For the past 15 years I went to the same veterinarian; so when I was in the process of moving to Baton Rouge, finding a new veterinarian was a very stressful idea. I researched many clinics in the Baton Rouge area, and Coursey Blvd. Animal Hospital had really great reviews, and seemed very personal so I decided to take my two kitties there.

Dr. Bob and the staff at Coursey Blvd. Animal Hospital made it so easy for me! They relieved me of all my worries. They even had my vaccination history from my old clinic faxed to them before my appt. They were able to see me the same day I called. Then I find out they can even board my cats for me when I go out of town.

They always recognize me when I walk in which is so welcoming. I've been going here for a little over a year now and I can't stop saying nice things about this hospital. They have a great veterinarian, great staff, and a great boarding facility.

Thank you so much,

Claire, Milo, and Delilah

DOWN HOME CARE! Everytime that I drop one of my three dogs off at Dr. Bob's office I feel like I have left them in the care of family. When I walk in the office, they know me and my pet by name. They are so well cared for and loved at Coursey Blvd. Animal Hospital. Dr. Bob has a proactive approach to their care, always thinking ahead and anticipating their every need. The staff is extremely courteous and knowledgable about procedures and very willing to take the extra time to explain things so that I understand everything involved. I would never use another vet and I have recommended them to all my friends.

Have been going to Dr. Bob for almost two years now (both of my dogs life), and LOVE him!

Just recently went on vacation when we got a call that our dog sitter found a stray puppy that had come very close to getting run over by an 18 wheeler. We immediately called Dr. Bob and had our sitters bring her in the very next morning to get checked out and get all of her shots. Unfortunately, we found out that she had parvo almost two days later. Rather than insisting to put the puppy down because of the extremely high chance that she would not make it, Dr. Bob decided to put her on medication and try to fight this deadly disease. After a week in his office, she was fully healed! So incredibly thankful for not only him, but also his wonderful and caring staff that kept us up to date every second she was there.

Every time we bring our puppies in, they always greet us by name. Makes me feel like family. Would absolutely recommend to anyone needing a vet!

For years I've been taking my 2 dogs to the big fancy vet hospitals that always catch your eye. I've since learned that was a huge mistake. After yet another poor experience and getting way overcharged, I decided to look for a new vet. I found Coursey Blvd Animal Hospital, and was immediately impressed when the vet Dr. Bob answered the phone. I had a TON of questions, but he patiently answered them all. I made my appt and was impressed AGAIN when I was taken immediately in for my appt. No wait at all! The experience was so personal, and Dr. Bob and his staff were so friendly! (Dr. Bob even trimmed my dogs nails personally! Haha) When I thought the experience couldn't get any better, I found out my dogs yearly shots were $40 cheaper than the vet hospital I used before. I came in a few weeks later to board my dogs (didn't need a reservation!) and they recognized me and my babies instantly! I hope I don't ever have to move out of the area because nothing beats a veterinary hospital that treats you like family.

Thank you Dr. Bob, Kristen, and Amanda! Cinnamon and Sugar will be seeing y'all again soon!

I truly think Dr Bob is the best veterinarian in Baton Rouge. I have lived and worked in Baton Rouge all of my adult life.I have used Coursey Blvd Animal Hospital for approx 12-14 years. I have used other vets in the past in this area .Dr. Bob has treated 4 cats and 3 dogs of mine in that time frame. I feel like I can trust his care, knowledge and understanding when it comes to the needs of the pet and their owners. My wife and I just had a rough month with 2 of our pets. He really helped us work through it with our older cat and dog and both are doing very well. The older dog had a stroke 2 years ago that he treated and we feel like we have had 2 more years and counting than we thought was possible. Our cat is difficult at best and know he has treated her wll and she is doing fine. Dr Bob and his staff are what you look for in a veterinary hospital.

Thanks Doc and Staff !

Best vet in baton rouge – Dr. Bob is awesome I trust him with all three of my pets. He has been my vet for 10 years now. This week he has really shown how great he is. My beloved cat sugar became very ill Sunday night / Monday early morning. She was not responding. I couldn't get her to move or blink she had yellow color In her mouth and the inside of her ears. So right at 7:00am I called Dr. Bob office. And his asst. Devin call him and told him about sugar's condition. He meet me up there within 30 mins. Now today after he treated her she was up purring, moving her legs, tail and even meow a couple of times. This was the 1st time one of my pets have been this sick. I knew he would be good to her because I worked for him in 2007 and in 2008. And I watched him do some amazing things for the animals that come through his doors.

