DON'T BUY A GEL MATTRESS – We bought a gel mattress about 4 years ago and it's a nightmare! The gel broke down and now we have two "sink holes" that we sleep in. The company we bought it from closed (gee, I wonder why!) and we contacted a store in Utah that still sold these terrible mattresses. They wanted $500.00 for us to ship it to them and then if they didn't agree that the "sinkage" was severe enough, we had to pay another $500.00 to ship it back to us! These mattress warranties are a joke people! We paid $4000.00 for this stupid bed! We were so duped! If you are thinking of buying a gel mattress - DON'T!
Helped us until we found the perfect mattress – We had a wonderful experience with both Dave and Jimmy. We originally bought our bed from the MyComfort on State St. They didn't give us the right kind of bed for our needs but before they could make it right they closed down. I called the West Jordan store and Dave and Jimmy went out of their way to make sure we were 100% satisfied. We explained our needs in a bed and they let us try out two beds to make sure we got just what we needed. They personally delivered the bed and set it up for us and kept every appointment and commitment. We felt this was going above and beyond, considering we didn't even buy the bed from their store. Their customer service to us was superb! We came out with a sweet deal on this bed and have been sleeping comfortably on it for a year. I highly recommend shopping at the Jordan Landing MyComfort.
NOT WHAT IT SEEMS – Normally I don't take the time to write reviews, but if I can stop one more person from having buyers remorse like myself then it's worth it. DON'T BUY THESE MATTRESSES!!! Go to the original Intellibed store and steer clear of MyComfort. My husband and I purchased our mattress in April 2008. We rotated it on a regular basis and I also purchased the waterproof mattress cover with it as well. It was great, it was comfy and it improved our quality of sleep. THEN....about 4 months ago we started noticing that we were tossing and turning again throughout the night and when we would wake up we felt like we were in sink holes. I started to find myself sleeping on the edge of the mattress or in the middle, if my husband hadn't beat me to it! The gel portions in the mattress, which lay between the edge and the center of the mattress have failed, they collapse after an hour of sleeping on them. Wow! 30 YEAR WARRANTY? What a complete disappointment and after reading the other reviews I'm not even going to bother trying to return it. Do not buy these mattresses!
business experience is worse than the bed which is awful – The whole my comfort experience has been a nightmare. I paid $4800 for a mycomfort gel bed and it ruined my back. I have been a year trying to get something done about the return but I all have gotten is lies and avoidance. It does not matter where you buy the bed, the company is all the same everywhere. They avoid your phone calls so you have to go into the store everytime you want to talk with someone, and then the people in the store cannot ever do anything. We would spend an entire day just trying to catch Jimmy or Dave and then they would tell us that a replacement bed would be delivered in a week and we would hang out all night waiting and could never get anyone to answer at the store. They promised us a replacement double gel and we never got it in 9 months. We got a latex gel bed that we did not like the moment we slept on it. They promised us that Natura World would honor the warranty and we could replace the gel bed with any other bed in their line, another lie. BeWare of Natura World as well.The only thing that works at this business is their caller id.
