I had a fantastic experience with this company. My car broke down and my car repair place recommended them. I spoke to Elite's dispatcher twice, and both times she was incredibly nice and double-checked that I was in a safe place. Although they told me it would be about 1.5 hours' wait (pretty normal amount of wait based on my previous experiences), the owner himself pulled up much sooner than that. He even waited while I finished up some business emails so that I could ride with him to the shop. The truck was extremely clean and we had a great conversation the whole way, no mean feat given that it was a 40 minute drive. When we arrived, everything went very smoothly and it was clear that the people at the shop had a positive relationship with the company. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them.
This company is disgusting. I was blocked in at the mall today while a guy was fixing someone's tire. I sat there for 15min, got frustrated and asked how long it was going to be. He replied, "AS LONG AS I TAKE!" When I called him out on his horrible attitude and for being a jerk he said he'd take longer just to make me sit there. I asked him to move his truck so I could get out and he REFUSED! He literally went to move his truck and said, "You know what? No, I'm not gonna. I'm going to make you sit there and wait." I had nothing to do with that company. I was just blocked in by his truck. When I called the Manager to get his employee to move his truck, he was just as rude. I told him I'd spread the word online about how terrible they are and he said "Good luck with that. You go right ahead." Well, it looks like I don't need to. Their 20% rating speaks for itself. This company is obviously full of incompetent, rude, and low life scum.
This is a completely unprofessional company. From one employee up to the 'Manager'. BTW don't bother calling the manager, he is rude and needs managerial training. Never ever use this company.
Heartless. That is the kindest thing to call this company. My wife was taken to the hospital and my mother came up to help with our kids while I am out of state for work. I understand there is a policy in our subdivision that doesn't allow overnight street parking but she wasn't aware of that, do they drive around looking to make tough situations worse? I understand the towing expense but impound fees as well and the car was only there for a couple hours?!?!?!? Have some compassion and at least some flexibility. Beware of their business policies.
Don't know what all the fuss is about!!! – I don't know why everybody is writing negative reviews for these guys. If you read these it sounds to me like everybody here is blaming them for your mistakes. I have been in the auto industry for ten years and these guys take care of us, and that they do!!!! I recommend these guys to everybody and will continue to....
WILL STEAL YOUR CAR!! – This place literally stole my car...because of $50! I was going to donate it to MPR and a man at TiresPlus in Richfield overheard me (must be a cooperation between the 2 places) and said his friend runs a place that buys junkers. So the deal was for $50 Elite towing would pick it up from TiresPlus and I would transfer the title to them in exchange for $50. Haven't heard from them since, left two messages and emailed them. Nothing. I still have the title though...call the police? What do you think?
Worst Service Ever - Horrible Staff – I never write reviews on places, but this place was so bad that I had to write something to let everyone else know how terrible this place is.
My car was towed in Apple Valley after being parked in the street for only 20 minutes! Called to get information regarding my vehicle and the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Went to pick up my car and was almost impossible to find this crappy place. When I got there I received the worst customer service of my life. $160 later I got my vehicle back, but not without some more terrible customer service before I left this dump.
To summarize, this place is terrible, the worst business I have ever been associated with in Minnesota and the rest of the United States. I would rather die than deal with this run down, crap business ever again. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
Car Jackers! Help me out, pass the news. – Would give ZERO stars. The snuck in with their lights off to steal a car so they could hold it for ransom.
Our baby sitter left our house to find her car missing. We had no idea what happened! We had to call the police to find out it was towed.
She arrived at 6pm, and the car was towed sometime before 11 pm. (Not even overnight!) She was infront of an open window, and her car was litterally less than 20 feet away.
THESE GUYS RUN SILENT AND DARK.
She is a pillar of the community and I am HORRIFIED this happened at our home. She watches our boy out of the kindness of her heart... They are the proverbial thugs who would literally steal candy from a baby!
They towed the car several suburbs over. (Not even local) It is not possible to recover the car immediately, and it will cost over $150 to pick it up.
She works as a nurse who makes home visits to women with newborns that are only a couple days old. What if she had to work tomorrow? Sorry new mother, sorry newborn? This is just monsterous, she supports our community, stealing from her is stealing from all mothers!
When I spoke to the officer he said that he admitted their behavior was shady and that he has been called twice this summer already for cars snatched JUST FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!
The officer told me to follow up with our townhouse association since it technically occured on private property:
The KEY PHRASE is to get your complex to CHANGE TO "tow by complaint only" otherwise they work like predators. They ARE breaking the law by driving with their lights off at night, but an officer has to catch them in the act...
No one expects car jackers to come to your house in an upscale subburban townhome... Let alone steal from a saint while you are out!
Seriously, less than zero stars because this is criminal and just plain wrong. Help change things, Say it with me: TOW BY COMPLAINT ONLY.
Horrible Service- very rude – I recently got my car towed out of the apartment complex parking lot due to not having current tags on it (not true). Well my car has been registered since July and had current tags on the plates. I don't know how the the tags were removed the night it got towed, but Elite towing said there is nothing he could do about it and the only way I could get my car back is come in with $240 cash! He was VERY rude and disrespectful on the phone when I asked him about my options. I understand what kind of business he is running and no one will ever be happy that their car got towed, but there is no reason to be so rude and inconsiderate; he cares nothing about you or your car...he just wants his money!
Do not use this company! – We had a run in with this company last night at our own apartment complex. We usually park our car in the garage but when we first get home we park in a parking spot by the door so we can unload our kids and get them inside. We had not even been home 10 min and they had our car hooked up already because we did not have a parking permit in our window. We tried explaining to them that we don't have a permit because we park in our garage. So for them to just unhook the car they wanted a 100.00 drop fee! Which is a ridiculous price for a drop fee!
These people are such a rip off and they don't care about you or your car. They even had our car hooked up wrong. We had to tell the driver how to hook up our own car. We were not able to pay the drop fee because we did not have a 100.00 cash on us and I am not even sure who carries that much cash on them. So now we have to get it out of impound for 240.00 which is another outrageous price! We will for sure be checking our car before we leave for any damage and if we find any we will be suing them!
DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR PRIVATE PROPERTY TOWING!
