good quality furniture in this store. furniture arranged so that one can visualize what a room would look like with these items. david has vast knowledge of fabrics, leather, etc. and can help with your questions. purchased furniture for den and am very happy with the quality of leather. would shop here again. delivery was next day! can't beat that.
Not a customer friendly place – I entered the store with my 3 year old nephew and 14 year old cousin. Not one time did anyone ask if I neededed assistance or had any questions. We browsed the store for about fifteen minutes, still no one asked if we needed help. My grandmother then arrived, without children in tow mind you, and they immediately asked if she needed help. He eyed us the entire time we were in the store and made me feel very uncomfortable. I walked to the desk to ask them about a coupon that i had received from bargainbee. I had to stand there for a few minutes while they finished their conversation in order to be addressed. I will not go back to this store again. I appreciate a store that will show good customer service and this place isn't one of them.
I also found a few of the items that were on the showroom floor for a better price elsewhere. It's not worth the trip.
Fantastic Experience – Recently, we decided to purchase our daughters some new mattresses. As we are new to the area, we stopped at the first furniture store we passed, Household Furniture. With a huge selection, great prices, and knowledgeable, friendly sales staff (the owners), we quickly settled on 2 sets. As it was late in the day on Saturday, my husband informed the owners that he would go home, pick up our truck, and come back, so as not to have to wait for delivery. Instead, one of the owners took us outside, loaded his personal truck, followed us home, and delivered our bed...that's what I call great service!
Rude co-owner – I desperately needed new furniture, but I was looking for something in a very low price range. After browsing around the pricey show room, the lady at the desk pointed out the clearance room. Here I found a wonderful sofa and loveseat set for $599. This was nice stuff, I mean really nice. I asked about their free delivery before I left and he said oh no problem it just might be a few days since I was out of the way which was understandable. I also asked why it was so cheap and was told that it was to make room for other stock and they just hadn't been able to sell it. So after I made sure it was actually that price, I discussed it with my husband. Needless to say, I was back soon after to purchase it since the original price was $1499.
When I returned, the co-owner was rude and said I was lucky I had been able to steal it at that price. When I asked about delivery I was told it would be at least 2 weeks if not a month since delivery only applied when you were inside city limits. The icing on the cake was when I asked him what brand it was since it wasn't marked and was told, "I guarantee its nothing you ever heard of" with a very snobbish air... after he had taken my $650 of course. I was so angry and my 6 year old son was with me, so there wasn't much I could say without setting a very un-Christian example. I chose to not do business with them anymore. About 2 months later. I was sitting across from the loveseat and realized that right on the front of the left arm, there was a rip that had been very deftly and skillfully repaired. I think that would explain why it was such a low price. And I still have no idea what brand it is to buy a matching chair and ottoman. How's that for service?
I bought my living room furniture from this store for almost $2000. What a disappointment. – The sofa and chair set were stuffed with what the store manager called "down". However it was more like quill feathers poking everyone that sits on it. It is very embarressing when we have family and friends over, because feathers go right through the cushions, and our floor and sofa are littered with feathers everyday.
We pick them up and a few hours later there all over the sofa and floor again. I feel like I purchased a chicken coop. I brought the cushions in to the store manager. He said he would clean them up as they were covered with feathers, while he contacted the factory. I was told to bring in my receipt and I did. When I picked up my cushions I was told I would receive a new sofa. When my wife talked to the store manager, he said they would just replace the cushions. To date they have done neither. Every time my wife tries to contact the manager he is with a customer, and never returns her calls. This is the first time I have ever had a furniture store not stand behind their product, and it is very diasppointing.
