Bye-Bye Big Salon !!!. I am so glad I found Nancy at Shampoo Bar!! She really rescued me. I had been a loyal client at a big fancy expensive salon for many years, but I was getting bored with my hair. And to make matters worse, I was having serious reactions to the hair color products they were using. Since I started going to Nancy, I really love my hair. She gave me absolutely the best haircut and foil I have ever had. Nancy is truly an artist and she takes so much pride in doing a perfect job just for you. My hair is so shiny and soft now and my scalp doesn't itch any more, thanks to her non-toxic products. Nancy is a very experienced professional, yet her prices are reasonable. I'm so happy I found her!

Always leaving happy!.
I admit, I tend to salon "hop" never staying in one place for too long because either I felt like I wasn't listened to, or the stylist didn't have any creative ideas, was too nervous to take any chances, or they jumped right in and took too many. I guess that makes me a tough customer.
I've been going to see Nancy for nearly 3 years now! She always has great suggestions and is honest with what she thinks is or isn't possible a for my hair type. I've received a ton of compliments on both my cuts and color from friends and even total strangers. I never hesitate to refer friends who are picky like me.
I've got somewhat curly hair with a mind of its own, and I always leave Shampoo Bar looking like I'm ready for a hot date! That's why I try to time my nights out with salon days. :-) I always walk out of there happy ... and with healthy hair.

I am so happy to read reviews like this one! It does my heart good to know my hard work is appreciated! I am happy to work with "picky" people because no one is more picky than me! I totally get it. I hold myself to very high standards. That is why I opened Shampoo Bar Organic Salon because I wanted to be able to pick the environment, the products and the people I work with. I also want everyone to walk out of my salon looking and feeling beautiful and like they should go on a hot date! That is what makes my job so much fun! I don't know which one of my people wrote this, but thank you! You made my evening!

a Diamond in the rough.... I've been to Seattle's top salons for years looking for the right colorist to take care of my hair & FINALLY! Nancy @ Shampoo Bar is the right choice for so many reasons! My favorites though: she took her time from beginning to end of the process; she really thought about which all-natural, non-toxic products would work best for my hair type (a little course on top & fine on the bottom); she chose exactly the right areas to highlight and worked with great care. I love being a brunette! Nancy heard this and took my hair from being overly processed and flat to having rich, beautiful & complex tones. And it's SOFT! I'm a huge fan of Nancy's - she's a color expert through & through - and I'm so glad she's in Seattle!

Great Hairdresser. Nancy had her work cut out for her. I went in wanting her to strip my black hair that was suppose to be non-permanent 28 shampoos that I did myself. Totally not the case it lasted forever! So after trying to wait it out I had Nancy strip it which is a task but she was very patient through it and it turned out wonderfully without drying and ruining my hair (must be her organic products she uses) . I highly recommend her.

I am happy to help :-). My best advice-don't make your haircolor darker than your original color and then think it will be easy to change it! It is not so easy-especially if your hair is blonde! It is a testament to the great non-toxic products I use that do a great job and leave your hair soft and silky! Stacey, we have been through a lot of changes and its been fun! Hidden Gem. Lovely little salon. Nancy was so nice and got me in last minute before an event I wanted to look nice for. She is very intuitive and understood the look I had in mind. Very knowledgable in her craft. Thanks so much Nancy! No more cutting my hair (badly) myself, Ill be back for sure!

Amazing place for haircut!. Nancy is extremely talented! I went in with the same haircut I've had for a few years now and wanted something totally different. She obliged and I ended up with an amazing haircut that made me look edgy! I love it. The products are all natural and they smell wonderful. Not like a chemical salon smell. I would recommend this salon to anyone!

The best color and cut in Seattle and it's green!!. I was looking for and organic salon after having my dark hair brutally bleached by another organic salon. I was at a local restaurant and saw a card for Shampoo Bar. From the moment I walked into Nancy's salon, almost 3 three years ago, I knew I had found a great salon. I was warmly welcomed and pampered and then was given a great haircut and beautiful foil. I walked out of there looking beautiful again as I do after every appointment. Nancy always gives me a beautiful cut and color that allows me to shine. Nancy is talented and skilled with color and keeps up with current trends. I enjoy arriving early for my appointments to see her wonderful work on others. She has an artistic eye and is very intuitive about exactly the right color and cut specifically tailored to the client. Her products are top of the line and non toxic. Check her out.. You will be glad you did.

Awesome Service for a hair salon. Nancy is one of the greatest hair stylist that I have gone to whenever I needed a hair cut or color. The products that she uses are all organic and the hair cuts are very trendy and up to date. I've been to her salon when I wanted a layered cut for my long hair. Recently I wanted a shorter cut and she did a superb job in getting me the hair cut that I wanted. Nancy does not rush with the cuts. You feel relaxed and you know that you are in good hands when you are there. This hair salon is not for those who want a quick run to the salon. Nancy really takes her time because she wants the cut and color to be exactly what you have in mind and/or what looks best on you. Overall Shampoo Bar is a great salon. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm.

a suburb color that is easy on your hair. Your hair will feel and move like silk strands when you leave...ahhh!

Absolutely Amazing!!!. There is nothing I can say that can explain my experience at Nancy's salon. It was a few hours before my 21st birthday dinner and I was in dire need of a haircut. Nancy was sweet enough to squeeze me in after a color and cut she had. She deep conditioned my hair since I had to wait for my haircut. She was so friendly and the products she uses are amazing. My hair turned out so good.. it felt so much lighter and softer. Later on that night all my friends said I looked like a rockstar.. and it was all thanks to Nancy. I will definitely return again for another cut and next time a color. I am glad to have found such an amazing hairdresser so close to home!
