The WORST Club Ever!!!!! – This club is a fraud, small, overcrowded, smells like poop, filled with old creep people with a rude staff, and wack music.

We were there last night for a birthday party last night. We got a VIP table through a promoter a week before last night.

When we got there, they rejected three people in our group because they didn't have a state liquor ID. A Mass ID wouldn't even cut it. The guy checking ID was double checking IDs and asking me my street address like my ID was fake. He did that to everybody.

We got to our table at 10:40pm, which was located on the first floor by the dance floor. After a hassle of getting the right liquor, we got 2 bottles and a champagne bottle and finished it before midnight. We decided to close the tab and pay the tab so we wouldn't have to deal with it later.

Right after I paid the tab, I went to the restroom. When I got back from the restroom their were bouncers all over our table. So I asked, "what's going on?", the bouncer said, "there's a problem and they're getting the manager".

The manager came and stated that since we're not buying no more bottles, we have to leave the VIP table so they can sell it to someone else. They said we didn't buy the table, only the liquor. I said that was BS, and showed them my receipt. The manager glanced over the receipt and basically ignored it.

So I was angry by this time and called it BS, it's F'd up and such. The douchebag manager said you can't talk to the staff like that and basically ejected me sports game style from the club.

They basically kicked us out from the VIP table to they could sell it to another group. This place does not care about people and all they want to do is make money, thinking they're high class and on top of the world. We never even signed the bill to pay for the table. They just gave us a receipt that had a higher balance than what we were told.

This club was the worst clubbing experience I've ever had. Don't waste your time and money going to this club where general admission people get better treatment. People getting VIP will get screwed over if you pay the bill early.

The drinks are stupidly expensive, rude staff, and retard waitresses. The $10 an hour bouncers kept putting his hand on me while kicking me out. I had to tell him to keep his hands off me.

The Estate is ran by a punk and is crap compared to other clubs like Rumors, Royal, Liquor and such.

I reported them to the BBB and will dispute the charge. I hope that place burns down with all the staff in it.

Don't even bother with this club! – We had etickets and had to pick up at the door. The club would not give us our tickets, and would not let us in. We waited 1.5 hours in the proper line, and were at the front near the end. They would not let us and about 15 others in, and everyone had prepurchased tickets ahead of time. There were other random customers showing up at the door and were being let in. We did not receive the tickets that we paid for. This was badly managed by the club staff at the door, and it ruined our night.

Great nightclub for college kids – I have been wanting to try this club for a while, but was always hesitant to venture out into the Alley for dance clubs for price and getting my friends motivated. But I ended up winning a free party (table + bottle of champagne) for me and a few of my friends, so we got dolled up and decided to give it a go.

When we got to the club and I told them about the free party, the bouncers looked a little perplexed and it took them a few minutes to figure out what we were talking about. We were also supposed to have line privileges but we got there early enough not to have to worry about that... I have a feeling that if we tried to use our privilege it wouldn't have worked because the bouncers were too unorganized.

The free party was awesome! They took us to the balcony and seated us and gave us one of those huge bottles of Crane Lake champagne. The waitress was dressed in a lacy corset, which was pretty snazzy. However, she wouldn't wait on us for cocktails or beers, just bottle service... which was a little strange but the bar was 2 feet away so we didn't mind too much.

Drink prices weren't bad. I saw a guy get a Corona for $6, and my friends got vodka/tonics for $10. My boyfriend scared the living daylights out of me for saying he had to pay $17/shot at one of the Alley clubs; but I got a red bull/vodka for only $12, which is around what I usually expect to pay anyway.

Once we were nice and liquored up, we hit the dance floor. It's definitely much more enjoyable to bring a big group of fun-loving girls to a place like this. We tried to dance on the catwalk, but the bouncer politely told us he still had to clear it w/ his manager before we could get up there. Didn't matter, a few minutes later some employees in lingerie were dancing, which might sound trashy but it was actually really awesome - kind of like a PG-13 strip club. By this point in the night I was pretty smashed (sorry to any below reviewers if I stepped on your toes, yelled in your ear or fell on top of you) but I remember meeting some awesome people. Sidenote: if you have issues with personal space, don't come here - everyone likes to get up close and personal. Just deal w/ it, it's part of the experience.

