This place is rad – Saw G.Love and Special Sauce a few months ago and loved the venue and acoustics.
Foods still good, but menu has changed. – They have changed the menu as of October 2011 (the name has an addition too, but I forgot it), but it is still great food. Although, the cob salad has changed for the worse. I did have a problem with the parking. I always take my Mother here for lunch and have always been lucky getting the only handicapped spot out front. This time there was a truck with no handicapped sign so I asked the parking attendant if he knew who was parked there. He said he was parked there and that it was a private lot so he could park there if he wanted to. I almost left right then, but I did not want to disappoint my Mom so we stayed. I would have said something to the manager that usually comes around to the tables to check if everything with the service is okay, but that did not happen. Table service was slow as always, but friendly and attentive. There might be a problem to watch out for if management has changed. I will also be contacting the City of Dallas about the posted handicapped parking being used by employees. I do not plan on returning.
things got a lot better – first experience sucked but they totally made up for it! I had a great time at the TV on the Radio show and employees were very nice and helpful. venue is really cool on the inside. Its a great size- not too big and not too small!
House of Blues Gospel Sundays with Lady Diamond – This exciting event held monthly at the House of Blues where you can enjoy exciting music, food and fun. Lady Diamond is exciting and engages her audiences and guest groups are great.

thank you =D
Great Music, Horrible Employees – Several friends and I attended the Blasphemous Rumours show last night 9.5.2010, we all agreed the show was great. We also agreed The Dallas HOB Staff,(excluding the valets) was horrible.
The common complaint.......We were not treated as guests should be treated. I honestly cannot remember seeing one employee smile, the whole time we were there(730pm-12am). Normally that in itself wouldn't bother me, it's when one of these people has to check your ID, or has to put a wrist band on you, or has to takes your drink order that it becomes a problem.
If I encounter one rude employee, not good but not the end of the world either. Two rude employees worse but I will not gonna be defeated. More than two, I'm telling all my friends to tell their friends don't waste your money there. You would think I was talking about a staff comprised of nothing but teenagers, the valets were the only teen aged employees I saw and they were great.
Dallas HOB will have to book one of my top 5 bands in order for me to return.... .maybe not even then. I would not recommend more like recommend avoid it if at all possible.
Patti Griffin and Buddy Miller were great!! – Absolutely enjoyed the Buddy Miller Patti Griffin show Friday night. Buddy Miller wore the strings off of his guitar, he can play with the best. Patti sang her heart out, mostly from her latest cd, Downtown Church. HOB was great too, we'll go back.
Restauarant overpriced – this is really a review of the restaurant. I've seen a couple of concerts here and had a good time. Its an intimate venue and if you know and like the artist you'll enjoy yourself. BUT if you wander over to the restaurant you'll find burges for $11, forgettable pizza for $10 and for some bizarre reason they jacked up all their entree prices about 100%. I work downtown and went to lunch when it first opened and hand their jumbalaya for around $9 (about right for a lunch item at a tourist spot). I went back last week and the same item is now $18. What's up with that. There were hardly any patrons (maybe four tables), the waitress was pleasant but offered me parmessan cheese for my pizza and then came back to tell me she couldn't find it. LOL. Not sure why anyone would actually go eat here unless they were going to a concert. Hard Rock is across the street with better food and Dicks last resort gives you the same burger at half the price.
Foundation room: bliss – I go to the Foundation Room whenever given a chance. I love the incense, furnishings, and decor it keeps me wanting more. The food is always spot on arrays of fine bread, superior salad, and a main course that always impresses. Last trip was heirloom tomato salad, crab cakes, cesar, and yellow fin tuna. The filet and rib eye are excellent as well.
Texas 1st – Great for food music and fun Sunday brunch is the best ever.
