO THERE, it is not worth the headache and crappy work they do.
We did address the situation at no charge to the client. We also discounted the original service. The young lady had been in chlorine which does not work well with this type of direct dye. We remedied the situation based on the client's hair, our concern was keeping the integrity of the young lady's hair.
Dominique made me GORGEOUS! – I went in to see Dominique last weekend because I was referred by a friend who loved her highlights and she gave me blonde and light brown highlights that were just... honestly the best I have ever had done! The cut we did was simple (just long layers) but she styled my hair so nice and smoothe that it didn't frizz when I walked out into the humidity. Dominique was so sweet and easy to talk to!