The space itself is so awesome. Like someone said below, it's like an old-fashioned opera house. The decor is really, really luxurious and it's definitely something to see.

The only thing I would have docked a point for: the next morning, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw a $400 charge from the Estate on my credit card when I only ordered one cocktail at the bar. I was flipping out for 2 days, but Dave the VIP manager emailed me and said it was just a mistake in the system. I'll never use my credit card there again, but he was very apologetic and the charge is being dropped.

Hint: if girls get there before 11pm on Saturday, you get in for free! Friends who came to join me said they got in at 11:02 and they still weren't charged, phew!

New and hot scene... – This is where Big Easy used to be a few years ago, its now replaced by a more upscale club. Though I was skeptical, I saw it on the InstantNightlife site and wasn't dissapointed... it gets pretty crazy

If you are looking for a good time go to the estate – I went to the estate for the first time Friday night and I had the best time. The crowd was full of people all looking to have a good time and the music was perfect for getting the party started. The service was great and overall the place was super clean. I'm definitely going back.

Felt Like Back in Europe – I am originally from France and have hung out at a lot of clubs in Paris, so I have very discerning taste when it comes to clubs in the states. A friend of mine said she could get us on the guest list at The Estate last night for some kind of international night, so I was intrigued. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The line out front was insane and it was freezing out, so I was really glad we were on the list. The guys at the door were pretty friendly (for door guys) and we were inside before we knew it. The coat check was $3, which I can't complain about since I'd rather have access to coat check then not. The club itself is pretty nice, with an old vintage feel to it and a really cool stage. The place was insanely busy but the bartenders moved quickly. The drinks were expensive, but I didn't expect them to be cheap. We found a couple guys from Turkey to buy us a few rounds, so it worked out. The place actually felt a little like the clubs back home since almost everyone had table service and the music was really good. I would definitely go back, but would need to be on the guest list in this weather.

Had to Write – I love The Estate. By far it is the most New York or Vegas style club in the city. Great Dj's; very good looking, well dressed crowd, and pretty good pricing.

I have been there a dozen times this past year and have had a blast every time. And where else in this city can I go to celebrity watch. It is the ONLY place for that.

Enjoy it. I do.

The Behind the Scenes Perspective – DO NOT CONSUME A BEVERAGE POURED FROM A CARAFE. 60% of the carafes are moldy prior to being filled with a mixer. Bottle service girls have brought such health concerns to the management, yet the management has no desire to spend any energy correcting the issue (which would be as easy as a 5-10 minute run through the dishwasher pre-shift)... Any effort beyond that which the health commission would notice would be considered extraneous to the management at the Estate.

Another effed up aspect to the management - they have zero appreciation for employee loyalty. Example: they owe so much money to so many staff members there it is ridiculous. I just found out today that they never paid the old VIP hostess her last check of over 1000 dollars, and refuse to do so.

Bouncers are encouraged to boss people around and get physical, photographers are forced to get in celebs' faces and snap pics they know they wouldn't appreciate, and service staff are told to "milk them for all they're worth". And if a staff member doesn't like it, they are fired immediately. For the record, I was not one of these individuals.

I am all for running a business like a business, but taking advantage of unassuming patrons and staff is just disgusting.

Go here if you want, the crowd is fun on Thursdays (gay night) and Fridays (international, house music), but I would rather take my business elsewhere and not be a victim of such irresponsibility.

Some better options:

1 Bond - classy lounge downtown

2 Post - the newest hot spot in Boston

3 Gypsy Bar - right next to the Estate !

4 Rumor - same crowd only bigger and better

5 Fanuiel Hall / North Station and also Fenway - much better areas to party ! There is better parking and a better selection for bar hopping than at the Alley

I hope this prompts the management to step up their game but unfortunately I just don't think they care.
