LOVE SALON CHATEAU – When I moved to Baton Rouge from Lafayette, I had no idea where to get my hair done. I had a bad experience at another salon that I will not name. Luckily, Salon Chateau had a coupon on groupon and I found them by accident. I set up an appointment with Meagan and have been a fan ever since! I was so lucky to stumble upon them! I love the way she cuts and colors and styles my hair. Meagan always listens to what I want and does a great job with my hair! She is always on time and so professional! All of the other girls there are friendly and professional too! I have reccommended Salon Chateu to several of my friends and they have loved it also! I am so glad that I found this Salon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never Fear... for GREAT Stylists are near!! – Being a woman, hair is a huge part of my image. I am very picky about who touches my hair, much less cuts or colors it. From every day AMAZING looks to Pageants, Weddings and Photo Shoots... I put COMPLETE trust in the crew at Salon Chateau!! Not only are they all talented and booming with creativity, they also give you that automatic feeling of FAMILY. They get to know their customers so that each experience is not a job, but an opportunity. They ask you questions to be sure they fufill your requests to the best of ALL abilities! Since I have been a client of Salon Chateau, I have changed my entire look more than 5 times and I have loved every single look even more than the last. I've never left the building less than completely satisfied. Hair Appointments are no longer filled with anxiety, but with excitement!!! Every woman deserves to feel that revived feeling after their hair appointment-- and that is exactly what Salon Chateau gives you!!
Have Complete Confidence In Using Salon Chateau-Great Salon! – I have lived in BR for the majority of my life but modeled throughout the south and midwest for well over 30 years - so to say that I have seen 100's of stylists and been in an endless number of salons is an understatement. Even though I am no longer modeling I am still definitely what one would call hyper-particular about salon atmosphere/professionalism balanced with sincere/friendly hair stylist, services offered, fair/reasonable pricing and accurate execution of services requested (on a consistent basis). I am so particular I even do a pre-appointment visit to the salon as a preventative measure. That being said, I have been a client of Salon Chateau since 2010. I waited until I had had a considerable number of appointments to leave this feedback because as I stated I consider consistency of services to be important. First and foremost, the owner is beyond personable and professional-along with being sincerely concerned that all of her customers are happy with their services. I have no doubt that if I was ever "unhappy: with a style-color-or service that the owner, Memory, would do everything she could do to correct the problem. A reminder to all consumers: It is our responsibility as customers to convey to both the salon owner and stylist alike when we are not happy with services rendered. I have not had one single complaint since 2010. Secondly,my hairstylist is one of the most attentive, sweetest and excellent stylist that I have ever had. If you are not happy-she's not happy! She has kept herself aware of changes in current hairstyles, learned how to execute latest trends and has accurately executed every one of my requests to perfection. I have never seen her nor any of the other hairstylists being anything but professional. The only conversations I have ever witnessed going on during business hours are between hairstylists and their clients and the normal sociable greetings when a client enters the salon. I expect my stylist to be a great beautician but never a magician. I am keenly aware and realistic of what my hair can/cannot do. I am very thorough in my requests if I have a particular style, color or cut in mind. I explain every detail to my stylist then ask my stylist to discuss the possibilities of execution-applicable to my haircut, length and texture. I know it is my responsibility (even if I have to schedule a pre-appointment consult) to convey my thoughts and get professional feedback. I would never expect my hairstylist to read my mind with a minimal discussion of my expectancies. I have seen it countless times before in a wide array of professional relationships-people think they are clear communicators but are not. I trust my stylist at Salon Chateau and the training that she pursued as a professional and that the owner has required all of her stylist to have. So much so....that when it came to making some important style/cut decisions about overall length and bang-style. I told my stylist to look at my face shape and I would leave it up to her-to use her professional judgement. Often more times than not - we think we know what looks good on us - as far as hairstyles/lengths - when in fact we are walking around in need of a serious hair intervention. Since 2010 I have never had that fear because I am 100% confident with my stylist and salon selection. I hope if you are in search of a full-service salon-you will consider Salon Chateau. I have been beyond satisfied since 2010 and have been referring all my girlfriends, family members and those that compliment my hairstyle to this salon. I would never refer people-much less leave a city/statewide accessible review for them if I didn't have complete faith in their service, competency and professionalism
Baton Rouge's Best Hair Salon – Salon Chateau..... What a wonderful atmosphere & staff!
Everyone there is absolutely fantastic, friendly, & what a clean & neat place, I love it! It's so relaxing, & I always feel refreshed & ready to finish my day of work.
My hairstylist there has also been very understanding of exactly what I want, & does such a great job, she makes me feel special & important every time I go there!
If you want to look great, confident, & refreshed, then get over to Salon Chateau right away!
Salon Chateau is my Favorite Place!!! – I have been seeing my stylist for years and absolutely love this place! My stylist has moved here almost a year ago and I love this place. It is homey and comfortable and everyone there is always warm and welcoming. I have never been unsatisfied with ANY service and the owner Memory is all about customer service and I am sure she tried her best to make you happy.
All the stylists are young and professional and enjoy what they do for a living. I won't go anywhere else and I would recommend ANY friend of mine to Salon Chateau.
Avoid Salon Chateau like it is the plague... – Let me preface this by saying that my hair is very important to me, and I'd been growing it out for over 2 years. It was a big decision when I chose to cut it, and and my best friend and I decided to go to Salon Chateau. We went in and I had maybe 20 pictures of the bangs and length I wanted, and my hairstylist looked at 3 of them. Since I felt like she wasn't really paying attention to me, I carefully explained to her what I was trying to avoid. As she was cutting my hair, she literally did not stop talking to the stylist next to her who was complaining about her sister for the entirety of the hour. At one point, another male client came to her station and leaned over me to look at her extentions. If I had any tangles in my hair, she just ripped them out and laughed it off. And then came the bangs. She literally gave me the exact bangs I described that I did not want. She also left my ends uneven. I ended up crying in her chair because I was so upset, and she said that I would get used to it. It was a nightmare.
My best friend who was having her hair dyed told the girl she wanted to get back to her natural color, and her stylist made it no more than a shade darker. While she is more complacent and didn't mind, it certainly wasn't what she asked for, considering she was going in for corrective coloring.
As the owner of Salon Chateau, I am truly sorry that you were not satisfied with your service. My main concern is happy clients and I take it very seriously that you were not happy with your service. We honestly have never had a complaint in the year and a half that I have owned the salon. We are truly blessed to have the stylists that we have. They are all very talented and professional and I am so sorry that you did not have a wonderful experience because that is what we all strive for. Again, my deepest apologies and best of luck to you and your new stylist in the future.
