Reviews for Lamberts

Walk in, sneak upstairs, and be prepared to eat Frito Nachos (among many things) and listen to some of the best live jazz around.

Happy Hour Bliss – Go here for happy hour and try not to be fulfilled.. it's impossible. So delicious and inexpensive and the bartenders really take care of you... I personally love the charcuterie plate and the boar ribs.. ok as well as the hanger steak (for $8!!) and everything else... ok well the deviled eggs arent my fave but whatever.. this place rocks for happy hour.. havent been here any other time so i cant speak for the rest of the menu...

Be charmed by this Austin Downtown dining marvel and applaud the fresh, well turned-out concept. – Lamberts' concept is rustic chic, accented by sophisticated lighting, sleek handcrafted furniture, original artwork, and energy from the open kitchen and live music that filters from the upstairs lounge.

The full bar offers local favorites on tap, as well as, Guinness Draught, Chimay and Amstel Light.

Sweet and savory bread served with whipped butter was enjoyed while looking at the menu and daily specials. The appetizer course was a perfectly cut, steamed and seasoned artichoke served with garlic butter and spicy aioli. At this point, we could no longer converse, only indulge ourselves in this delightful rarity. My dinner: a pink-centered prime rib served with fresh horseradish and a parmesan-crusted roast tomato, was a melt-in-your-mouth treat. Inhaled by both, was a rich, roasted cauliflower side. My friend ravished his salt & pepper rubbed 17 oz 'Niman Ranch' ribeye accompanied by a roasted head of garlic.

We finished the night off with an after dinner drink and a thank you to our server, Jonathan.
