Coolest retail manager ever. – I am not from Cali' but if I ever decide to take a trip to San Diego, I'm signing up for a massage from Ali she is so hot, and the retail manager Peter looks like such a cool guy, after my massage I want a San Diego Mohawk just like his.
Rhode Island is also cool. Thanks.
I WELL NEVER GO TO THIS SALON AGAIN – I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SALON AGAIN, THE PPL THINK THEY ARE BETTER THEN YOU THE HAIR STLYLIST DONT LISTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT DONE TO YOUR HAIR. MANAGEMENT IS BAD AND THE GIRLS AT THE FRONT ( CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD AND MEAN)! IF YOU LOVE YOUR HAIR DONT GO THERE!
Love this place – I am from northern California, but I was in town in San Diego visiting a friend. We decided to have a spa day and Revive Salon and Spa was right down the street in Mission Valley.I had the best experience. It really is a one stop shop. First I got a facial from Angela...hands down the best facial. It was so relaxing and she was really knowledgeable on the products. She provided me with a regimen that I could easily follow at home and my skin has never looked better. After I went and got my hair cut by Erin who was sweet as can be. She really listened to me and my hair turned out great. After that, I received a manicure and pedicure from Amy who was hilarious. She had me laughing the entire time and gave me an unbelievable pedicure. The receptionists were so nice and helpful and even offered me a glass of wine after my facial! This was a great salon and I cant wait to go back during my next visit to San Diego!
Great Salon – My first visit was great. I have a hard time finding a salon I like. I have even been to the top rated salon in SD and was not impressed. It started with the phone call to make the appointment - the person who answered was very courteous and helpful. When I arrived I was greeted right away. The salon was clean and busy with clients. The stylist came out to get me promptly and was very polite and friendly - very professional Her name was Sara T. Her first day was my first time visiting, but she was not a new stylist. Has been doing hair for years. She was very knowledgeable about hairstyles and products they sold. I would recommend this salon and Sara T. to anyone looking for a good salon/stylist. They offer spa and nail services too, which I will try also.
Prepared to be revived! – I was so excited to find this place. The staff are nice, the hair stylist were really helpful in finding me a shampoo and conditioner that would work well for my hair and the haircuts i have received have always been great. I have also had the laser hair removal, which is definately working. The Doctor was very nice and thorough. I also recommend the facials as well. I have two different facialist and liked them both. I also bought some great skin medica products that are really weightless. I am planning on trying the teeth whitening next. The spa is relatively affordable with great specials.
Avoid getting color done here – This was my first salon visit I've had. I absolutely loved the people there based on personalities but...I went in there because my hair was pretty gold because of all my highlights and it didn't look terrible or anything I just needed a semi permanent to tone them down a little I brought a picture in of a light brown and my hair ended up being black. The stylist said that I wanted a chocolate brown but I did tell her I didn't want it to be to dark and it I wanted it to look like the pictures I brought in. I called the next day and the salon gave me a color correction (free) so I tell the stylist I wanted a light brown with a slight red tint since my hair was red after being stripped of the black color. She showed me a few colors and and I picked one out she chose a color a few shades lighter and I said I didn't like that color. Well I'm a redhead now!!! I NEVER wanted that and it isn't a pretty red it looks like I did it myself using a cheap box from the grocery store. I went to the Robert Cromean salon to get a consultation and they were all shocked (I showed them my original pictures, and they even discussed how the color was already fading which was only 3 hours old). I absolutely loved the stylist I had as a person but I don't think we communicated very well to each other. I called to speak to the owner but he wasn't there I'm calling tomorrow and I'm just praying they give me a refund otherwise I paid $100 to ruin my hair.
Pearly Whites, Hip Salon .... will leave feeling – I went this to spa before the new owners took over - and wow have they taken over. Re:vive has seriously revived. it has a fresh new hip look, hip music and all the new hip and much needed services - especially the "med-spa" services. The customer service and ambiance there is exceptional. I have gotten most of the services there: teeth whitening, laser hair removal, wax, facial and hair cut and style. I even took my husband there for a teeth whitening and hair cut. Everything was fabulous. The teeth whitening "experience" not only left me and my husband's smile PEARLY WHITE, but the Dentist had an amazing set up that made the experience more enjoyable than is available at other teeth whitening places. There's candlelight, aromatherapy and a flat screen tv with your choice of Movie or Sitcom to watch. Not only did the teeth whitening turn out beautifully, but the laser hair treatment has already started working after just two treatments! So I will definitely finish the package. (They give great deals on their services - so the packages are a great buy). Outside the medspa, the other treatments are equally fantastic and very relaxing. Janet gives a great facial and before I started the laser treatment - she gave the most thorough waxes - she is a perfectionist. I will definitely continue to be a customer.
Prof. Attitude, Atmosphere, and Appearance!!! – With all the things I need under one roof, I could not be more thrilled. Better than that is the level of professionalism displayed by each employee of the Re:vive staff. My massage was the best I have had in town! The therapist was well trained and the environment of the spa was refreshing and calm. The salon staff all using L'oreal Prof., showed why they could hold a name with years of success and a solid reputation.
MY COLOR WAS FABULOUS!!!! (so was my cut)
My Stylist focused on my needs for in-salon treatments and take home. I may have bought more products than I ever thought I would, but my hair has stayed as beautiful as the day I visited!!!
Most importantly the front desk and the owners are such a delight, offering big smiles, warm wishes, and great wine selection to keep me smiling...go enjoy Re:vive, I know I will agin and again!!!!!
Carli does great brows for $16 – Being as Revive was located quite close to my house, I was really excited to try it out. Looking in the cool windows I saw a sleek modern decor, fashionable stylists scuttling busily around and clients with giant smiles on their faces. I felt hopeful, as I had a whole slew of spa treatments I wanted to try out. I decided to do a brow wax first, just to test them out. I didn't have to wait at all in the waiting room, as I was taken straight back to a treatment room. The girl that did my brows, Carli, did a great job, though she missed a few small hairs. I also thought my eyebrows were a little thick, but I remedied that the second time I had my brows done by her (just needed to tell her). The treatment room was very small and I could hear people in all of the other treatment rooms, which I didn't particularly like. Anyways, it only cost $16 for a good brow job, so I was very happy.
I was kept waiting for 15 minutes before my second appt, which was a little annoying. I had my teach bleached with their LumaCool technology. It worked, although my teeth were not bright white, like on their website. I felt pressured to buy products, but, for $199 it was a pretty good deal. The other treatment rooms were loud, which was a little annoying.
At that point I was planning on dropping about $500 on a big spa day there, but I wanted to try one more service, just to be sure.
I went back to have my eyebrows waxed again, and this time I waited a good 20 minutes. The staff were rude and I felt uncomfortable, although Carli did another great job. I could still hear people talking in other treatment rooms.
I ended up dropping my cash for a big spa day at the All About You Day Spa instead.
I don't think I would go back to Revive, as the treatment rooms are not well appointed, loud, and two of the receptionists were rude. I also didn't like waiting for at least 15 minutes (when the place was nearly empty) two of the three times I was there.
