Not so much ! – Went here for husband's birthday breakfast/brunch. Everything was fine, breakfast was the typical FB breakfast, served in a timely manner and hot. Server was good, no complaints on service or food. The complaint was that we saw the busser drop his wiping towel on the floor, pick it up and continue wiping the table down. We told our server, saw her tell the manager, and NOTHING. Neither he nor the busser came back to that table to re-wipe with a clean towel. So sad, because it's convenient for us to go for breakfast or lunch, but we just can't tolerate that slack attitude in a restaurant of this caliber. I know some readers think I shouldn't be so uptight about this, but there is no excuse for the manager to not make it right and re-wipe that table. If the manager is this slack on something the diners CAN see, what else is going on that we CAN'T see? Just no reason for this.
Breakfast – Great atmosphere and food. A lot of food to choose from on the menu. Excellent service at all locations. This place caters to a more buppy, urban, type crowd.
Maybe it's just this location? – Since moving to Atlanta from NY, I have grwon to love Flying Busicuit for a late morning brunch but at times have passed on it not wanting to drive down to Inman Park. Was happy when the Midtown location arrived and estatic when the W. Paces Ferry Rd. location finally opened. Sadly, I agree with the other reviews on this particular location. Stll love Flying Buscuit and everytime I have out of town visitors, it's a must that we do brunch there, however, it will be at the flagship cafe or Piedmont Ave locations where there may be a little wait, but the food is always on point, the service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is just real cool and welcoming.
not eatable – Wife ordered oatmeal pancake and I had omelet, both were so bad could not eat. Store named biscuit but biscuit was so hard like 3 days old could not even bite. I was so mad to wife she wanted to go there.
What a wasted 20 bucks and time. Waitress didnot even asked why we left everything when she saw our plates. Whole thing was a bad.
I won't go back to that location – The service at this location was not good at all. I waited to get greeted and didn't get a menu or even an hello. The server at the bar happened to be very rude and did not even acknowledge me untill a customer who came after I did, asked the server if she had helped me yet. I spoke with the manager and I was moved to a table but the damage had been done. With no true rectification for the bad service, I WILL NOT BE BACK .................
Sanitation Issues – Since it opened, I've been going to the Northside Parkway Flying Biscuit almost weekly for my fix of their Coca-cola glazed salmon. The entree is absolutely amazing, and so far, the service has been consistently good at this location.
That was until a few weeks ago. After dinner one evening, I had a bit of a stomach issue for the next day or so. It wasn't too severe, and I didn't think much of it until we went back to the Biscuit for Saturday brunch. While waiting for a table, I happened to glance over at the sanitation score. To my surprise, the Flying Biscuit had an 82% score at this location. According to the posted sheet, they were cited for keeping or storing spoiled food and for storing raw fish at almost 50-degrees (safe storage is under 40 degrees).
For a brand new restaurant in a new location, an 82 isn't exactly a great start. Don't get me wrong; the food here is quite good. But until this location can bring up its score I won't be back.
Small place and biscuit not so hot. – Believe or not, their biscuits are not so good. They were very dry and luke warm, and eggs were over cooked. We are going back to OK across the road. Sorry....
Editorial Review – Family-friendly chain is famous for it's heavenly titular biscuits and out-the-door brunch lines .
