My second time eating here. Food was amazing tonight. Always good. Always authentic. I am starting to eat a lot of Indian food, nice that there are some unique dishes here to try. But even the traditional chutney etc. is so tasty and fresh.

Indian Coke is complimentary with the buffet. I really loved the rice pancakes. The vegetable dishes were great. The mint chutney and tamarind sauces were abundant. They had little bowls so that you can dip into everything without mixing everything on your plate. Fish curry was ok. The chicken curry was very spicy - YUM. I really loved the coconut flavored vegetables and chicken tandoori. The buffet included fried bananas and varieties of rice. My favorite were the potatoes, the kind used for masala dosa. I also loved the mango chutney, very special. The customer service is excellent. Everyone is in big smiles.

I love the hospitality of Mayura. From there I learned about the difference between southern and northern Indian cuisine ... Weekend buffet is about $14 for lunch but the good thing is that beer is complimentary with this price.

More selection than normal Indian buffet I have been to - I really like the Veggie stew made with eggplant, green beans, okra, potatoes etc. For cold appetizer they have salad with yogurt curry and raita as well as kheer. And did I mention the fish curry?

They also have a pretty good wine selection - I was even able to find riesling here

Newport Beach Tax Pro

- Was referred to them by one of my co-workers and couldn't be more pleased. We just moved to Newport Beach and needed a new tax person. Very personable and pleasant to deal with.

- We live in Newport Bluffs. They are conveniently located for us (near the fairgrounds) and provided excellent service in a professional office. Our fee was slightly higher than what we paid our former tax professional and absolutely worth it.

Degraded over the years – This place was good when they started. Not anymore..their dosas taste like paper. The buffet dishes remain the same everyday, the taste too:(

I wish they re-do their buffet recipes and stick to their original standards. I'm probably not going back until then!!

The Best Indian Restaurant in Los Angeles – I was visiting los Angeles for 3 weeks and tried food in several Indianrestaurants and I found Mayura is the best in all respects. food quality is superb , very clean and service really amazing. I am impressed by the variety and authentic taste of the food. I had seven dinners and 6 buffets at Mayura. Unlimited dosas are served with buffet and there are so many choices for different spice levels. Every time when I visited this place I saw good Indian crowd there which is a testimony of the greatness of the place.

Great Restaurant – I love this restaurant. I ate there on Friday, Aug. 29, 8:30 PM. Food was delicious. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala. The service is very friendly and professional. The prices are cheap, and the portions are huge. I have never written an online restaurant review in my life, but I liked this place so much, that I wanted to share.

southern indian food in a strip mall – mayura claims to specialize in keralan food (southern india) although the menu contains food from various regions of india.

there is a weekend buffet for $11.95, which gives you a variety of dishes that i cannot comment on. see, i did not go for the buffet... my friend did.

i went for the spinach masala dosa - which was a crepe with potatoes inside. there was some crunchiness to the crepe that i enjoyed, especially when dipped into one of the many sauces made of coconut milk. the serving was huge and can be shared with 2 or 3 people.

i also ordered the special kerala chicken biryani. again, the serving was huge. there were a lot of spices in there that made it so flavorful -- cinnamon, cardamon, etc. i enjoyed this dish.

for dessert, we shared a ras malai, which is made of cheese soaked in some milk and flavored with cardamon. i am not partial to indian desserts so i find this just ok. my friend thought that there was too much cardamon.

overall, i liked mayura and my friend and i agreed that we would have to come back and try other dishes.
