Worst Place Ever – I went to get a haircut at this place and I should have known that something was wrong when the owner said that she was available the same day that I called. If you own a salon and you are the lead stylist you should be booked for weeks. Well anyways I asked for 1-2 inches to be cut off and it ended up being a lot more. She did not know how to cut hair or dry hair either. I looked like I had a big fro. This was the worst customer service experience ever. The hair products they used were not even high quality. Dont waste your time here.
I went here b/c I bought a gift certificate off Becca's Super Savers. I was weary when I showed up b/c of my phone appointment problems. 1st Call was to schedule a Hot Stone Massage. I was told that their machine for the stones was broken, so I asked when it would be fixed and was told 1 week. I called back 3 weeks later and was told they DON"T DO Hot stone massages, so I made an appt. to get a Deep Tissue massage. I was called back later that day and they cancelled my appt. Told me that they didn't have the deep tissue therapist on that day. OKAY! Then I made an appt. for three days later. When I arrived, I was checked in by a young boy, who I believe was the son of the owner. The owner was at the bank and would be back in just a minute for my massage! She first tried to convince me that I needed a head and neck massage, but I told her that i wanted a DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE. She took me in the room, the sheets were dirty and ratty and I was very tense from the setting. She began on the massage and I TRULY BELIEVE that she was not a liscensed therapist. My untrained husband gives better massages than she did! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! They will be out of business in a few months....I AM SURE OF IT! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE doesn't even begin to explain the unpleasant experience! I FELT VIOLATED AND SICK after leaving. Oh yeah, I had her stop the massage 24 minutes in and they did not charge me....I still have the certificate and don't plan to EVER USE IT!
Very Disappointing Spa Experience – My first (and last) experience at The Franklin Body & Soul Spa was truly the most disappointing spa or salon experience ever. I should have realized something was amiss when I called to make an appointment for a pedicure and the phone was answered by a young man who sounded as though he was 12 or 13. (I later found out that he was the 14-year-old-son of the owner who is "hanging out" there while on vacation from school.) When I arrived for the appointment, I was told by their unprofessional receptionist that there was no appointment for me. The owner happened to walk in the door at that time and told me that I could come back in an hour and they could fit me in. Upon my return, I found the 14-year-old boy working the front reception desk & answering phones. The owner gave me my pedicure. The foot soak was okay, the scrub wasn't as good as I've received elsewhere but the worst of it was that my toenails were clipped and filed so jagged that I had to ask the technician/owner to straighten them out - which she never really could do. The color polish on my toes is shockingly sloppy. I asked that it be cleaned up which she did a little but it still looks awful. I will add that the owner took $20 off of the service since they had "lost" my appointment. That was a nice gesture. However, I would rather have paid full price at another spa and received a professional pedicure rather than what I received at Franklin Body & Soul. I had purchased some discount coupons from a marketing service (Channel 4) here in Nashville for this spa. I now have $100 worth of these coupons but I wouldn't dream of going back to this spa - even if the service was free. I found the entire atmosphere to be unprofessional, disorganized and well . . . strange. The place was completely empty of customers (which should have clued me in). They seem to be nice people but I question where they received their training. I would never recommend this spa to anyone and I will never return.
Unsatisfactory Experience – I tried out a massage with a gift certificate I recieved. I will never go there again, nor would I reccomend it! Once I checked in with the receptionist, I later find out that was my massage person. She never introduced herself to me or explained she would be my massage person. We talked briefly about why I was there and where my tightness was. She never ven touched that area of my lower back! I could have had my 4 year old niece massage me instead. After the massge, a young boy checked me out whiel my massage person sat in the same lobby reading a gossip magazine. The postive side was it was a gift certificate, so I was out anything, but the lowsy tip I gave her! if you want to feel like you're visitng a doctotr with the cold decor and unporfessional staff, then enjoy!
