I think its coming back...noticing movement – Been by the last couple night, seen movement within the restaurant...noticed the outside chairs have been set up, too. I loved this placed, dug the conveyor belt for lunch and thought the interior was cool. As far as the cranky babies in their cookie cutter condos who live above the place, deal with it. You live in a city now, out of mommy and daddy's basement in their McMansion up in Alpharetta. It's a little noisier, lasts a little later into the night and the people are that more much colorful. Used to be even more colorful before all these noise sensitive sticks in the mud moved in. A city's going to be a city, no matter how much you complain about the noise. Just deal with it.
THIS PLACE IS CLOSED!!! – Went to go have sushi the other night and walked up to the front door it was locked and all the chairs were stacked up in the corner.
Stay Away! – Bad service, bad food, horrible drinks, worst parking ever, and I was sick when I got home. I bought a girl a drink and she sent it back. If they closed they did Atlanta a favor. The manager could not resolve the issue and so I paid just to leave.
Wrong Place for a Gangsta Club – This place would have been great had they paid an ounce of attention to getting the upscale sushi scene down. Instead they scooped up the easy money gangsta bar crowd. Unfortunately, they probably should have read their lease, maybe even checked out the applicable zoning ordinance and most of all avoided alienating the 350+ unit residential component of the building they were in! Thrilled to see this horribly obnoxious neighbor GONE!
It's closed! Finally! – This place has been closed since Monday, Nov. 12.
Good riddance! Hope something better moves in.
Greatly improved from 3 months ago. Now, GREAT sushi. – I went to fune for the first time about 3 months ago. Back then, I was highly annoyed and disappointed about their "belt" because there wasn't much of anything on there. I hated the price and I felt like they didn't have that great of a service. I gave them one more try a week after but same results. Fast forward to last week and my friend highly recommended that I give Fune one more try. THIS TIME, they really did have great sushi and friendly service. The staff were very friendly and the chefs were very accomodating. If there wasn't a certain type of nigiri or roll on the belt that I wanted, he promptly made what I wanted and gave us some extra on top as well!
I think parking could be a problem during peak night times. However, the garage next to fune does provide free 1 hour parking and 2 dollars per hour over that if you go before it gets filled. I've also learned that they have a 11.99 all you can eat sushi for lunch and have gone there for lunch 3 times in the last week and a half. In my opinion, you can't beat what they provide for the price like that for lunch. Especially since there's no problem with parking during lunch hours.
For all those that had bad experiences at first, try them again! It's gotten so much better that I went from a 2 star experience to now a 5 star one.
Kung Pi!!! – I recently went to dine and lounge at Fune and it was a great experience, My server was Serena and she was not only absolutely gorgeous but very attentive and knowledgeable, whatever the new GM is doing its slowly coming together, I really enjoy when they stand up front and do the Kung Pi toast its kinda hot to see the whole restaraunt do that. The management staff was quick and efficient when ever there was a problem and ours was just that it took a lil while to get our orders but he remedied that really fast. Their drinks are pretty good but maybe they should change them up for the winter. Also our sushi was really fresh and the presentation was great. I'd eat here over MF sushi anyday its cheaper and better. Keep trying guys your almost there!!! thanks
Reactive Instead Of Proactive...Customer Service was Pertty Bad – My girlfriend and I decided to eat at Fune before we went out on Friday nite. We got there around 9:45 glad to see that it was not busy at all, expecting to be seated and served fairly quickly....NOT! We literaly stood at the front door for 10 minutes as no hostess greeted us and watched the servers and waiters walk back and forth past us without a glance. Finally my friend went to the bar and asked the bartender if we'd be seated or if we should seat ourselevs. His reply was, "You can just sit down if you want." Soooo, we sat at the Sushi Bar for another 10 minutes with no service, water, menu, nothing! Flagged a girl down and asked for the manager. He retained us by offering complimentary meals and drinks after we barked about the poor level of service, which we accepted. The manager seemed to be a nice guy although burned out and stressed. The sushi and cocktails were very good, the atmosphere...lounge/clubbish but that's the vibe they are after. I'd give them another chance, however, the management and staff totally need to bring it together.
Um... can we say... "some D@M!N good sushi?! – service... is a little shaky still... but better than the first time i went... man but some really hot girls there every time i go.... sushi is getting better everytime i go... looks so friggin good.. the lights and dj is great fits.... the

overrated sushi! Fune – First of all, i dont give a review unless i have given a place a chance,
Fune has had theirs,i have had on two occasions , purchased take out, and have had 4 dine in experiences
My 1st meal in was great! couldnt wait to go back, accommodating, pleasent, food was delicious, then came my 2nd visit , they were a little stressed and it showed, so not as pleasent, no sushi on the belt and not prepared for the business that was there, i had ordered the same food i had my first time, not as good and smaller portions.it was all down hill from there.
My next dine in experience was the worst, food was awful and the attitudes of the people were atrocious, when i had told the waiter i needed water, and have been out for awhile, his response was" Its so hard to make everybody happy" my friend and i were appalled, asked for salt never got it, one time i got up and got my own water.
twice i had gotten takeout, 1st was just ok, nothing great but ok, not worth what i paid for, last night was a takout night also, not only did they tell me ,10 to 15 min wich turned into more like 40, my food was AWFUL, tasted old, the rice wasnt fresh at all, my sushi did not taste fresh, it insults my intelligence to have people serve me food that is this way, ive had better sushi at a 9.95 all you can eat buffet, dont waste your money or your time.
They lack social skills with how to deal with the public!!!and the food stinks!!!!
