Terrible – I had a horrible experience at this restaurant last night. I attended a Praise Cafe at their "Banquet Hall." I had read several bad reviews about this place, but decided to see for myself. Horrible. There was supposed to be a "Buffet." The buffet consisted of 2 wing dings, two skinny pieces of some kind of fish, and some dried up rice. The salad was fresh. But the straw that broke the camels back was when they expected people to pay $2.00 for water and soda. How ridiculous is that. Who wouldn't serve a beverage with a buffet. They wouldn't even GIVE water to those performing in the cafe. it was horrible. The food was late, which threw everything out of whack. People were waiting in line for up to 1/2 hour, just to get a first serving. Awful. I wouldn't go back there if they were selling free food and giving the building away for free!!! Get it together--terrible.
A Dining Nightmare – I totally agree with Ms. Hunt's review of this restuarant as I was a member of her dining party, the dining experience was a NIGHTMARE. One of my concerns was the lack of cleanliness. After running out of plates they brought out a
stack of half washed plates (thank goodness they had also found some paper plates). The eating area was filthy and no attempts were made to clean up spills in the serving areas. Some of the food was lukewarm and even still partially frozen. A visit from the health dept. would have this place closed down immediately. As for the manager, the words Rude and Uncaring are putting it mildly. He lacks professional and humanitarian skills. We would have walked out if it had not been for our waiter going out of his way to try to make the situation bearable.
Review for Keya Graves Seafood + Steak – i had the most horrible experience on Sunday after a wonderful day at church. Friends of a friend had told us about this restaurant that served brunch until 4 and said that their take-out was always excellent, well let me tell you.
#1 there was no one to seat you
#2 there was 5 of us and they wanted to sit us at a table for 4
#3 we sat waiting about 10-15 minutes to give our beverage order and then that took another 10 minutes
#4 when we finally got in line it was about 1/2 hr later and believe it or not they had run out of plates and the food was really smelling good
#5 finally paper plates did arrive and then they started running out of food
#6 the frozen vegetables were still very frozen
#7 the wing dings were black inside
#8 the minister that was at our table called for the manager and no one wanted to tell who he was and when he came over to our table he was the OWNER and he was definitely rude and obnoxious
#9 i do not want to go into anymore details about this restaurant except to say i will not be going back there anymore
Worst Dining Experience Ever – I had the worst dining experience EVER at this establishment. I dined there on Valentines Day and was seated around 8:45PM. I first noticed dirty linen on the table. My waiter was slow and inexperienced, although he tried. I was handed a sheet of paper for the menu which only had about 13 entrees listed on it. No appetizers, beverages or sides were listed on this printer paper. They were very limited on beverages to choose from. My wife and I received dinner rolls about 20 minutes after being seated without any saucers or plates. It took another 20 minutes to receive our soup and that came with filthy spoons. After about another 10-15 minutes of waiting we finally received clean spoons, by then our soups were cold. Our entrees wasn't served for another 40-45 minutes. Which looked as if it was just thrown together on the plate. Also my wife was missing part of her entree. Not to mention that only took an additional 10 minutes for her to receive that. It was very unorganized from the front to the back of the house and they didn't have a lot of patrons. The manager was very unprofessional and crude. We had to suffer through this evening listening to a scratched CD of a 8 song playlist and guest cheering when they finally received their food. I Do Not understand how they are still in business with service this poor. I can't even recommend to go there for take out because some of those people were waiting for their food for an hour +. I hate to sound harsh about this restaurant but I had better service at a fast food restaurant.
Great Service, great food – I had the pleasure of eating at keya graves for the first time. I enjoyed every asspect of my visit. The decor was astonding... My crab legs and steak were cooked to perfection omg soo so juicey.. The honey fried chicken I do not even have any word but Niiiice.. My server was proffessional , personable and also funny . I cannot wait to go back
WOW THIS PLACE IS GREAT – LOVED IT, LOVE IT AND WILL BE BACK.. I HAVE EATING THERE MORE THEN 20 TIMES AT KEYA GRAVES AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT GREAT MUSIC AND EVEN A TV FOR SUNDAY FOOTBALL .
colt 45 specials every nite! – i had fried chicken n bisquit. with a can of colt.
Poor Service...Mediocre food – I have been to this establishment twice and both times were HORRIBLE service. My first time I came to pick up an order they ignored my boyfriend and I for 10 minutes while they wiped the windows and when they gave us our food it was already leaking out of the bag. It was a mess in there. The second time a friend and I decided to dine in...The setting was nice but they were blasting 90's rap. REALLY? Im supposed to enjoy my food while listening to "who shot ya?" It took them forever to bring the food out and when it did come it was in child sized portions and they forgot half of our order. Id rather eat at McDonalds from now on in Darby...
Has really gone downhill – 6pm on 8/7/09, had not been there for about 1 1/2 yrs, at that time I was very impressed, but this time, there were no paper towels or tissue paper in the restroom, the "grilled chicken" was flat, dry, overcooked, they said they were "out of salad", when really it was all bad and had to toss. the dinner roll was a little soft roll like you buy at the ACME with 12 in a cellophane pack. When i emailed my disappointment to the owner requesting an explanation for the food, was simply told, "hope your next visit is better". i will never return.
