Citysearch Editorial Review – Just outside the International District lies a secret Garden, where the dim sum is plentiful, served late at night and doesn’t require an hour wait for either a parking spot or a table. From 7 am until well past midnight, Tea Garden serves up an enormous menu of Chinese dishes, including an extensive array of casserole-like hot-pot dishes, slow braised and flavorful. The best of Tea Garden, however, is served from carts between 11am and 1pm on weekends. While they do dim sum from their menu at all hours on all days, the selection is most extensive and the dishes are freshest at the prime time on Saturdays and Sundays. Sit down, pour a glass of tea and start pointing at what looks good. This is an especially good place to bring a first time dim sum eater for a taste of all the chaos without the wait.
