cool store across the street from Urth cafe – I bought my Nirve there, they really have the coolest bikes around. The staff is very nice, not pushy and they give you good advice and help you. That's were the celebrities buy their bikes (like David Beckham!) as it is across the street from Urth cafe on Main Street. They even have an online store and parking in the rear. High end bikes, beach cruisers, even bikes for the little ones - go there with your family and you'll be all served perfectly well! Plus: the owners and the mechanics all know what they are talking about. You can also go downhill biking with them. Best bike shop ever!
Great shop – Well I'm a bike fanatic and so are they. I Love that place, bought 2 bikes there (Globe by Specialized and Bianchi Camaleone) and go there for air and service all the time.
Friendly guys, they give me 10% discount on everything.
Famous bike shop – I go to Bike Attack all the time with my girlfriends to check out the newest bikes. They are close to Urth caffe and you can see a lot of celebrities in there. The guys who work there are extremely nice and we like to chat with them. I bought my Linus bike at their store and they always give me free service, like brake adjustments.
Recommended – I bought several bikes from Bike Attack Venice in the past and later went to their Santa Monica location, which is bigger and has a wider variety of bikes of all kind. I like the guys there and find them very helpful. They can be quite busy on week ends, but they still find the time to help me out. I appreciate this. This is not a corporation but rather a family owned shop, all of the guys are real riders (some race). They know their sh...
Good bike shop! – I go in there at least once a month to see Eric, the owner and talk with him about the newest bikes and racing.
They help you out even if you bought your bike elsewhere.
If seen them doing minor repairs for free. I bought my Intense Tracer there and I love it.
Good service department, sweet bikes! – Full of good bikes, great deals and suuuuper friendly people. The only down side is that it can be very crowdy on summer weekends. The best is that they can order almost anything for you within a couple of days and their prices are very reasonable. Say hi to Frank, the best mechanic in town!
Rip Off Beware! – I recently went in to the Santa Monica location for a routine brake job on my front brake. Half an hour later i am told and shown that neither brakes work or are fixable. Immediately after one of the "owners" tries to sell me brakes for "the best price." The prices he gave me were almost $200 more than most online bike mail orders, so I tell them I will hold off. Just then, the mechanic says "...uh let me try something I saw on the internet." All of the sudden the brakes work again WOW! I am out $40 for the mechanic time and my bike is exactly how it was when I brought it in. I ended up fixing the problem myself. I was referred to this shop by a few friends whom I have all told never to come here again. These guys are ridiculous, will act like your friend and will rip you off. My guess is that they are used to wealthy people coming in and spending anything no questions asked. I would not recommend this shop to anyone!
Drove all the way from East Hollywood to buy from these guys – I was referred to this place by a co-worker and I was looking for a quality bike at a good price. Eric from Bike Attack was very helpful in giving me information and wasn't pushy in trying to sell me something right away. I went to 5 other stores and decided to go back to Eric at Bike Attack because of his honesty and the great prices.
Eric, if you're reading this, Salamat Pare! Love the new KHS TC-150.
good guys, good bikes, good service – I go to Bike Attack since they opened their smaller store in Venice 1999. They always treat me as a friend rather than a customer. The guys at Bike Attack love bikes, everybody there (even the owners) ride bikes and are part of several racing teams. They don't try to sell you something you don't need- or you can't afford. Their free lifetime service is the best service plan any bike shop offers and it is real.
Good, Solid Bike Shop! – My wife Gloria and I have made the journey from the San Fernando Valley into Santa Monica just to come to Bike Attack, and it's worth driving past all our local bike shops to get there. We've recieved good advice, quality service, and feel we've gotten our money's worth and more.
This isn't a deep discount shop -- so if you're a deal-weenie, go somewhere else and take your chances -- but the stuff they have is very good quality, and the advice they have given us has turned out to be very sound every time.
The shop is small, but packed to the gills with great stuff!
Well worth checking out!
