I’m a die-hard football fan but for quite some time I couldn’t find a great place to watch the games at. This is my spot on Sundays. They have a bunch of TVs that are always playing the games, and I’ve gotten to know the management so they make sure to play my favorite teams whenever possible. Not only that, they have awesome food and beer that makes watching the games at the bar way better than it’d ever be at home. My new football buddies are those at Johnny Foxes.
Wednesday nights are reserved for my friends and I at Johnny Foxes for the .50¢ wings. There is hardly anywhere else where I can get a great mix of food and drinks, without spending an arm and a leg in this area. Not only are the prices fair, but the food tastes great as well. I’m a big fan of the Asian Hot wings!
Stopped in at this place the other day and I have to say that it was actually not bad. I had a burger and some beers with some friends. A couple of my friends also had a burger and we all agreed that our burgers were really tasty. I really enjoyed the large selection of beers. I usually do not make it a habit of drinking more than two beers with any meal but my first beer was ice cold and after enjoying the next one I decided to have another. Our server was great, told us some funny stories. I would go here again.
Had lunch at Johnny Foxes this afternoon and it was absolutely excellent!! I didn’t even know that on Wednesdays they have specials on all kinds of tacos. Fish tacos, pulled pork tacos, and regular tacos. I have never had catfish tacos before so it was a bit of an adventure. The inside of Johnny Foxes was really rad. Cool stuff on the walls, an awesome looking bar with lots of beers on tap. The service was ok, they took my order well enough. I would definitely go back another Wednesday for tacos.
I cannot get enough of this place. They have really great burgers and fries. I know that sounds typical, but these are seriously the best I have been able to find in New York. Both are always cooked to perfection with the perfect combination of toppings. They were great with the drinks too. They were just as strong as they should have been. Some bars really aren’t good at giving you the best value for your buck. Johnny Foxes is.
I went to Johnny Foxes NYC for happy hour a couple weeks ago with a group of six co-workers. I liked that the place was not very crowded in spite of the fact that everything was reasonably priced. The drink specials were awesome and there was a lot of space for our group. Those of us who ordered food were very happy with our choices. The service here was really great. Our server was really friendly and quick to take our orders. Plus, I have to say that the lack of annoying music blasting was refreshing.
Rude, Obnoxious, Provincial...Yeah, that covers it – My wife and I wandered into this place to escape a snowstorm. Unfortunately the bartender thought it was more important to let his two obnoxious friends take up four stools in the front.
When we politely protested the bartender said "you have to go now."
I'm sure if we were two underage blondes instead of a married couple in our 30s we would have been welcomed with open arms (and, most likely, sleazy pickup lines).
Bad brunch experience...every time – First, I will say that this place is decent if you want to watch the game and have a few beers. However, don't bother ordering food! Brunch is specifically awful. Every time I've had brunch here, it takes 45+ minutes for the food to come out. And, they've gotten my order wrong every single time. I don't even order complicated things! The food is far from fantastic. I'm done coming here for anything edible.

Whatever you do, DON'T go for brunch. – Usually the food is good here. Granted I'd only ever eaten here for dinner. I went to brunch recently here and have to say it was one of the worst meals I've ever had. The OJ was some sort of sugary watery fake drink and they even put ice cubes in it - it was repulsive. I ordered the french toast, which was "encrusted" with something. I swear they took it from a freezer back, threw it in a deep fryer and then served it. It didn't even taste, or look like bread. I couldn't eat much of it even though I was starving.