worst shopping experince ever – To agree with the other reviewers Dave is the worst. I only TT Jimmy a couple times but he made promises that didn't happen. I had been thinking about giving this bed a try for a couple years before I bought it and was excited to try it. I'm 270lbs and my circulation gets cut off in my arms and hips when sleeping on my side. ----I finally decided to try it. I didn't ask about the return policy I didn't think it would be an issue but Dave told me if for any reason i didn't like the bed between 30 - 60 days I could return it and it would be maybe $200 $300. -----First off I didn't get it the 3-5 business days as i was told. Jimmy promised to waive the shipping (never happened) after almost 3 weeks ups finally drops it off in my drive way while I'm at work having my kid sign for it. -----Then I absolutely tortured my self for 30 day on that piece of junk. Either my feet and head sat up higher in the bed and S T R E T C H E D my midsection painfully bad or my hips and shoulders sunk down in arching my back very painfully bad. I got the latex gel overlay system. which should not have left impressions like memory foam but when I'd wake up in pain in the middle of the night get a drink stretch and go back to bed 1/2 hour later a body impression would still be there. ----There box spring system was very flimsy. the springs in the actual mattress were alway twanging and making noises every time I moved. the whole bed was just cheap garbage that with pillows and delivery and everything I spent $2500 on. -----when I finally took it back in PERFECT condition. I got stuck with almost a $1,000.00 bill. Dave said that corporate in canada made that decision and that I could not talk to anyone who actually made the decision but he could not do anything about it that was the best he could do. They charged me 15% of a fake full retail price of everything. They said the pillows were none returnable and they were given at a discount with the bed and now had to be charged at full price so double the 150 I paid. -----I also ordered a mattress protector and to seat cushions @ 110. I NEVER received them. They said they would reimburse me for those a few times but never happened. -----I financed through wellsfargo financial when I called them to ask them to charge back the items so i could resolve the matter with the store they refused. -----I asked Dave on my last conversation with him if he stilled told customers it would only be a couple hundred dollars if returning a bed.... He choked clearing his throat, averted his gaze, and in a whispered voice said no he tells them several hundred dollars. (I'd like to see that happen.... whatever) -----I know this review is long but this is a condensed version. There was a lot of conversation and LIES by DAVE that would triple the length of this review. -----What can you do???? if I don't want my credit destroyed I pay the account. They should include some complimentary Vaseline with purchase..
my comfort disaster – I never write reviews, but I would be of dis-service to not share my experience with My Comfort. While the bed may or may not be a fit for you, the experience is terrible.
1. My Comfort of W. J. represented that the "ortho-gel" was the same product as their premium blue gel beds (aka, intelli gel, intelligel, intelligel,) If they don't mention the premium line, ask them about it. They are two complete different beds. Orthogel is inferior to the premium blue gel (similar to intelligel). After checking out the intelli-bed, I would recoomend you look at them. I will disclose I bought a simmons due to the higher cost. You also get a better product though.
2. If they say they have a bed in stock, beware. It took use over 30 days to get our bed. They repeadtedly scheduled delivery and never show up.
3. Worst customer service and totally unresponsive.
4. The ortho-gel is not worth the cost. You can find much more comfortable beds out there for less. Again, mis-represented facts we common place. Please beware. We love it! – Jimmy:
My husband and I splurged on an Ortho-Gel bed two months ago. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical of the claim that the bed would make a difference in my quality of sleep. Well, 60 nights have proven you right. The Ortho-Gel bed DOES make a difference. I used to wake a couple of times each night searching for a more comfortable position. I thought that was going to be the norm and seriously doubted that the Ortho-Gel bed would provide both support and comfort. I now sleep through the night with no struggling to find a comfortable position. My husband has back problems. He, too, has found he sleeps better. He also finds that he doesn't roll over as much during the night and, there for, gets a better night's sleep. We originally purchased a mattress with medium firmness. My husband felt it didn't give him enough back support and called your store. Your immediate response was, "let's get you a firm mattress. We'll have it delivered next week."WOW. Not only does the mattress live up to it's promises, your service does as well.

Thank you guys. – Lisa and I have experienced various sleeping problems- arthritis in legs and arms plus back problems for over 50 years, so getting a good night's sleep is often difficult. After trying many different beds over the years, we purchased our first Ortho-Gel Sleep System in April, 1999. It gave such relief to the tossing and turning and helped both me and my wife wake rested each morning. We immediately bought a SECOND Ortho-Gel Sleep System for one of our guest rooms. We enjoyed the beds so much that we updated the master bedroom with the purchase of a THIRD Ortho-Gel Sleep System- just so both guest rooms now had Ortho-Gel Sleep Systems.
Our daughter suffers from some of the same back issues. After spending just one night on the Otho-Gel Sleep System in our guest room, she and her husband got into the act and bought an Ortho-Gel System of their own- which they love.
Just this week, we decided to try out the newest models and have now purchased our FOURTH Ortho-Gel Sleep System, the Ortho-Gel Double model. We obviously can't say enough good things about how much we love having Ortho-Gel in our family. So, in case you're counting, we now are the proud owners of FIVE Ortho-Gel Sleep Systems- but we do have more children, so who knows what the final tally will be.