Thanks Dr.

The BEST vet for your beloved pet! – I trust Dr. Bob with the love of my life, Sunnie- my 1 year old sweet puppy. I refer all my friends and family to the best vet in Baton Rouge- DR. BOB MARSHALL!!!

I've only been working for Dr. Bob for 2 months now, but I've been a veterinary technician for 6 years at other clinics. I have 100% trust that Dr. Bob has never and will never do anything to any pet that a client (or Katie/myself- the two techs who love your pets as our own) would be uncomfortable with. Dr. Bob Marshall is the most ethical, knowledgable, kind, caring, and safest veterinarians and men I have had the pleasure of working for and will have the pleasure of continuing such work with him. Dr. Bob, Katie and myself (and of course Joey and Steven-- who take care of our loving boarding pets!!) love each and every pet and client who walk through our doors, and I can promise you, we take care of your babies the way we take care of our own.

Happy Healthy Cocker Spaniel – A few weeks ago our 9 year old Cocker Spaniel was rushed to the emergency vet. We were advised to take her immediately to her primary vet when they opened the next morning @ 7am. The next morning, she was at Coursey Blvd Animal Hospital where the staff treated her as one of their own. She had emergency surgery and spent 3 days recuperating in the best care possible. We were called numerous times daily to be updated on her condition, and was allowed to visit when we wanted. Dr. Marshall literally saved our pups life. She is not only a member of our family, but the vet staff as well. We have been called periodically to by the staff and the vet to check on her progress and to make sure all is going well since she was released. We have never had a bad experience with this vet, and always receive the best care possible. Everything that is done is explained thoroughly, and all precautions are taken when dealing with the safety and health of our pet. I want to thank Dr. Bob and his staff again for all you guys have done and it is greatly appreciated

Dr. Bob gave my cat 5 extra years of happy and healthy life – Let me tell you about Dr. Bob and Coursey Boulevard Animal Hospital. I have been taking my cat to Dr. Bob for years and when she was 14 years old he diagnosed her with a kidney problem. Finally, she had to be put to sleep at the age of 19 1/2. He gave her 5 1/2 more years of good quality life with his excellent care. There was even a time when he took her home iwth him for the evening for treatment. I was with her when he had to put her to sleep and let me tell you it upset Dr. Bob almost as much s it did me. I'm going to wait a while to get another cat, probably this coming Spring, but you can bet I'm going ot take her to see Dr. Bob the very next day.

Response to Nurse1986 – We (the two Veterinary Technicians) here at Coursey Boulevard Animal Hospital, are appalled at the accusations that "Nurse1986" has posted! Since the puppy was not medically treated while boarding, that means that the care Daisy received while in our facility was 100% up to the staff. In that case, the attack falls directly on our shoulders.

First of all, the staff here at Coursey Boulevard Animal Hospital takes great pride in the care of your pets. Every single one of us has multiple pets of our own, and understands that they are a part of the family. We give each dog and cat the same treatment we would give our own! Both of our Kennel Technicians (they clean your dog's & cat's kennels, walk and feed them) are in school to be veterinarians, and besides being a fantastic experience and opportunity for them, they genuinely care about the animals we care for.

Daisy was boarded with us starting on Tuesday, June 28 and ending on Sunday, July 3. During the time she stayed with us, she was fed twice daily with food brought by the owner, which she ate at both meals. She also drank normally. She was walked minimally 2 to 3 times a day, and used the bathroom every time like a good girl. The Kennel Technicians said that she kept a clean kennel, which means she was walked sufficiently. Also, as a general rule which we all follow, collars & harnesses are not removed or tampered with unless the dog or cat is to get a bath. Daisy's owners declined to have her bathed, which meant the blue harness that was supposedly "so tight that her hair was matted underneath" was in fact never touched. (Did I mention that one of our Vet Techs has been a professional groomer for 4 years now and says that Daisy's hair is not long enough or the correct texture to knot up or mat?)

We can't understand where these accusations are coming from!! Daisy was happy, alert, tail wagging the whole time she was here. We ALL enjoyed her and we would ALL stop to pet her and give her attention every time we passed her kennel. She's a sweetheart, and we wanted to make sure she was given good care. We invite ANYONE wanting to see our facilities and wanting to see how your animals are treated to come on by ANYTIME!
