Customer Service – I have been dealing with Answering Specialists for about 4 years now and just about all my clients are very pleased with the service they are getting. They are grateful someone is there to assist them & to make appointments if nessary. I have dealth with Tim Harlan the company's owner & have not had any problems with him or any of the staff. To be honest I am grateful they are there. At least my clients are pleased & that is what counts...
The worst company EVER..... – This is such a bad company I can't believe it is still going I hope that everyone makes a report on BBB. The owner Tim Harlan is a complete unprofessional bad buisness person that will charge your card with out any permission! He is a bad seed and I know everything will
catch up to him!!!!
You're nuts if you go with these guys – Signed up with them for 3 months - got 3 messages forwarded to us - we thought it was our poor response rate to our mailers. Called them to check and they had actually received 9 calls so we missed 6 customers and took a hit on our image. Perhaps the WORST service I've seen in a long time. Pray if you still decide to go with them.
Answering Specialist Writes It's Own Reviews Claiming to be Customers – This company writes their own reviews and submits them as though they were from a customer - how pathetic! Check out the reviews for Portland, Tacoma and Seattle - all written on 9/2/07 and all 3 are from from Tim Harlan (sytim). This company is such a scam that they list their address for 5 cities using the addresses for that city's City Hall. I confronted Mr. Harlan about his false advertising. Here's his reply e-mail:
"The reason we stopped using City Search is because they published the geo-targeting addresses as our addresses. This is not new information ? this was done well over a year ago. So if they are still doing such ? we have no control over it".
City Search does not list make up address for it's business.
This company is operating in Washington State without a state, county or city license.
In the 3 months I used their service, they dropped calls, sent our office calls that were not ours, recorded calls for us when the phones were not forwarded, refused to provide a log of the calls they SAID they answered, e-mailed messages to us regarding other company calls, never answered the phones, put our clients calls on hold and never returned, answered the phone with the wrong company name and billed for 30 days of service when we first started and had only had the service for 7 days.
We stopped using their service on 10/08/09 and Mr. Halan demands payment through November. I question whether the contract I signed is even legal as it was issued by a company not authorized to conduct business. I am filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau (ours will be the 5th complaint against this company in 10 months) and with the Office of the Attorney General. I have also contact a friend who works for the Tacoma News Tribune and has published other stories from me involving companies who commit fraud.

They will cost you your time and money, stay away. – This is the worst possible service ever.
My company used it for a month. My clients were yelled at, they lost appointments, phone numbers, and even did not know my name when a client called.
They are not accountable. I just called and the operator answered and then started talking to someone else.
They cost us a lot of money in lost revenue.
They are the worst and the rudest save yourself the money and the headache that goes along with even trying them!
Worst possible choice - Avoid at all costs – We found this company via an internet search, and we should have extended that search to the well known online business review/complaint service, where they have multiple billing/customer service complaints. Our experience was no different. After canceling in writing via email (which was good enough for all other communications) they waited 4 months and charged our credit card again. They now claim they never got the cancellation! We canceled in the first place because 99% of our calls went unanswered and into our own voicemail system.. why would we want to pay an answering service to not answer calls? Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.
