What a noise box – Call me old fashioned, but if you are out for a quiet dinner and conversation with friends, this ain't the place. The food is mediocre at best and overpriced. The wine guy was condescending - sorry, I know my wines, so stop contradicting me and my choices in such a know-it-all fashioned. Oh, and the broken glass in my dessert . . .
The Best Italian Food in Dallas – Finally we have an Italian Restaurant that is here to stay. NOVE, translated is "9" in Italian, is owned and operated by N9NE Group. There is also a NOVE in Vegas. My wife and I are big fans of Italian food. But there are so few in Dallas. We walked into NOVE and instantly we were awed by the decor. The setting is very romantic. The art deco is digital on these huge frames and they change every few seconds! The wine wall is the main decor attraction. It's an entire wall of LED lights which shifts and change into pictures. At one point there was a live picture of a fireplace on the wall.
Now onto the food. We ordered the Lobster Pizza and it was spectacular. It came thin crust and oval shape which makes it very authentic. That's how pizza is served in Italy. Their NOVE spaghetti is to die for. It's made up of seafood with scallops, shrimp, lobster and muscles. The spaghetti had a dark color as they dye it with squid ink...very very artistic. My wife had the Chicken Parmesian and it was the best we have had in a long time. Overall our experience was A class and we can't wait to go back again. We had a very romantic evening.
avoid on Friday nights – We're told by some friends that if we really want to enjoy our meal in a very classy atmosphere, we must eat here. I tried making reservations for 7:00 pm the only opening was at 6:30pm which didn't bother me much. Thinking this a thrieving place, must be really busy. But when we reach there, half of the tables are empty util 9:00pm when we left. At the table our Waiter brings us the Menu right away. Within couple of minutes starts asking about our decision on Appetizers and we refuse to order any since we had some at the bar. We can tell by now that he is not happy about us not ordering anything. He leaves and comes back again for our Meal decision which we haven't decided yet because we all are in middle of a conversation and didn't get a chance to look at the Menu yet. By now we could see his smile is gone and he is not even responding to our jokes. It made all of us nervous so we quickly ordered our meal. There was no Salt on the table so we asked another Waiter to get us some. We asked him to keep the Salt dispenser on the table which he did, but our original Waiter came and took it without even asking if we needed it anymore. After we finished our meal, he brought the Check right away and came twice to ask if we needed few more minutes. We decided to leave and go somewhere where we won't be rushed to eat,pay and leave. We still paid tip which I think he didn't deserve. We went to a little cheaper place for Dessert and enjoyed the company of our firends.
So to make the long story short, being an Elite,High-end,expensive place "Nove" doesn't offer what a "whole in the wall"place could whihc is "An enjoyable evening". I don't think "Nove" was worth keeping my 21/2 year old son at a Daycare in the middle of his Bedtime.
Great service, great decor and most importantly, great food – I had dinner here Saturday night w/ my brother & sister-in-law. We had the calamari for the appetizer & asparagus & crispy potatoes for side. The calamari was the best I've had. It was made w/ cherry peppers, white wine, & garlic. The asparagus was nothing special, but good, nevertheless. The crispy potatoes were good, good flavor, but a little too hard. The potatoes clumped together. I had the Nove spaghetti, which I think is their signature dish...AWESOME! How can you go wrong w/ lobster, shrimp, crab, scallop and calamari in your spaghetti.
In addition to the great food, the decor & service were impeccable. It's hard to eat here & not notice how chic the decor is & beautiful the hostesses & cocktail waitresses are. I dined at their steakhouse neighbor next door last month, owned by the same company, & just love that the company offers the highest quality of food & service with a lot of style. This is also a great classy place to come to drink before events at the American Airlines Center. If I were from Dallas, I'd spend a lot of time here.

Topiaries shaped into nude women tower over the patio. Inside, antique furniture upholstered in ivory crocodile and purple leather dots the elevated lounge. Below, the dining room glows with crystal chandeliers and plasma televisions in gilded rococo frames. Signature dishes are Spaghetti Nove and lobster pizza topped with ricotta and arugula. Notable entrees include Roman style lamb porterhouse, veal chop with Portobello, lemon and parmesan, and seared tuna served with chickpeas, olives and citrus vinaigrette.
