Immediate Service – I just started coming to this specific salon and they always have a bed open for me and the staff is very friendly.
Great Staff – Every visit the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. This has convinced me to continue my business here At The Beach
Extremely Unprofessional! – The first time I walked into this business I had a lengthy wait. As I stood third in line, there were five girls behind the counter, with only two actually serving clients. The other three girls were chatting and giggling amongst themselves. After some time went by, one of the two working clerks scolded the three that were goofing off, and told them if they were not going to do anything to get out from behind the counter. So instead of helping clients, that is exactly what they did. They moved from behind the counter, sat down in the client waiting area, and went on about their fun. The incident left me with the impression that this place was poorly managed (at best).
When I finally did make it to the counter for help, I told the clerk that I wanted to tan in their maximum strength bed. She was sweet & warm when she told me that would be fine and then I was immediatley escorted directly into a high-pressure sales tour of the entire facility, including the gym (I had little time to spare, and expressed this, but was pretty much ignored). After I took the mandatory tour, it was stressed that I should "join", giving my credit card for "convenient" monthly auto credit card deductions. After arguing for several minutes as to why I absolutely would not be "joining" anything, but would only be interested in buying a pre-paid short-term package, the clerk finally hastily agreed. Once she took my money, the sweetness was gone. I was then very coldly informed that not only was the maximum strength bed out of order, but the level just under was also out of order. ??? - when did this happen??? I have no idea whether the beds were truly down, and she did just not want to tell me until after she had gotten my money, or if they were not down at all, but they didnt want to waste their high pressure bulbs? I wont pretend to interpret their motivation, all I know is that they have lost my business.

Love ATB Tanning – Very nice and helpful staff. Always cheerful and full of tanning suggestions. My husband and i are very happy with the salon.

Please Read This – Run the other way from At The Beach! If you sign a contract with this company, you will never, ever be able to stop paying for services that you may not be using. This company also is VERY difficult to get a hold of for customer service. The employees are sales pushy and get outwardly angry if you refuse to sign a contract.
WORST BUSINESS IN WICHITA, HORRIBLE!!!!!! – At the Beach has the worst customer service I have ever seen. They lie to get you to sign their contract and then since you have already signed your life away to them they don't care about you. I was coned into signing a 2 year contract at $54.00 a month. I was told that it was the only package that included mystic, that it included fitness, and that this was the "last day" for this "special deal". I later found out that I did not have fitness included and that there was a cheaper package for mystic only. When I approached them about this, all they said was "Sorry, the girl was new and she told you wrong." They would not take responsibility for the girl and told me to call corporate. Corporate basically said the same thing..sorry, you signed the contract and you owe us. I still go there only because I am paying for it and every time I'm there they say "Do you know you can add fitness for free?" but what they don't say is that this extends your contract another year so it actually costs you over $600. All these details are on the back of the contract that you sign and they don't even mention that there is a back side.
I've been in there where they lie to other people to get them to sign up for the most expensive contract. HOW DOES A COMPANY LIKE THIS STAY IN BUSINESS!!! IT'S A SCAM!!!!! "At the Beach" is the WORST experience I have ever had with a business.
Another bad experience was when my credit card that "at the beach" charged every month was stolen. I called to cancel my card. I totally forgot that it was the card that they had on file. They tried to charge it, got denied, sent me to a collection agency, and charged me $30 for the "late payment" all within 2 days. They did not even call me to tell me first. No notice, nothing. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I almost forgot!!! About 1out of 4 times that I try to use Mystic there it is BROKEN. How are they keeping up their end of the contract if I can't even use what I am paying for!
